Bayern Leverkusen should not even try to do that because they will lose relevancy without those key players by next season. A lot is expected from them after a brilliant season from them in the just concluded season. They need all of their key players and even more in order to be at their best next season also. Xabi Alonso staying back with them should help convince this players that have trained under him for up to a season and bringing out the best in them. He shouldn’t gamble it and allow them to go thinking that he’ll get a good replacement for them. If he continues with this current Bayern Leverkusen squad, I feel he’ll excel better in the next season than he did in the first season with them.

A lot of people have high hopes in them and they believe with Xabi Alonso staying with them for the next season, they won’t be less of their performance as they did in the first season but rather improved in all aspect as they prepare to participate in the champions league which is the most competitive of all competitions they will be playing in next season. Their undefeated run has given them an upper hand and they should utilize it very well as teams will be more sceptical playing with them from next season.
Leverkusen will certainly have great difficulty repeating the same achievements as before. Competition in the Bundesliga is expected to increase after Bayern Munich and Dortmund start the new season, as well as other matches in Europe. Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, but they will probably be thrown into the Europa League if they fail in the group stages. They will never be the same even if Xavi Alonso will try his best, but still have a good chance.

I never think Leverkusen can match their unbeaten record next season, but everyone can expect logical things about them next season. Xabi Alonso has a big responsibility to maintain his team's performance, this is the most difficult challenge I imagine for him next season.

The current Real Madrid squad is not bad, all the players are in their best form, the arrival of Mbappe makes this Los Blancos squad even stronger as others say, I believe the game statistics have improved again.

The last few seasons Real Madrid's player purchases have never failed, maybe what failed was the purchase of Eden Hazard in the past but now they are investing more in young players who have talent and in the future will have high market value.

What is careful is the arrival of Mbappe for free while last season offered him 200 million this is really a good strategy done by Real Madrid.
I once said that Mbappe is a selfish player and doesn't really care about other players. He seemed to really prioritize individual achievements over team achievements during his time at PSG, so I hope the atmosphere in the Real Madrid dressing room never changes after his arrival. Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Mbappe have their own egos, if these players don't get along then the team's performance will never be as expected.

I don't want to see Real Madrid's performance decline after Mbappe is in the squad, of course I hope for a better performance compared to the previous season. Mbappe is a free purchase which is expected to make Real Madrid even more feared in the world as a team, so it is hoped that all players can make a good contribution and work together throughout next season.

Even though Juventus were able to finish in a fairly good ranking, to be honest, their performance was not optimal, even though they certainly showed their maximum performance. but maybe it's because Allegri doesn't get along with Juventus, so they haven't found the best point in their performance. with the arrival of Thiago Motta I hope that Juventus can return to their best performance which is quite very good, also Thiago Motta is a quality coach so there is a possibility that Juventus can recover and be ready to compete better either because of new players who are directors or because of their upbringing. Thiago Motta, who indeed succeeded in making Juventus recover and perform brilliantly.

What you say is correct, indeed Juventus already has enough players in its squad, with this I hope that their adaptation to each other can go well so that they can find their best point in training and show it in future matches.
There is no doubt that I admit that Juventus has shown great improvement in the 2023-2024 season. The team's performance seemed unstable towards the end of the season, but Juventus is lucky to remain in the Champions League zone next season. Thiago Motta certainly has good plans for Juventus next season, so there are good hopes of seeing his team competing at the top of the standings.

Several pre-season test matches could certainly be the right time for Thiago Motta to plan his plans for next season. Choosing players and determining the right game strategy is clearly expected from him, but in fact a few matches are never enough for adaptation. Juventus' new era with Motta begins, so I wish them all the best.

Both Real Madrid and Chelsea were trying hard to hire Pedro Lima the young Brazilian player for the next season.
Since he is a 17-year-old player, he can be a good investment for the team he joins there and he can play there for years and become a superstar player because of the experience he has. While considering the power of Real Madrid I was expecting to see Real Madrid hire this player but this time it seems Chelsea won the race and they are very close to signing the contract with this player.
I'm not sure what Real Madrid expects from this player. Pedro Lima is a very young right-back to be expected to replace Carvajal, so I don't think Real Madrid will take this rumor as reality. So far Real Madrid is more likely to buy quality players than to recruit new stars in their team, of course they don't need more young players because good financial strength can help them find other quality players.

Pedro Lima is only 17 years old and he plays for Sport Recife in Brazil's Serie B. Of course he is looked at by scouts, but I don't think Real Madrid really need this player. If something is needed, then it is very possible for Real Madrid to bring in a quality right-back who can replace the aging Carvajal.

If you check the situation very well you will understand that everything is just all about money. If a club has a lot of money, it will be able to buy any kind of coach they want and as well as by quality players to enable them win trophies. But if a club is in financial problems, they will likely not be able to buy any good players or sign good coach and as well they will remain in their financial problem because they will not win trophies that comes with monetary reward.
And that very much you were referring to, PSG had more quality than Barcelona because they were more financially stable and that was why they want and added a whooping $50 million dollars to their portfolio. So dismissing Xavi Hernandez and not serving the financial crisis will not bring any positive results to Barcelona in order to content with Real Madrid this season.
Having quality players and coaches really supports the team's plans to win the title at the end of the season. I agree that financially strong teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG tend to dominate their domestic competitions, but in European competition like the Champions League that is never guaranteed.

We certainly have proof of the assumption above and the three teams I mentioned both won the domestic title. Real Madrid has a lot of money to buy star players, which makes them superior in squad depth compared to other rivals. The same thing must be acknowledged by PSG and Manchester City, so I never wonder why they can dominate.

Of course there are some crucial matches that luck is needed to win especially when both clubs are of the same strength. Dortmund will not reach the semifinals next season because they will face difficult opponents who will be playing them with the mindset of winning them out of the league, and if Dortmund is not lucky enough to play weak club that they can defeat, they might find it difficult to qualify from the round of 16. It is only Real Madrid that have being consistent in the semifinals recently. Inter could not go far last season, even when they played the finals last two seasons. Luck and strength is what a team needs to win UCL.
Yes, you are right. Real Madrid is the most consistent team so far in the Champions League every season. They always qualify for the round of 16 and even higher. This consistency is very comparable to the quality of the existing players and the good performance of the coach, so it seems natural that we often find that they have a big chance of winning the title every season.

Manchester City is the team that has most often threatened Real Madrid in the last few seasons, but thanks to the good cooperation of coaches and players, Real Madrid can be the best to date. Of course we cannot be a guarantee that Real Madrid will remain the same in the long term, that's because other teams will also be very competitive every season to win the title.

I feel like Chelsea will definitely get better, they just need some time and because the team is mostly consisting of players who are playing with each other for the first time, I feel like it was normal to not get a great result. Pochettino could be changed, they can get another manager that's alright, but I think it is going to be something that will take a while before they could just have a good result in the end. Look at United, they decided to keep Erik Tan Hag.

Because they are very well aware that they are going to end up with something that will be great, we should not really be considering the situation to be all that complicated, it is something that will not take that much time and they should be fine in the end.
You are right, Chelsea will not magically improve after Enzo Maresca is appointed coach. Enzo Maresca needs time to adapt and introduce his strategy to the players, he even needs time to get to know the character of each player before formulating a game plan against a team. The process of adapting to a new coach does not always run smoothly, some of the main players may even doubt the coach's abilities due to lack of experience from a technical or other perspective.

Chelsea should keep Pochettino, who has found his team playing well towards the end of the season. I don't know clearly what caused Pochettino to be fired other than Chelsea management being in a rush for quick improvements, even after Enzo Maresca coached us we didn't really believe Chelsea's performance could be much better.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading or gambling? on: June 12, 2024, 06:25:14 PM
In general, gambling and trading are completely different. Both have the risk of losing money, but the goals of the two are also different. Gamblers come to gambling to get fun or entertainment as well as money, while in trading everyone comes to make a profit. No trader has the goal of having fun while trading, but gamblers have both (fun and money).

The advantages of sports betting and card games over trading and investing depend largely on the goals of each participant. Sports betting is not very complicated in terms of analysis, but trading can be much more complicated.

I agree with you. Daniele De Rossi is quite successful although Roma position in Serie A standings was still in 6th place. De Rossi could improve the position of AS Roma to 6th place at least. Before he managed Roma, AS Roma wasn't in 6th place. As far as I know, AS Roma was struggling to stay in the top 8 before De Rossi became the coach. AS Roma was lucky that De Rossi could improve the performance of AS Roma quite fast. With the lack of experience as a coach, his achievement with AS Roma in this season is quite satisfyingly. I still remember many people underestimated him when he was selected to be the replacement of Mourinho.

Yes, the stats looks good. He could win 14 matches in 26 matches. He actually can make better stats, if AS Roma didn't lose focus in the final 5 matches of this season. However, it is not too bad because AS Roma still can finish in Europa league zone at least. De Rossi can have another chance to finish the season in a better position in the next season. I really expect AS Roma to return into the top 5.
As you know, the statistics for the first season are good, but there is no guarantee that the second season will be more successful. Daniele De Rossi will of course try to improve and patch up several problems within the team to improve their performance, but the competition to be in the top 5 should be even more difficult than last season. Conte has got his job done at Napoli, he will also join the race for a top spot next season.

Inter, Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Roma and Napoli will compete closely next season. Serie A will be hotter and worth looking forward to every weekend, of course this is due to increased competition between teams compared to just seeing the dominant team leading throughout the season.

Well to some extent many will agree with you but to another level some gamblers might disagree but am of the opinion that risk need to be considered with atleast some realistic view to it too but that depends on what you are risking on because I feel even the game of gambling there are some particular ones that you can access some realistic research to it while others are purely on the fact that luck is in control.
Yes, I know that not all gamblers agree with my opinion, it really depends on what type of game they are betting on. Dice, slots, lottery and various other types of luck-based games are very difficult to analyze, but some other bet including sports betting do not depend entirely on luck. This is more challenging than the others, even if your analysis cannot guarantee victory based on facts.

Horse racing, football, basketball, volleyball and various other sports bets can be analyzed based on data and player performance, this is better than slots and others in my opinion, but it all depends on what you are interested in. I love slots, while I also love sports betting.

You are absolutely right because most people's end up regretting today due to too much fear, however I think is always necessary for us to take risk in some satin things to avoid being regret tomorrow because I often see people's that normally end up regretting at last that why did they not do this things in the earlier stage, although instead of one to keep on regretting on something is better for you take risk because for you to succeed in life you must take risk.
The risks of investing and gambling are never the same, so you should never be too sure that you have made the right decision. In gambling, you have to consider risks based on opportunities, but in investing you need to emphasize analysis such as fundamental and technically. It is true that big risks also make it possible to get big profits or win, but at least you have to make decisions based on analysis, not just rely on luck.

The financial advice I've heard is "take the risk and get the return", this is true, but it should be based on realistic expectations rather than relying entirely on luck.

Currently, Roma has officially extended de Rossi contract, although he failed to bring roma to finish in the Champions League zone next season, but performance considerations and also consistency are one of the reasons Roma offered a new contract to De Rossi, this season de Rossi only continues the team that was left by Mourinho, while next season of course he has absolute power to build the team according to his wishes,  I think what De Rossi has achieved this season is certainly inseparable from all Mourinho hard work before he left Roma and De Rossi has only been able to capitalise on that momentum to take Roma even better.

Next season will of course be a real test for de Rossi in carrying out his duties as Roma coach, so indeed he needs strong financial support to build a team and compete for the scudetto, next season we can see many big teams that have made improvements to their squad so inevitably Roma also has to do this if they really want to get the scudetto,  Previously, Mourinho did not get enough budget to build the squad while this season it seems that Roma policy in spending money will also not change, so it is important for De Rossi to be able to maximize the existing budget to be able to get players according to the needs of the team.
As a former player who was appointed as a coach, I think Daniele De Rossi can be considered successful in his first season at Roma. Daniele De Rossi managed to record 6 losses and 6 draws and 14 wins in 26 matches at Roma in his first season. These statistics are good for a manager and this success is marked by Roma qualifying for the Europa League next season.

So far I have not considered Daniele De Rossi as a coach who might be able to compete for the Serie A title next season. He has to get a lot of good challenges as a coach because we all know that Roma's performance has been very unstable in the last many seasons. Daniele De Rossi certainly has a chance to bring success to Roma, but I don't think his chances are any better.

Here are the statistics for the 2023-2024 season:

Manchester United are still dancing around linking coaches and at the same time making the man Erik ten Heg to feel they want to keep him as the manager of UTD next season, to be honest I feel Manchester United board are being disrespectful with there indecision. Erik ten Heg deserve more than what they're giving him at this point because how can they make him feel he's the man for the job and at the same time he isn't?
At least let them tell the players, the fans and everyone who needs to know if Erik ten Heg is going to be in charge next season because other managers in the EPL have already started making plans on how they're going to begin the season and the players to sign and sell but UTD are still drawing maps that lead to nowhere, I just feel this is an act of disrespect to the man ten Heg. What do you think is the main problem with the Red Devils board on this issue concerning Erik ten Heg?
Ten Hag is not bad in my opinion, but it is the depth of Manchester United's squad that needs to be improved. They need a better defense, midfielders and attackers than they currently have, but that is the big obstacle so far. Management seems unable to do that for Ten Hag, even though they have to have full confidence in the plans that are being built.

I don't know what they're worried about if Ten Hag gets this job any longer. Basically, we have got a lot of evidence that Ten Hag is a good coach, but the lack of support and trust within the team seems to make his team's performance shaky. It's not good to fire and replace managers in the short term, it's bad for player psychology.

It has become commonplace in football that something surprising happens, Girona has created new competition in the Champions League zone which means other teams need to improve their quality next season. Barcelona is still Real Madrid's rival in the title race even though they are currently experiencing financial difficulties, the rivalry between the two will always be fierce because of the team's history of always being competitors in this competition.

The arrival of a new coach will mean that Barcelona will be filled with several new players next season. Flick will make Barcelona more developed with the philosophy that was used with Bayern Munich. He is a great coach, Barcelona has high hopes for him. Several new players are starting to be targeted to build a squad to provide competition to Real Madrid, which is increasingly difficult to beat after Mbappe presence in the squad.
You know, I'm not anti-Barcelona even though I'm a Real Madrid fan. I admit that Hansi Flick can give Ancelotti and all the other coaches in La Liga some healthy competition, but considering the depth of Barcelona's current squad then I think they are too far gone to hope for the title. There is the possibility of Hansi Flick's great run at Barcelona in his first season, but he will have to work extra hard from the start.

There is no better reason to underestimate Barcelona next season. They have a good squad to beat anyone regardless of quality, age or experience. Their attack line is still fine, as are the midfielders. Improvements will probably focus on defense considering that was the problem they experienced last season. Of course Real Madrid is the favourite, but I believe Barcelona is the second favourite.

No matter how good Arsenal are as long as Manchester City remains strong then they will definitely be very difficult to make a breakthrough even to become champions. Speaking of appropriateness, in the last 2 seasons Arsenal's performance deserves to be praised because it can be said that in the last 2 seasons this is the best achievement for Arteta while coaching Arsenal, it's just that in terms of clear trophies it is still very difficult to happen.

Pep with his carrier who really knows what to do at Manchester City makes it difficult for Arsenal to win trophies and make a difference in the ongoing season. This season, big hopes clearly rest back on Arsenal because they see several other clubs that are experiencing problems, especially for next season Liverpool also I am quite doubtful with Slott who is just starting his first season in the EPL and some problems for the players that have not been resolved, so indeed this is a little complicated to force Liverpool.
Not that I doubt Slott but I still feel that for the first season Slott still needs adjustment and this could be an advantage for Manchester City because their rivals are a little less.
From there, perhaps we can predict that Manchester City will most likely make new history in the Premier League by winning 5 titles in 5 consecutive seasons. No team has been able to win 4 titles in 4 consecutive seasons and Manchester City has done it, but does anyone want to see Manchester City do it again next season?

The big hope is with Arsenal. Of course, due to the improvement in the team's performance in the last two seasons, Arsenal hopes to be able to break the chain of dominance of Manchester City as winners of the Premier League title. It is very difficult of course, but there is hope from Arsenal if Arteta really learns from his failure in two consecutive seasons. Arsenal lost in the last quarter of the Premier League, which means they have to improve their performance towards the end of the season.

What do you say about Sevilla? Their future really doesn't look good at all honestly.  Sad  The last time I saw them having a good finish was the 2021/2022 season. Since then we have seen a huge downfall. First finishing at the 12th position and now even worse, 14th. If they continue like this next time they can find themselves fighting out of the relegation zone.

I feel like one of the main factors in this is their changing managers too often. They don't give their manager enough time to have the system work better. I still think they were unfair to Mendilibar for example. Sacking him after winning a Europa League title was just insane!
Too often hiring new managers will reduce player performance, I know there is a correlation. However, in my opinion, Sevilla not only has problems in management, but they also have problems in squad depth. Teams that are not competitive usually have poor squad depth or at least not better than others. This must be reviewed and improved, but Sevilla likely does not have much money to build its squad.

Sevilla is usually a well-ranked team in La Liga, but in recent seasons their performance has declined. Not giving the new coach much time may also be one reason, but the depth of the squad is not ideal is the reason behind all that. If Sevilla want to get back in contention, then they need to build a better squad since now.

In last few years, we are having too many experiments in Manchester Untied with too many extraordinary players are unable to perform as their reputation which is wired thing happening with inquires are also the biggest issue for them, but Bruno is still one of the best players which Manchester United needed for their better future, but we all know we are having uncertainty around Manchester United and Eric Ten Hag is doing his own experiments things are not clear who is going to stay and who is leaving but still he could be here for next season which will make some better results and most chances they could be able to have better spot again in Premier League.

In this transfer window we are going to have many clubs are going for their squads overhaul which will make interesting changes so right now talking about any change is too early but still I also feel he needs to stay here.
I personally don't really like Bruno Fernandes who is always in the Manchester United squad, he can sometimes be a very selfish player. Most fans may have considered Bruno to be the best player in the squad so far, but I don't really agree with that even though I know Bruno has made a big contribution in the last few seasons.

It is hoped that the regeneration will help Manchester United build a more solid and unified squad. Of course it is true that it requires a lot of money and time, but this dream could become a reality if Manchester United management were willing to fix it. Next season might be very interesting to wait for, there should be improvements as expected.

Those that will panic will definitely not like to see the market crash as soon as possible. Majority of us are long term holders but it's painful for them to see that the value of their assets drop. I've been there and felt that and it's no fun but that will give you a tougher feeling towards this crazy highly volatile Bitcoin.  Cheesy
In fact, I am also not very happy to see the value of my Bitcoin accumulation in fiat decreasing due to price volatility, but on the other hand I tend to prefer to accumulate when prices are falling compared to when prices are rising. This scenario allows me to collect more sats, but I have to ignore the total value lost in the short term.

Once you have decided to be a long-term holder, the best advice is to ignore short-term volatility and accumulate as much as you can. I do this all year round even though in reality I don't always consistently do it every week.

If there is already a belief in Bitcoin, namely about reaching $100K in Bitcoin, of course there is no need for doubt to be mixed into that belief, mate. Because price corrections in the market are something that is very common in every cycle and I think everyone who has been through several market cycles will definitely not be surprised by this. And what's unique is that they still believe in increasing the price of Bitcoin even higher because several moments that have occurred this year can certainly become a new foundation for Bitcoin which will become stronger in the market. So the potential for large price corrections also has better resistance at this time and you don't need to hesitate about that.
The road to $100k is still wide open before your eyes, it's just whether you want to take advantage of it or just want to wait for the train to roll fast. Price volatility is no longer a problem, of course there are always corrections along the way but you should know what needs to be done at that time.

If you are a long-term shareholder and believe in the potential for higher prices in the future, you are the person most excited to see the price fall. Of course you can have more bitcoins as they accumulate if the price goes down, but other people will definitely feel panicked mainly because they don't want to lose their profits. The advice is, buy the dip and accumulate, then hold.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: June 07, 2024, 08:00:19 PM
Addicted gamblers don't always lose money. They often experience intermittent wins which reinforce their behavior. Addicted gamblers have more wins than losses. This is why they get addicted to gambling and try to chase after winnings. But everyone's fate is not always the same. Sometimes due to excessive stupidity and greed, addicted gamblers return home empty-handed. So true addicted gamblers know when to take a break from gambling activities.
I agree with you, that is part of the fact.
Addicted gamblers often don't appreciate their winnings, I mean they don't know how to stop because of their ambition to win more. Of course, this is self-defeating behavior and as far as I know, the average greedy gambler ends up going home empty-handed.

Recently someone I know (not a friend) won almost $32k betting on slot games. He withdrew his winnings later that day and planned to buy a car for fun, while he was still gambling every day. In the end, he still failed to stop after winning the big win because to fulfill his gambling needs he pawned his car to get money. I don't need to tell you where the car is now, you can guess the end of the story.
