Just wanted to drop in and say I am very impressed by your operation and website, you are doing a fantastic job! This really sets the standard for anyone else out there, and I'm sure I'm not the only person when I say this kind of transparency and competence is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work! I have invested a few shares recently and look forward to doing it again soon.

Thank you!
I'm happy that you are all happy with the way I'm operating Cognitive!

Dividends for this week have been paid and are again higher than the previous week. Also, here's a long exposure shot of the boards! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9542654/btc/IMG_0029.JPG

I did some calc hopefully they are right: You generate about 4.67 BTC per day with 7 gh/s Your electricity costs are about $.13 per BTC or about 3%. (In Los Angeles using old equipment it cost me $4.80 to make a btc)
I had a question if you decide to give this up or go to college in a couple years, rather than selling the equipment, maybe you could find someone you trust to takeover the operation - preferably in Idaho. These miners should be profitable for at least 5 years, unless a new fpga is made. Thus the stock/bond will go on.

Steelhouse, I plan on taking this to college with me. Because the boards don't take up much space at all, that shouldn't be a problem. So there will be about a week of downtime in about 1.5 years And ElectricBrain, no problem!

Also, do you still keep the boards on cardboard, seems it might be a fire hazard if a fan breaks or something.

No I do not. They're all stacked on top of my server, which is not made of cardboard I'm going to do my best to keep the company going as long as possible. I expect it to continue operating for more than five years. Anyway, I'm going to be releasing an expansion plan in the coming weeks!

Today the internet throughout most of Northern Idaho was down because of a cable cut, so the dividends were paid a littler later in the day and mining was cut off for most of the day as well. We're back up and hashing now.

There aren't any being sold below the 0.5 IPO. There are bids below this, but they've never been fulfilled. Perhaps you're confusing Cognitive with another company?

Ah I thought the ipo was .55 that's why. Surprised because I originally bought in at .63 so there's been a lot of variation in the past couple weeks.

Shortly after the IPO, it appears the majority shareholder of Cognitive tried to dump almost the entire stock @ .55. The bid's still there, without much eaten. Massive askwalls like that create strong downward pressure -- they're either dumb or malicious. Similar thing happened a couple days ago with Gigamining (on a much smaller scale in terms of % of total stock in the askwall). Giant askwall @ 1.5, and others who want to sell need undercut, while potential investors don't see potential movement other than down below the askwall. I'd love to take on more Gigamining @ 1.5, but a 4400 BTC askwall at the same price makes me wonder how long I'll have to wait to be able to sell it at a profit even though I think it's undervalued. With that said - if I had 4.4k BTC, I'd devour that askwall. Same with Cognitive.

This effectively makes Cognitive undervalued, and a great deal for anyone who missed the IPO. I'm going to buy 10btc worth right now. I'm planning on expansion soon, so let's try to take down the wall! Edit: Cognitive has some extra funds just sitting in a wallet. Are there any objections to buying Cognitive shares with that with the Cognitive account thus increasing dividends? Edit: I just threw everything I have at the wall, bringing it down to 2297.

What makes you think it is undervalued at 0.55 BTC/share?
I think it's because the evaluated return rate of Cognitive one of the highest in all mining stocks. Mining bonds are a different story, of course.
