I think we would have to get a lot of rich people involved. And do some high leverage dumping to get the price moving down.

I'll take it if it's legit.

*there's always a possibility that the attacker tampered with the database. But it's nearly impossible to tell which data was tampered with and which wasn't, so either way they're in pretty hot water. If only database technology was available for financial services where there is the ability to store transactions with auditable history as well as there being an archive log such that recovery to a point in time is possible. If only such a thing existed .... I find myself wanting to +1 90% of the stuff you write.

Ah I thought the ipo was .55 that's why. Surprised because I originally bought in at .63 so there's been a lot of variation in the past couple weeks.
Shortly after the IPO, it appears the majority shareholder of Cognitive tried to dump almost the entire stock @ .55. The bid's still there, without much eaten. Massive askwalls like that create strong downward pressure -- they're either dumb or malicious. Similar thing happened a couple days ago with Gigamining (on a much smaller scale in terms of % of total stock in the askwall). Giant askwall @ 1.5, and others who want to sell need undercut, while potential investors don't see potential movement other than down below the askwall. I'd love to take on more Gigamining @ 1.5, but a 4400 BTC askwall at the same price makes me wonder how long I'll have to wait to be able to sell it at a profit even though I think it's undervalued. With that said - if I had 4.4k BTC, I'd devour that askwall. Same with Cognitive. It was 0.65 and has been lowered to 0.55 in the last few days. This effectively makes Cognitive undervalued, and a great deal for anyone who missed the IPO. I'm going to buy 10btc worth right now. I'm planning on expansion soon, so let's try to take down the wall! Edit: Cognitive has some extra funds just sitting in a wallet. Are there any objections to buying Cognitive shares with that with the Cognitive account thus increasing dividends? Edit: I just threw everything I have at the wall, bringing it down to 2297. I'm waiting on Dwolla's 30 day transfer, I plan to invest.

It's a bit of a shame really, he has a decent voice and camera presence, and he could have put that to work by going off other people's scripts. But instead he tried (and failed hard) to start a business, first vacillating between for-profit/non-profit status, and then presenting a business plan that consisted mostly of fail.
Does this really constitute a decent camera presence? He's trying to sell ads and he can't even make a medium quality video or present himself as a professional. Nothing about that ad wanted to make me give him money.

BitInstant <--- That's what happened. They allowed for people with money to do arbitrage in a simple way, so they keep the market fairly stable.

(BTW, if you work for me and post pics of the inside of my business and other employees on your twitter, YOUR FRICKIN FIRED!)
you would 1) end up with no younger employees (the ones willing to work crazy hours who are in touch with the younger market and are often the tech movers) who do this on a regular basis, 2) depending on the state your in, possibly find yourself the defendant in a lawsuit or three. Such wishful nonsense, and seasoned with plenty of the narcissism too no narcissism. i'm old in relation to those i'm talking about, barely care about facebook at all, and twitter could die a fiery death as far as i'm. you must not be familiar with labor laws in many states. and yeah, if your business involves making big rocks into little rocks, then you don't need to worry about the youth market, but if your in one of the many fields that either depend on young employees, has a large income from the 16-34's, or one that benefits from them, then alienating that segment with overly restrictive policy isn't exactly a good move. not sure where the wishful nonsense your speaking of comes into play. You're kinda wrong on this one. No picture or recording equipment (including smartphone) is a common secured area IT Policy. Also, if you're involved at all in healthcare, HIPPA. It's in the agreements you sign on the 1st day. It's never enforced, It's just there so you can be held against it at any time and fired without compensation.

Good luck man. Must feel killer to see bit-pay.com in the same list as those companies!

If you're looking to make you own boards, I have a contact in hardware manufacturing. He uses Honduras as opposed to Asia. Best morals vs. price in exploiting 3rd worlders.
If someone can list out the components, and process, I could maybe get an estimate? I don't know enough about hardware to ask the right questions.

The seems legit enough for me. I think this means good things for bitcoin. Even if it's publicity from LEO.

Well, with bitcoin's current market cap being what it is, billionaires certainly aren't into it.
Bitcoin isn't a business. The long term implications of this currency affect them in ways some won't like.

Very intrigued, I saw the link in your footer and got curious. I visited your site earlier, but it was vague. I figured I'd read about this soon enough! Good luck with this!

I agree I was excited until I looked at the numbers and thought about the agreement.
1. $4500 is enough to build a fake and run off with the pre-orders. 2. No one knows for sure you can accomplish this. 3. You have no reputation, or testimonials of your past accomplishments. 4. I want to see your face, and more of web presence with an address and phone number 5. You can't start small by selling low cost systems as part of building your rep between now and July?
Well, I hope you are not a fraud as I would love to buy a system.
I know that it doesn't prove anything, but during the past year ttul mentioned several times that they were working on an ASIC. The "Long Con" is an art only the best scammers can pull off. I don't think this is a SCAM, but if it is, it's a good one.

Update
As some have of you have already seen, we've started inviting again. Site updates are coming soon with the connection issues out of the way.
Enjoy,
Are the little guys included? Is there a minimum hashrate required? I want to get my hands on the interface and familiarize myself with the systems, but don't have any serious mining equipment. If so, totally understand. Just asking.

Can we please get this moved to FPGA section ?
Thank you !
Is this really inappropriate for this board? It says Hardware, not GPUs. This isn't necessarily an FPGA-centric discussion and I'm curious to hear people's opinions to OP's question.
