1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This just in: House Passes Cybersecurity Measure CISPA [US] on: April 27, 2012, 07:52:44 AM
People seem to have quickly forgotten the bunch of worthless pissants with minds crippled by superstition, parochialism, and preposterous ideologies they put in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010. The House has been nearly completely dysfunctional since.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_Caucus

It was said in the 1970s that the attention span of the American electorate was approximately equal to the length of a beer commercial. These days that attention span is comparable to that of a parakeet, as seems to be the average IQ.

This is the payoff for forty years of wishful escapism and deliberate dumbing down. Enjoy it, it won't be fixed and by the time it could be it really won't matter any more, they made you world-class losers and you loved it the whole way.

R.I.P. Ron Paul
He's been a brain dead automaton since the 1980s, one day he will stop moving and then the charade will be up Grin

Better yet, R.I.P. Jon/Atlas/MicroCheeseDick, the OP of this thread.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when MTGOX gets shut down ? Are we ready for coincalypse ? on: April 25, 2012, 06:17:32 AM
It is quite obvious that in (maximum) few years some of world's Governments are going to start perceiving Bitcoin as a threat.
...
Government will try to stop Bitcoin, that is only a matter of time. We kind of already know that is going to happen since the beginnings, so why so many people are still using MtGox ?
Bitcoin is no threat to anything other than itself, and that damage is so extensive at this point I doubt it will ever be a successful above ground payment system. It has perhaps been a useful prototype for the payment system(s) that will instantly dwarf it there is actually a market for such things.

There is a bitcoin "underground economy" that is likely to persist amongst aficionados. For that matter I think you can still actually do things with Linden dollars ( Second Life ), but if you think bitcoin isn't fully surrounded and contained, I can only say sorry you got to the party so late.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Evil of religion, and investment into IBB, Islamic Bitcoin Bank on: April 24, 2012, 07:26:01 PM
The Semitic religions are a curse on all humanity. The use of supernaturalism to manipulate and control people is the world's oldest confidence scheme, it relies on the ritual abuse of children at their most impressionable stage by adults who have themselves been made childish for life by these artifacts of the primitive mind.

Subsidize this sickness? Better to cut off its air supply completely.

haters keep hating ;-)

A trend line is a bounding line for the price movement of a security. A support trend line is formed when a securities price decreases and then rebounds at a pivot point that aligns with at least two previous support pivot points. Similarly a resistance trend line is formed when a securities price increases and then rebounds at a pivot point that aligns with at least two previous resistance pivot points.

Even if there were two types, if he did really commit suicide then it will be on our consciences.
Speak for yourself.

In the case of Jon/Atlas/MicroCheeseDick we are observing the process of Evolution In Action, It's A Good Thing. He should be free and unhampered to fullfill his destiny. One need only read his posts to recognize that he is truly a example of Nietzsche's superman, poised over the abyss by his own superiority, someone that mere mortals are fit neither to judge nor affect.

(BTW, if you work for me and post pics of the inside of my business and other employees on your twitter, YOUR FRICKIN FIRED!)

you would 1) end up with no younger employees (the ones willing to work crazy hours who are in touch with the younger market and are often the tech movers)  who do this on a regular basis, 2) depending on the state your in, possibly find yourself the defendant in a lawsuit or three.
Such wishful nonsense, and seasoned with plenty of the narcissism too  Grin

When it comes down to it we are all brothers and sisters on thios big rock, and we need each other.
That's why facebook was created.
Um, no, it was created as a voluntary method of collecting data useful for marketing and law enforcement. A truly mediocre idea that is so representative of a mediocre time.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Feds shutter online narcotics store that used TOR to hide its tracks on: April 24, 2012, 01:37:05 PM
I had been waiting to see something like this for some time, not that I approve. The drug war is a huge failure/boondoggle, period.
However, Bitcoin pretty much stands on a three-legged stool: Contraband trade, money laundering, and speculation. Rut-roh!
People have no imagination anymore. Contraband trade, money laundering, and speculation - oh please! These are chump change when compared to Bitcoins most obvious usefulness. Tax avoidance!
Money laundering is a broad heading that subsumes tax avoidance as you describe it. Good luck with that, I can only take it you have the same accountant Wesley Snipes used Grin

At least no one is pretending bitcoin is a serious contender as an above ground payment system any more  Wink

Imaginary Jon #0185 sez:
...words...words...words...word salad...schizophasia...
Called it. This is the second time he's called wolf as a self-important social experiment. Why you people take him seriously is beyond me. Going back to dreaming of an Atlas-free world. (Or at least Atlas-free forum)
+1

It really is time that the forum management quit enabling Jon's many obvious aliases current and future, it's not good for anyone.
