You can send your damaged s3+ control board to Bitmain warranty and they will repair it and send it back to you. It is cheaper then to buy new control board if they had any...
thanks for the reply, but my antminer is no longer on warranty

If you can log into the web control panel but it doens't mine, or able to use anothr control PCB and the miner will start hashing, there is a chance the Control Pcb's firmware may need updated. Please try downloading this and update your firmware (downgrade) to this version. (Please select options NOT to keep the previous setting) https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/antMiner_S320140721.binIf the above doesn't work, please return the S3 control PCB and we will send you a replacement. Hellow Every One i has problems with Bitmain Antminer S3 Controller Board. the Controller board which was damaged due to power serge i bought new controller Board from BITMAIN TECH China They Sent me A new controller Board which i installed in the the miner but i found that controller Board was not compatible with S3 Miner beause the controller Board which was damaged was of S3 and They sent me S3+ Controller Board as the new controller board which was not working for some reason i sent them back and they sent me the other controller board. again the problem was the same but this time i was able to login in to the controller board that they have sent me not the contoroller board is not hashing it shows the following image below now what should i do. i called and emailed they they donot reply properly if any one can help me secondly i m installing same controller board with S3+ miner the board is working fine so need help it will be highly appreciated Thanks Hello, i have also a s3+ faulty board, could you please tell me how/where can I get a new one Thanks in advance

Hello, today an s3 of mine stopped working, when I turn it on the fans immediately start running at full speed, and it does not hash, blades and fan speed don't appear on the miner status tab. Does anyone know what could happen? Thanks in advance you may have to input a dns server ip in manually. Check DNS IP use google to test 8.8.8.8 Or, likewise, input the pools by ip address and if it mines then your dns is bad. looks like your servers are up an alive. I would check the wiring something may not be connected if you have your miner overclocked set it to default and restart. A shot in the dark would be to reflash firmware and hope their was a bug. thanks for the help, done all that and not working, The red light near to the ethernet port is always on, if that helps Do the lights for Ethernet stay on orange and green or are they off. You may have a faulty control board. You can boot up into your miner but your control board is not connecting to your hash board properly meaning it would be the connectors from you hash-board to your control board or the control board itself. The orange and green lights stay on, I have swapped the control board with another one working fine and that's the problem, it is a faulty board. Any suggestions on where i can buy a new one or fix this one? Thanks everyone for the help Take a look at this http://www.data321.net/1w6xe_uqu__nw_2vu19_6w_igjjdbc_D0also this is interesting but i couldn't find if they succeed or not hard to follow and shift through. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671128.new#newpost any success well thanks for the help, first solution did not work and second requires a lot of time, which currently I don't have

I'm getting the following error on the config page but the unit is hashing...
This page contains the following errors: error on line 348 at column 34: EntityRef: expecting ';' Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
Not sure what to make of it.
Get the latest firmware where this error was fixed, or (and I am assuming the error is on the Miner Configuration tab), login via SSH and enter: sed -i 's/Save\&Apply/Save\&Apply/g' /usr/lib/lua/luci/model/cbi/cgminer/cgminer.luaThat should fix it! Hello, I am having this problem now and I have tried to update cgminer but cgminer it is already 4.6.1 so, do you guys know what could be the problem here? EDIT: the problem is on Miner configuration and the software version is antMiner_S320141013.bin

While you're at it, update firmware to 20141219, its a critical update. Download is /s01YJK]here. Ignore him! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The only thing you'd need to update with the Aug firmware is cgminer, not the firmware else you run the risk of bricking your rig, even worse, installing dodgy firmware (of which there are loads for the S3 variants)! Yup, that sounds pretty sensible to me. I have them working so really I wont touch them until I understand better what I am doing.

Ok sorry, this is what I got Firmware Version Tue Aug 26 10:43:10 CST 2014 Kernel Version 3.10.12
By not working I mean that I plugged it, pointed it to my pool, tarted to mine for like 10 seconds and then started to beep. After that I get no hash at all and the page system->miner status shows no information available
Beeping is more commonly associated with network connection failure, but you seem to have covered that. (though I'd make sure DHCP is enabled on the active connection nevertheless) Try manually starting cgminer via the System -> Startup tab. Click on Stop first then click on Start. You were right from the beginning, I had DHCP disabled and checked it wrong, noob problems. You have no idea how grateful I am, really you made my day. I thought I had been scammed. Thank you again

Hello, I aquired a couple of antminers s3+ an one is working fine but the other is not the log says: Can anybody help me please Make sure network is set to DHCP .... also what firmware are you running (you can get this from the intial web UI page when you log in) I am using Load: 0.06 0.10 0.07 | Auto Refresh: on and DHCP is on Go to status - overview for the firmware date ... Can you also be more explicit about the "not working". Is it not hashing at all or is it not hashing well? Thanks for all the answers, now I know better what I can expect about this setup.
I have yet to think about the cooling though

The 3000 rpm Noctua fan is actually pretty noisy, I've got two S5's with it on them. Don't know why but it runs at 2700 rpm on one and 1800 rpm on the other at the same temps. Mine are the 140mm with adapters which move even more air.
I know they are noisy but from what I have seen it makes a noticeable difference with the stock fan, am I right? I TESTED them I would not use them. But I don't know what it is you are looking to do with your gear. How quiet do you want? How much hash do you want? My idea is to get around the 1000-1100 stated GH and being able to leave it in a closed room without hearing it from the outside.

But I don't know how to configure this bridge (you should somehow point it to correct wifi network). You have to configure it first using a pc and the drivers included to set the network and the password I have read somewhere that some power supplies have 4 connectors but 2 of them are binded or something like this and that might lead to an uneaven distribution of power between the two blades of the antminer. I don't really know how can I find that out on the PSUS tech specs so I don't mess up the PSU choice haha. Anyway thak you for the response
