How do I setup staking?

In order to begin staking your coins: - Download wallet, open, let chain sync
- Encrypt wallet, send coins to wallet.
- Click unlock in the bottom right corner
- Let coins mature (wait several hours)
- In reality, staking is not of much use unless you hold for months
Thanks Ferguson, I plan on holding for a while so why not? Plus I've never staked a coin before so I wanted to give it a try. So I followed the steps you gave me. I've sent the coins to my wallet from bittrex (just a few to test) annnnd I have yet to see them arrive in my wallet. Am I doing something wrong? lol nevermind, the coins showed up.... i guess the only thing i do now is let it sit |

I just feel bad for those who think they can buy back in cheaper than 8k. When you wait...  the train going nowhere its waiting for me i traveling 1 st class because some 1 sold me there 8000sats ticket for 3000sats cheap as chips Wanna put some bitcoin where your mouth is? I'll bet you no one will ever get in at 8k again. The people who invested in BitSwift seem to be smart money and smart money never sells for a loss! So how much are we betting? i bet you any money u want below 8k lol lol 0.5 btc 0.5btc? Ok sure.. who do you want to use as an escrow to hold the coins.. I'm ready to send the coins now.. Pick an escrow. i will hodl ur coins for u.. hahahah |

Do you see how fast the coins sold, how much interest (positive or negative) is in this thread? Do you think that everyone who owns these coins, who bought them at 8k, will take a loss? Especially when there's so much interest and buys up to 10k on day one? How's your math skills? WOW! Never seen an ico do this. |

We may need to re think the masternode system, how many masternodes are you aiming to (using a quarter of coins for masternodes will get you a max of 200 masternodes... that would be enough?)?
In the case of getting an extra %3, users will get 60 HAL more per year? I don't think that can cover the cost of setting up an extra box for a year (not even in VM scenarios), unless value rises a lot...
Another thing... if we can modify the reward, we may think in another feature... you said masternodes would protect the network, but since you will need a lot of coins, a Deep dive of the value (or great rise), could cause users to drop their coins. So, if reward is greater, maybe there is a way to hold the status of a masternode for a fixed term, let say you set your wallet as masternode, then your coins can't be send for x blocks (to prevent a massive drop of the amount of masternodes).

Update.  That looks incredible. But what is it for? Logo Alternative? 3D Printed Coin with QR code on back Sold for HAL on HAL store? Cool Rendering? Metal Minted Coin? Cool rendering for marketing? YOU DECIDE. I was originally going for a hammered metal look on the background, but then i thought... that looks like.... !MOON! |
