IOC Giveaway Announcement (Part 1)

Dear I/O Coin Community,

Firstly, thank you to everyone that donated and those that offered to help with the Giveaway ideas. Due to some of the limitations with the UI we made a last minute change to the Giveaway campaign. We will still be doing a limited time only social media (Facebook & Twitter) campaign, here is the new structure:

1. Each day for a five day period there will be an image released via IOC social media channels
2. Within the image there will be a puzzle, for example some mistakes you will have to look for
3. The number of mistakes in each image will equate to a letter of the alphabet, for example three mistakes will equate to the letter ‘c’
4. You will then have to quote on a retweet or comment in facebook the number of mistakes you see and tag in at least one friend
5. At the end of each day there will be a 100 IOC winner and some mystery runner up prizes selected by random
6. There will be a chance to also win 1000 IOC grand prize after the fifth image, this will go to the first person that sends the word that all five puzzle correct answers (not necessarily in the same order)  spells via an encrypted message to the Giveaway alias (TBA).

One condition is that you must have at least 20 followers on twitter or Facebook friends

To make this a great success please help the community in spreading the word and getting as many people interested as possible. New launch date is 18th December.

We are putting together a community funded giveaway to launch just before DIONS

I/OCoin Giveaway

What is it?
Before DIONS is released we will announce that there will be a giveaway:
1. 2 ($5) IOC for the first 100 users per week that sends an encrypted message to a the DION IOCGIVEAWAY; and
2. Each of the successful users at the end of the campaign will be entered into a lottery for a chance to win 250 IOC. Chance of winning are calculated that way : aC x bT x cS

C : Number of coins in your wallet at the end
T : Number of transactions in your wallet at the end
S : Number of coins gained by stacking during the period

How?
Method 1 (existing crypto users):
Each user will have to download the wallet and sync the blockchain. Then they will have to create a DION and send an encrypted message to “IOCGIVEAWAY” DION,  (instructions will be provided on a landing page). They will then have to tweet to confirm that they just sent an encrypted message e.g. “I sent an encrypted msg via new $IOC #DIONS ready wallet and got 2 free IOC ($5). My alias xxx. Try It NOW! www.iocoin.io/giveaway”
Tag in as many friends as possible or gets some retweets
Skuffone and Puglist can administer via AWS windows wallet.

Method 2 (non crypto users):
As per above; and
BUT(!) we want to target a more broad twitter user base, for instance all the twitter followers from each user that is going to retweet or get tagged in. Therefore, not everyone will have a bittrex account, so to ensure they have enough IOC to send a message they will have to copy and paste their public key into the landing page to receive 0.02 IOC to pay for the fees.

Why do this?
To increase adoption/usage, nodes, awareness and network staking weight

When?
Announcement to be made as soon as possible, campaign to run for at least 5 weeks.

What need to be done before going live?

3. Add on the landing page something like this Giveaway was organised by IOC happy users to celebrate the launch of the new wallet and DIONS upgrade and can be ended at anytime
4. AWS instance to set up a windows DIONS wallet and fund it with 1750 IOC
5. Create a way to send automatically 0.02 IOC when someone give a public address
6. “Giveaway” tab on the wallet bellow “Buy IOC” for the time of the giveaway period, that way we can integrate the form here to have the user paste his public key and it would be even more user friendly and efficient.
