Wow. It's been a while since I've seen these type of kiosks. They really do look old school. Just curious, not that I'd buy any of these (don't have $30k lying around to get minimum order anyway), but where were these used and in which period? Which currencies supported? Which OS? What's the after sales support like?
Should provide a lot more specification details, perhaps even a website. Lots of curious buyers, why not give them all the info up front? Would love to hear if you actually got any orders.
Hi, these were used mostly in Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, etc). They have been in service for 2-3 years indoor use only. We prepare them (components check, lubrication, dust removal). Supported currencies (bill validator firmwares): USD, CAD. Installed OS and software: Linux, with pre-installed Trovemat software (FAQ about software: https://trovemat.com/pages/faq). After sales support (software updates, priority email support): 1-year included in price, after - $100 per year. Technical specs: 1. Based on Cashcode SM bill validator (supports USD or CAD, you can ask us to upload appropriate firmware prior to shipping, but after sale firmware update/replace is easy and done over-the-air). 2. Thermal receipt printer: Custom TG, or Custom VKP (varies). 3. Main board: Intel Celeron, 1Gb or 2Gb RAM, 60Gb or 80Gb HDD. 4. Webcamera: Logitech. 5. UPS: not included. Connectivity support: Ethernet (included) + WiFi or 4G (dongles are not included). You will get completely tested working device. Refund is possible, return shipping cost (to our warehouse in North Carolina) paid by buyer. Software configuration usually take 10-15 minutes, already verified and working account on supported exchange is required. We recommend Cryptopia - easy and fast. How fast such investment will be paid off. The ATM + shipping in sum give pretty high investment, especially for people with East Europe salaries, so how much profit the ATM may bring per month of expluatation?
Return of Investment (ROI) really depends on multiple factors. How high transaction fee will be? How many people will buy crypto? What is average transaction amount? In brief I can tell you, that if you install Trovemat in crowded area with high density of crypto-aware people, ROI could be as low as 4 months. You may also get a lot of traffic from coinmap.org if you list your Trovemat there. |

Your website has two options for each model: NEW and REF.
Now, what is the difference between these two?
Teh price is almost cheaper for REF...
Is it used ones? How heavily used? Does it have the same warranty as NEW ones?
The REF ones are pretty affordable, but is there some catch?
REF is used payment kiosk that has been professionally restored. 1. It is completely repainted, so it looks absolutely new. 2. Some components are new: touch-screen glass, locks, modem, camera. 3. Some components are refurbished (serviced used components), such as bill validator, receipt printer, controller PC. REF has limited seller warranty, but it is expandable for extra cost. NEW ones are completely new and all components are covered by manufacturer warranty. |

Is there anyway for someone to explain this in not so technical terms, the pros and cons of both of these and what they are?
From my understanding:
POW (proof of work) is bitcoin being mined through mining rigs using computers. The first computer that finds the answer distributes it to the network and it is added to the blockchain and the miner gets a reward. So the proof of work is the computer computation.
POS (proof of stake) is bitcoin being mined simply by owning that coin over an arbitrary amount of time. You hold the coin and get more of that coin, because you hold it.
Is this correct?
It is correct. Though incomplete. Stake also means active participation by having a node with your wallet (holding your coins) up and running in stake vote mode. Work is not exactly finding an answer (I would think answer is something that someone already knows). I would say PoW is finding a solution to a problem. A solution nobody knows, and a successful miner occasionally should find it and get a reward for it. Thanks for you question though  |

Is your software open sourced? Just looking for some verification that jetcrypto.com and Trovemat are legitimate. Most of the social is non-existent and nothing on github but php. I'm hesitant in registering with SMS required on the site to do a deep dive for information. If anyone can give me some insight that would be great. Edit: https://trovemat.com seems to be down now. 1. We plan to open source Trovemat software as soon as it will be widespread. So far there is no point in open sourcing it, our clients are welcome to audit the code after signing NDA. 2. Trovemat website is running by JetCrypto, LLC and has been verified by Shopify, plus PayPal, BitPay and GoCoin payment processors. You can't accept Visa/MasterCard/Diners and AMEX without business verification. 3. Social Media are very important to us, but we've decided to focus on engineering and QA at this point, because the project is still under heavy development and new features are being added on a daily basis. 4. Questions
Can the T1 do both buy and sell?
Can I connect to an exchange via API? I dont want to have my own wallets and own crypto, too much fluctuation risks
Will bill checker work with Canadian funds? Or will I hafto buy more parts?

I own a very busy 24-hour coin laundromat in Phoenix, Arizona. Our regular ATM does a massive amount of business each month and I suspect a cryptos ATM would also do well. There are several placed locations nearby that also sell cryptos through their machines. Coinsource is a big competitor but their machines are only company owned. I would like to place a machine in our business but am concerned about money transmitter regulations. Don't want to get shut down. The laundromat is our bread and butter for multiple families.
Can someone help that may be familiar with Arizona laws. I'm willing to pay for good advice, but don't want to locate and hire a lawyer... not sure where to look and it'll probably cost over $1000 for someone's opinion.
