You can edit your Page by adding more information about your ICO after verification and also verify team members.
Can you clarify how I would go about verification so that I can edit the page? I'm curious.

They want to quickly return the money and not wait for many years.
Well, I can't speak to other medicine-related projects, but I believe this one is unique. For one thing, it's not about western medicine or technology, but rather, about traditional plant medicine. And for another, the profit-sharing period for the AyaCoin project is between 1-3 months, not years. I appreciate your input and your perspective though.

I really want your project to be successful because I've been depressed for so long and ... I know how hard it is to break out of this.
Thank you for the kind words of support! Indeed, depression can feel like a deep pit sometimes. I've been there, and I'm happy to say that's a thing of the past. Have you ever looked into plant medicines like Ayahuasca and San Pedro?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] AyaCoin - The Ayahuasca Cryptocurrency Token on: September 26, 2018, 04:56:52 AM
Do you still need a Russian translation? I could help with this. Let me know if interested.
Not at the moment, but if we do, I'll be sure to keep you in mind.

this is quite interesting to follow... I want to keep my eyes on the thread regarding the development of ICO
I'm glad you find the project interesting and will be keeping an eye on it. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have in the meantime. Cheers!

Thank you for the response!
My pleasure!

Your first post is hard to get attention(no image), there is also a limitation to the project because you are a Newbie(you can become a Copper Member).
Aaah! I knew that there was a restriction on images because I have Newbie status here (I'm more of lurker), but I wasn't aware of the Copper Membership option, so I'll definitely be  doing that so that I can at least include a logo ;-) Do you think it makes that much of a difference though?

Also, what is the other limitation you referred to?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] AyaCoin - The Ayahuasca Cryptocurrency Token on: September 24, 2018, 06:00:11 PM
Is it a refund or a buy back? I think you are saying refund money in the ITO period.
It's both, actually, although I'm not sure why anyone would decide to buy during the ITO and then also change their mind during the ITO. The buy-back aspect of it will be after the ITO period so that people don't have to feel locked in. This is especially a factor with our project because we're following SEC guidelines which say that AyaCoin tokens will be considered "restricted securities" for the first 12 months after they're purchased, so there are only very limited circumstances where they would 'allow' the tokens to be sold to anyone but us.

will you still buy at ITO prices if the market price is lower?
Yep, absolutely. The only caveat is that we need to ensure that the other tokenholders still get an adequate amount of profit shares, so buy-backs are limited to no more than 10% of the total value of outstanding tokens per period. So, if a person owned 20% of all outstanding tokens, and they wanted bought out, the idea is that they would get 10% during the next profit-sharing period (1-3 months), and the remaining 10% during the following profit-sharing period.

How does this plant work as a medicine to cure mental illness?
That's a deep question! From my own personal standpoint from working at a plant medicine retreat center and having various friends and aquaintances in the plant medicine community, I can at least tell you that the medicine itself doesn't cure mental illness. Rather, it's a tool that people can use to heal themselves.

That is, it's not a passive experience that you just sit back and let happen in front of you. It takes work and effort in order to uncover and deal with whatever it is that may be troubling you.

It's not just for curing mental struggles either. It can be for deeper self awareness, a spiritual connection, life advice, and other mental struggles that I wouldn't classify as illnesses.

Does this project have a reliable research team for that?
There is a healthy body of research being done on the topic of Ayahuasca, but perhaps more importantly, at least in my mind, is that there are many accounts from people all around the world who personally attest to their own transformations and experiences on YouTube as well as AyaAdvisors (pick any retreat center and start reading the reviews). And after experiencing what I've personally experienced, as well as hearing firsthand accounts of people from many different cultures telling such beautiful and touching stories after their own plant medicine experiences, that's all the research I need.

or have you produced the medicine?
The goal of the project isn't for us to produce the medicine, but rather, to bring people to shamans (plant medicine facilitators) who have been trained in this method of traditional Amazonian healing for thousands of years, if not longer (perhaps prior to recorded history).

It's my strong belief that the more people around the world who are introduced to plant medicines, the better off we all are, and after going through my own transformation, it's my goal to share that with as many people as possible. And my role, as I see it, is to connect the people who are looking for healing, discovery, and transformation with the people who practice this method of healing and are loving, respectful, and safe in their methods.

Is there anything else I can answer for you?

Do you have private investors?

Yes, we do. Though of course the purpose of posting the project here is to present the project to others who might be interested in becoming investors too.

It will be very difficult for you to find followers in English-speaking countries.

Why do you suppose that is?

How are you going to promote your project?

The project has already been promoted to the AyaAdvisors community, as well as our own personal networks, in addition to being here in Bitcoin talk and a couple other irons we have in the fire.

One of the most critical parts of the project is the first round though, as it will help fund a full-scale marketing campaign for Round 2.

Where are you registered?

We are registered in the U.S., and as you may have noticed from the ITO section of the post above, the first round will be following the SEC's Reg D Rule 506(c) and the second round will be a Reg A offering.

The Ayahuasca Cryptocurrency Token

                                           Summary

The goal of Ayacoin is to…

                                                      1) Help people from all walks of life heal from trauma and depression with the use of traditional
plant medicines from the Amazon jungle such as Ayahuasca and San Pedro; and

                                                      2) Help fund the purchase and preservation of large portions of the Amazon rainforest

ROI: Because we will be sharing profits from the already-profitable businesses mentioned below,
in addition to profits from a cryptocurrency investment fund, we feel confident in offering an annual
return of at least 12%, and in all actuality, it will likely be much higher than that.

Value for AyaCoins is also generated in the following 3 ways:

                                                 • Income from an investment property – a retreat center which will be used to organize retreats –
which already operates at a profit

                                                 • Profits from a cryptocurrency investment fund (more details below)

                                                 • Income from our sponsoring company, AyaAdvisors.org, which already operates at a profit as the
largest plant medicine review website of its kind with over 167k users and 1,962 reviews of some
128 different retreat centers around the world

With the value generated, AyaCoin will share any profits generated by the project with AyaCoin holders.
In addition, the coins can also be used or spent in the following ways:

                                                 • Redeemed for Ayahuasca and other plant medicine experiences

                                                 • Redeemed for hotel and spa services at the retreat center to be purchased as part of this project

                                                 • Redeemed for excursions into the rainforest preserve that’s being funded by this project

                                                 • Tax-deductible donations to the rainforest project

                                                 • Donated to fund plant medicine experiences for veterans or others who aren’t able to pay for
such services who appeal for the community’s support via our video platform, AyaTube.org

Or by simply holding an AyaCoin balance, you will receive a portion of all profits generated -
denominated in Ethereum (ETH) - which can be spent, or exchanged for other cryptocurrencies, or even
                                           converted into cash.

Top 7 Reasons to Invest in AyaCoin

                                                                      • Protects the Amazon from deforestation, Ayahuasca’s natural habitat

                                                                      • Helps people with depression, PTSD, and other mental battles

                                                                      • Shares profits from 2 different real-world businesses
(no masternode or staking needed for passive income)

                                                                      • Can be exchanged for real-world products and services on Day 1

                                                                      • Small market cap ($5MM)

                                                                      • Limited supply – no inflation possible

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Wordpress payment gateway for ERC20 token on: November 04, 2017, 03:48:47 AM
Does anyone know of a one-size-fits-all plugin that would provide a payment gateway for a WordPress site to accept ERC20 tokens?

If not, I'm thinking a low-tech solution might go something like this:

   1.   Create several/many ETH addresses
   2.   When user clicks ‘Generate Address’, it chooses one of these addresses as that person’s dedicated payment address
   3.   When user clicks ‘Check receipt of payment’, check to see if the token balance has increased by the given amount
         a. If it has, credit the user’s account and release the dedicated payment address
         b. If not, tell the user about receiving a smaller amount than expected
             i.   If user has not funded the address is 24 hours, release the address.

Thoughts or advice?

For what it's worth, I first starting BTC lending with BTCJam and in the last month or two have transitioned slowly toward BLC.

For whatever reason, BTCJam has gone noticeably downhill in the last several weeks. People seem to be defaulting left and right, so what few 'good' loans are left get snatched up almost immediately. I don't know what changed, but I can definitely say that BLC is a better platform as it stands now for the following reasons:

1) Quality of loans
There's quite simply fewer defaults, at least in my personal experience.

2) Shorter terms
Most loans at BLC are about 30 days, whereas more and more loans on BTCJ are 365 days, and I just don't want to go that far out, especially with the volatility of the cryptocurrency market.

3) The rates
I think this also relates to their superior rating system. I feel as though the suggested (but not mandatory) rates are more closely related to the amount of risk you're taking with any given loan. Plus, the fact that you can offer whatever rate you'd like to a buyer is a big plus since you can adjust up or down depending on what you think is fair, and the buyer can either accept your offer or wait for a better one to come along (at least to my understanding).

4) The social identity verification
I can do my due diligence by perusing someone's Facebook page, for example - a few of which look obviously fake and set off red flags, so I stay away. This simply isn't possible at BTCJ, which makes it a less desirable lending platform.

I will say though that, if someone prefers loans that are tied to the value of USD instead of strictly BTC, regardless of how the value fluctuates throughout the loan, there are generally more of those loans at BTCJ. Although USD loans do exist at BLC, they just aren't very common. I'm okay with this, especially since the loans are better all around, but it's something to consider if you're looking for that kind of security. Again though, since most loans are 30 days, I really doubt this is going to be much of a factor.

Loan notes might be a feature to consider adding to BLC. Sometimes people get freaked out about someone being late, and I like being able to buy them out at an even larger profit (or a larger loss if it doesn't work out).

Oh! I might also add that there's been an influx of crap loans at BLC that mostly seem to be originating from Venezuala and sometimes other South American countries. Apparently, they're getting fake documents to create these accounts, but the pattern I'm seeing so far goes something like this:

1) Rep loan, 7-day term, something small like .01BTC
2) Second loan, usually 7-14-day term, something slightly bigger like .5BTC
3) Third loan, 14-30-day term, usually 1-1.5BTC and usually defaulting

I've been burnt 3 or 4 times by these guys, and have decided to just filter out all loans from Venezuala for this reason. There are some legitimate borrowers from that country, but it just takes too much time to sift through all the crap loans from there to be worth the effort. It'd be nice if BLC could look into how these loans are getting through so that you can potentially resolve the issue.

Also, I thought it was odd that one person commented about this exact thing in the comments of the loans that were suspect, and admins deleted the comment. Sure enough though, the loans defaulted. I don't think this is necessarily shady of the admins, but I don't see why the comment was deleted, especially when it has turned out to be a genuine issue.

Anyway, I can't speak to the efficacy of BTC Pop, as I've never used the platform, but I'll have to give it a go and see if it's any better or worse.

My 3 are on there way... should be here Thursday... will have pics and write up over weekend- or Monday, Tuesday.
Looking forward to it! If you don't mind me asking, which PSU's are you getting for them?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy the most profitable 60Mhs A2 Farm Boy LTC miners, replace old Zesu on: August 25, 2015, 05:28:06 PM
FWIW, my current host is Toomim Brothers, which I'd say is fairly authoritative on the subject, and their opinion was that "Yes, the A2 Terminators are very heavy. The steel they use for the case is much thicker than necessary, and the aluminum heatsinks are also larger than needed. If they had a better design, they could be a quarter the weight and an eighth the size."

Jonathan also elaborated on the 10% power difference:
"There is a lot of variation in how silicon gets doped during the etching and doping processes of making transistors. As there are two types of transistors on a CMOS silicon chip (n-channel and p-channel MOSFETs, depending on whether the dominant charge carrier is negatively or positively charged), there are two separate dimensions for how much doping a chip can have. More doping results in faster chips that have more leakage current. Less doping results in slower chips with low leakage current, but which might need more voltage. The speed of the N and P MOSFETs can be described as a position on a rectangle, and placement in some of the corners results in worse performance or energy usage than others."
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy the most profitable 60Mhs A2 Farm Boy LTC miners, replace old Zesu on: August 25, 2015, 12:49:12 PM
Pls read our above post again. Our plan is to empty our stock on A2 Terminators now and only make Farmboys in the future. Terminators are too heavy and too expensive to support. Everytime we receive a PSU maintainence email, we will scratch our head, J! Better leave PSU outside in the future. Lot of computer store and internet sites to buy them cheap and locally. Used power supply tends to be very cheap and they are easy to obtain used! All in all, it is you call.
Aaah, thanks for clarifying. I'm checking with my miner host to confirm, but I was originally told that my 110MH model was drawing 830W. If the 1050W figure is accurate though (and I assume you'd know this), the numbers would shake out to...

Terminators:
830W => 88MH => 9.43W/MH

Farm Boys:
600W => 60MH => 10W/MH

...which still makes the Terminators more efficient, though barely (and at best, the same). I suppose that's not taking into account the 10% power variance, which I'm hoping you can clarify, actually. Aren't all the ASICs in the same location from board to board? And if not, wouldn't it be smart to figure out what the optimal location is and then just stick with that so that there isn't a 10% variance?

Another factor is the density of the machine. At 4Us, Terminators already weren't very small or dense, but it seems the Farm Boys would be almost half as dense.

Terminators:
110MH/4Us = 27.5MH/U

Farm Boys:
60MH/4Us = 15MH/U

It sounds like this is intentional, but I'm not sure you realize this will very likely make hosting more expensive.

I welcome your feedback.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy the most profitable 60Mhs A2 Farm Boy LTC miners, replace old Zesu on: August 25, 2015, 04:00:44 AM
Hmm - interesting.  So the fans use that much wattage?
Yep - according to the OP, they use 590W each unit.

One would think the noise would be soo much louder?
All the more reason to host em, IMHO ...unless you're only running one or two, maybe.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy the most profitable 60Mhs A2 Farm Boy LTC miners, replace old Zesu on: August 25, 2015, 03:46:44 AM
The thing about the Farm Boys (which is kinda funny to say, considering I'm from Indiana) is that, even if they are 40% lighter and shipping is 40% cheaper due to the power supply not shipping with it, and even if the power supplies are 40% cheaper, which is a big assumption on my part, they still wouldn't be more profitable than the A2 Terminators because they're still less efficient, presumably because there are more fans running relative to the hashing speeds.

In case anyone wants to check my math on that...

Terminators:
830watts => 110 MH => 7.55 w/MH

Farm Boys (set of three):
1,770watts => 180 MH => 9.83 w/MH

So, at least for me, it doesn't make any sense to go with Farm Boys over Terminators, and I'd much rather just have a Terminator that ships without the power supply.

By all means, adjust the margin if you need to, but selling me a less efficient machine makes no sense in the long run.

P.S. It'd be nice if they were all easily rack-mountable ;-)
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustworthy miner colocations/hosts? on: August 25, 2015, 02:19:27 AM
what model of miner do you, spilt them into different rooms would be amazing if it was permanent winter Cheesy
Haha, true! Not to mention the noise.

I'm mining altcoins with A2 Terminators. They've got big asses (4Us each) and aren't easily rack-mountable, but they're pretty efficient as far as Scrypt miners go.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustworthy miner colocations/hosts? on: August 24, 2015, 06:02:45 PM
ive got 3 gaw furies, i have never hosted Smiley, but i dont see why i couldnt, my electricity is around 0.08 us cents per KW, i live in south africa Smiley
Aaah, well with such small power consumption, I don't blame you! My miners consume 830watts each, so at least in the US with 110v electricity, you'd really be putting a strain on regular home wiring unless maybe you had one in each room, or if you had a 30amp outlet installed.
