1  Economy / Lending / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ zazarb's Quick-Loans & Escrow 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ on: December 12, 2018, 03:06:36 AM
Hello, could you potentially provide a loan like this?

Loan Amount: $5k worth of BTC
Reason for Taking out a Loan: betting
Amount to be repaid: 0.5%
Borrow Date: Dec 15th, 2018
Repayment Date: Dec 16th, 2018
Type of Collateral: equivalent or required amount of CND tokens

I have no idea how this works so my apologies if I'm getting something wrong.

Everything ok, I can fulfill your request with following terms:
1. Loan will be not related to fiat , Lending amount will be 1.5BTC
2. I need at least 2% interest
3. Collateral should be at least 800k CND(can be diference depending price at 15th)
4. CND will be secured in my binance account
5. In the event that the value of the collateral falls below 110% of the principle then I would have the right (but not obligation) to sell the collateral at the best available price, as quickly as possible. (After gives a chance add additional collateral).

You want 2% for a 1-2 day loan? Also, 800k CND would be like 144% collateral

Correct, most lender take min 5-10% interest for week or two.
CND very volatile 800k  in recent bottom was only 1.6BTC

Those are for micro loans though. And I guess I'll pass, no point in giving up 44% on top for a 1 day loan with 2% interest. Thanks anyways.

44% on top is only for security purpose, interest we can set at 1% per day, if you repay within 24 hour

I'll get back to you if I'm interested. Thank you.

I can lend, total interest 0.36% (assuming two day time period). 1 Million CND as collateral for a loan of 1.503BTC (based on current exchange rate of $5k, let me know if you have a specific BTC amount you want). You can find my lending thread here. I've given large loans with similar conditions in the past (one example, rest on the lending thread) if it helps reassure you.

Hello, why do you want such a high collateral? 1M CND is almost double of what I'm asking. The other terms sound good though. I only need the money for 1 day TBH. Also, I checked out your thread and there's not that much history there. Any reason why? Thanks.

newbie asks for 5 k loan

we ask for collateral

he disappears

Nothing suspicious here folks

I'm not a newbie man, I've had this account for almost 4 years now. Also, I have collateral but like I said, I'm very worried about trusting just anyone. I might just go with one of the senior lenders on here or something.

Are there any actual companies or reputable sources that I can get a BTC loan from? I might just end up liquidating my CND instead.

That's probably a far better course of action. It only really makes sense to put up alts as collateral if you have a strong belief that the price will rise far higher than the amount of interest you are obligated to pay on a loan.

If there is a doubt on where the price is headed, you are far better off taking your chances and selling rather than locking in a certain loss on the interest payments. That way you can buy back lower when you reacquire your BTC and you don't have to pay anyone any interest.

From what I've seen this year, people usually get wrecked by putting up alts as collateral. They are more than likely to slide downwards than increase. And if they slide down too much you get margin called, and liquidated if you can't top up your collateral to a sufficient level.

I only need the funds for like a day or 2. And I really would rather not liquidate my CND, specially because it's a low supply coin and a market move could take the price up 5-10% no problem. This already happened to me last week when I bet. I ended up getting a push on my bet and the BSV that I liquidated for BTC went up 8% the next day when I got my BTC back from the betting site.

Oh ok. Didn't realize it was such a short term loan. Does the collateral you are holding exceed the amount you are asking for? If so, I can help you out.

We would use a trusted escrow of course.

Yes, I have 1M CND tokens. Who would be the escrow? This sounds very scary lol

Hi guys, I have alts but need BTC to make some bets this weekend.

I can liquidate my alts for BTC but last time I did that, BSV went up like 8% and I ended up getting screwed because the betting site took hours to release my funds, so I was wondering if I can just borrow BTC instead of risk liquidating my alts and potentially losing out because of a market move.

Need $4-5 in BTC. Is this even possible? Realistic? Thanks.

As long as your alts are prices are somewhat stable and listed on any exchange. Usually people ask for 120% collateral in alts for a loan. Your collateral is only liquidated once you definitively fail to repay.

The only thing I am confused about is, are you looking for $4-5 or $4k-$5k ?? That's a big deal as far as typos are concerned lol

Yes, my mistake, $4-5k in BTC. I have CND, which is listed on some big exchanges. Do I have to put up something for the loan?

I see people here talking about getting loans for their accounts? Not sure. Anyways, I would be willing to put up the collateral but I am very nervous about doing so. I don't know how it all would work.

Guys, how do I get this coin? And what do you get for staking it? How many do you need to stake? Also, is it true that if you put your BTC on Binance you will get this coin?

Hey guys, I have an old Eligius url and my password but I can't load the URL. How do I get into my account? I don't remember my address, just password. Any help? Thanks.
No, you don't. Eligius has never had passwords of any kind.

Ok, that's strange because I wrote down a password and url. How come I can't access that URL though? Have things been changed? I don't remember the wallet address I used if I had to have inputted one. It was 3 years ago.

Guys, is it a bad time to buy G/H on Hashnest?

I think SHA 256 cloud mining and home mining s about to reach the end. Diff growth s been so massive lately and it ll probably continue to rise if BTC price continues to increase. So I think people should turn to alternative ways of mining.

To answer your question, unless you plan to trade GHs as well, mining to reach ROI s going to be very hard to achieve.

Thanks for the input guys! Well according to a mining calculator I saw online, it would only take like 100 days to get ROI from S4 or S5. Is this true?

Does anyone bet MMA? I have a fairly extensive knowledge of UFC. I know it's not much, but so far I'm 7-1 on Nitrogen Sports when betting on UFC. The last bet I made was a bad one and I wanted to stay away from it, but because I just wanted to bet, I ended up losing. Usually, even before betting, I can predict the winner with very good accuracy. Secondly, I highly recommend that anyone who does bet, use some type of money management system to prevent big losses from occurring.

I've got a little over 7th of neptunes running.  Several bad cubes laying around.  I haven't been able to figure out where all the excess watts would be coming from either.  I'm sure that's showing chip level, but I run 220v so I don't have a kill-a-watt meter for the wall watts.

I didn't bring my crystal ball.... darnit!

Based on the calculations done on the R.I.P. KnC forum, I would say that's roughly around 1982W at the wall.

I used the same calculations to see if I could run 3 Neptune miners on one 30A, 240V breaker and it came out right around the recommended max 80% load. I went ahead and did it and it worked out fine. So, the numbers can't be too far off.

I also use it for calculating how much of the electric bill the miners account for. Subtracting the miners puts me around what the average usage was pre-mining.

If I ever get a clamp meter, I'll be sure to post how the actual numbers compare. Smiley

I pull around +/- 1900 watt @ all 500 mhz knc defaults with 470 mhz
so running ~1900w at @ 500 is quite good.

Thanks guys. I'm assuming everyone is also running fans with these miners, right? I've got a fan but it uses like 84watts. Any recommendations on high efficiency fans?

Can anyone tell me how much watts I'm using if on the advanced tab it's roughly showing 1460W? Also, anyone running a lot of TH with the Neptune?
