1  Economy / Gambling / Re: [VIP Transfer AVAILABLE] MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 28, 2024, 11:34:12 PM
Has anyone experienced being logged out while in-game? is that normal? though, my account appears to still be fine after.. 🤔

No, I haven't experience auto log-out when I played, actually the last time I played, 48 hours ago, I forget to log-off. But when I try to go to the site, I'm still automatically log-in. And so my account is still also fine.

Just weird though to see this kind of activity. Hopefully, you are not in a winning run when suddenly you experience being log-out.  Tongue
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: May 28, 2024, 11:12:10 PM
I hope Wilder backs up those words because if he doesn't display what he's preaching then even if he wins, it wouldn't matter because people would find that performance lackluster and the win undeserving. Didn't know that Chinese boxers are fighting in the ring, I thought it's dominated by Mexicans and Americans, this is my first time seeing a Chinese boxer fighting so I'm a bit surprised. Other than that though, my money's on Wilder on this one.

It is known that Wilder loves to trash talk, and maybe it's one way to motivate himself here because this is very important for him. He need this big win in order to be in the contention maybe against Joshua or Usyk in the future. He used to be a champion here until he face Fury and we all know that he didn't win that fight.

As for the Chinese fighter, he is good, big and has power and even his jab is enough to bring down a HW. I think you might have mistaken as there are only few Mexicans in this division and it was purely dominated by Americans or UK boxers. And so Zhang is an exception as this is the could be the first time we witnessed a Chinese going up in the HW weight class.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mtgox coin is moving from cold storage on: May 28, 2024, 10:46:15 PM
According to @Wublockchain, Mtgox moved $1.14 billion in bitcoins to a new address. Their source is from Arkham explorer but I cannot access this. However, this is the transaction id.

05fb921664c07480f2eae981a96c91bb4cda0a6e9b5d8c10b0fe1e93f8d84f3a

It appears that the trustee is preparing to distribute these coins to the creditors and make them ready for dumping?

Source https://twitter.com/wublockchain/status/1795276021396279693?s=61&t=fx2RmsbaS0qNJTJTdpNu2w

It also appears that there are more transactions received by this new wallet, $5 billion of bitcoins in total!

https://platform.arkhamintelligence.com/explorer/address/1JbezDVd9VsK9o1Ga9UqLydeuEvhKLAPs6

And so we should be happy for the creditors if they are going to get their BTC back after a long time. We all know that this is like a ghost in the closet that we need to get out and finally rest. It's been a long battle for this people and finally they are getting to be paid.

It's just a small correction that we are seeing in the price if someone wanted to speculate, there are no huge dump so far. But regardless if there is, we could understand the frustrations of this creditors to finally sell and take the money. Or who knows, maybe they will continue to hold because we are in a bull run already.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 28, 2024, 10:07:06 PM
I’m not seeing calls to stop this fight from going on and Mike Tyson himself says he’s 100% so it is what it is. He still seems to think he’s going to win, so I hope this was just some strange thing and he really is all good to fight in a couple months. The last thing I want to see is Mike lying on the canvas in pain because of a stomach issue.

As per latest info, Mike looks ok now, maybe he didn't end for some extended period of time that's why he experience a ulcer flare up although it could be painful at times. And I don't see it a like that will be a big threat on his life, so yeah the fight is still a green light, everything could have been settled already by the team behind this fight and preparation in full swing.

His doctor will just have to make sure that he will be 100% in this find. However, he is still the underdog in this fight as most likely his age could be the big factor why the odd makers is putting the young Jake Paul by a slight favorite.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 28, 2024, 06:48:17 PM
(...) as Usyk could still be wearing it until such time that he will have his rematch with Tyson Fury.(...)

Not necessarily. Only if the IBF grants him the exception his team asked for. Otherwise, he's "protected" only until 2nd June. After that, the IBF could demand him to fight the interim belt holder next. The whole idea of the interim championship is that the original champ has to face the interim champ after his return.

Also from what I read, the powerful broker, HE Turki Alalshikh spoke to Flip Hrgovic and could have a verbal agreement that the fight is going to be for the interim belt and maybe wait for the result of the Fury vs Usyk as he could be next in the line.
Have you got a link to that? All I can find is that Alalshikh has announced that the winner of Hrgovic Vs Dubois will face Anthony Joshua in September:
https://talksport.com/sport/1869699/anthony-joshua-next-fight-tyson-fury-dubois-hrgovic/

Which would indicate that either:
1 - no interim belt will be introduced and Usyk will be granted the exception and then the winner of Usyk Vs Fury 2 will face the winner of Hrgovic/Dubois Vs Joshua for the IBF title shot; or
2 - Usyk will be stripped and the winner of Hrgovis Vs Dubois will face Joshua for the IBF belt, and whoever wins then could maybe face the winner of Usyk Vs Fury 2.

That's how I read the situation anyway.

If my memory serves me right, it was from from Twitter though, I will try to look at again if I'm can. Hopefully, Usyk will be granted the exception by the IBF and not stripped of the belt. And it's more on the side of Fury though, as him and Usyk fought for all the major belts, so in the rematch it should be the same and granting Fury a change to win all 4 belts.

There are a lot of scenarios right now with that news of IBF stripping Usyk. But again, we can only wait, let's see what the IBF will decide and then we can all speculate as how the fight of Hrgovic vs Dubois will be treated.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora - Oct on: May 26, 2024, 08:49:57 PM
What's your take in this fight? Spence might be the favorite when the betting line opens.

Based on the odds listed in https://www.oddschecker.com/us/boxing-mma/boxing/sebastian-fundora-v-errol-spence-jr... yes....
Spence is listed at -250, while his opponent is +210. By his popularity, he should be the favorite, and he is moving up so probably he think he is more comfortable at this weight even against a taller guy. However, I would not bet on him despite being the favorite as I find him slow after he got schooled by Crawford, I don't know but I have this feeling that he'll experience his 2nd loss.

Correct, there should be question in Spence because on how Crawford dominated him. And maybe if Fundora can hurt him in this fight, he will see flashes of that fight and so he will be affected mentally. And with that way Fundora won his fight against Tim Tszyu, it was a bloody fight but it shows how tough he is and so Spence will be tested here and we don't know if he still has it.

Most likely winner facing the winner of Madrimov and Crawford fight for another unification at 154 lbs.

Also there is a issue with Spence and his former trainer Derrick James, and so wondering who will train Spence in this fight and that legal battle could be a noise as well in the background for him.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth is energy as everything else is just energy on: May 26, 2024, 08:14:20 PM
People were not interested in the OP's topic because it was long and they stated that they would not read it, I think it was because the article was very messy, but I tried to read the topic quickly. It's a topic that might interest some people. Wealthy comes from energy, it seems logical. I just can't comment on how to have a good energy, maybe that's why I don't have good experience. We can say that energy is completely in harmony with nature. When you experience nature you feel your energy better and when you produce things like art, dance and music as you mentioned. By naturally having a good vibration, you attract positive things into your space. In fact, a lot of wealth depends on these.

Yeah, I do agree, it was very long and maybe he could just break it down. But fortunately, from the title itself, we could have fully grasp what he is trying to say. And it's true, everything around us is energy, specially money. And if we could just focus ourself to be being positive and have a positive mindset or thoughts, then we could attract the same energy in our lives.

This is the basic tenant of manifestation, thoughts becomes things, if we can see it in our mind, then we can hold in our hand. And I think those billionaires and super rich knows this idea from the beginning and they practice it in their lives and stay very positive and have a good vibes.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin reach another new ATH before the bull run begins? on: May 26, 2024, 07:43:43 PM
On March 14, 2024, Bitcoin reached a new ATH of $73k and surpassed the previous ATH of $69k in 2021, a lot of investors were happy that the price reached a new ATH even before the halving event that happened in 20 April 2024 so some long and short term hodlers took profits from their investment when the new ATH was created. Now, some investors who didn't take out profits when the ATH was created are waiting anxiously to see another new ATH this year before the bull run begins so that they can utilize the opportunity.

Not sure if they are anxiously waiting though, I mean they didn't sell when we hit a new all time high of $73,000 because majority of them are looking at the bigger picture. So they might just be sitting and enjoying the market currently as they can continue to buy and HODL, simply strategy but very effective, and then just sell at the right time. There is a speculation that we will see 6 digits most likely next year and this is where we should look to sell.

Is it really necessary to be anxious for a new ATH to be created or just keep hodling and discard whether a new ATH happens or not? And is it also a good practice to be taking out profits from your Bitcoin investment each time a new ATH is achieved?

As I have said, No, just let the market come to you, you don't need to force yourself and make it harder, specially if you keep on thinking on when the new all time high will be reached. The best thing is to is to remain calm and if you still have budget then continue to DCA.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 26, 2024, 07:24:12 PM
I remember now, there is Amir Khan who tested positive with the same ban substance with his fight with Kell Brook and he was given 2 years suspension. Although it is already a moot point since he has retired already, but maybe we can compare as how long the suspension of Ryan Garcia is.

Quote
British boxer Amir Khan has been banned for two years after an anti-doping test revealed the presence of a banned substance following his fight against Kell Brook in February 2022.

The former light-welterweight world champion tested positive for ostarine.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/boxing/65173545

Although Ryan and his legal team is trying to appeal his case, most likely it will remain like that but maybe they can have a lighter sentence.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - May 26 on: May 26, 2024, 02:09:22 AM
Wow just watched the weigh-in live stream Caterrall was getting cheered while Taylor was booed by the audience

Crowd is pro Catterall and I don't know why the hatred on Josh Taylor is. Maybe the fight is held or near Jack's hometown though and so there are a lot of his fans watching this weigh-in and the fight itself.

After what has been said, Catterall already won in this rematch by a huge margin as per judges scorecard. Yes, it was a exciting as any fight will be as they are domestic rivals. And with the 140 lbs pretty much a great division with Teo Lopez, Matias, Pitbull Cruz, Garcia and Haney, it will be interesting to see how Catterall will fare against this American boxers.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 25, 2024, 11:01:41 PM
I would like to ask everyone here who is into sports betting for some advice. I've come to realize that maybe I should start fading myself. I've noticed that my recent gambling journey hasn't been profitable, so I'm thinking maybe I'm missing something. I tried an experiment by just recording my picks and then betting the opposite of my analysis. Surprisingly, this resulted in profitable betting.

Sometimes I also do this kind of strategy, I will go on the opposite on what I thought to be betting and surprisingly, it's also good for me. I don't know if it has something to do with luck, but when I'm on a losing skid on my bets, it's either I will stop, or uses this strategy.

Although, it's not almost very effective and if your first choice hits, it's going to be very hard mentally to see it as you have to blame yourself for going against your initial bet. Nevertheless, this is what gambling is isn't it, we really don't know what the outcome in sports betting, still 50/50, and this what makes it more exciting.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 25, 2024, 10:40:15 PM
Is this even an option though? i.e. if the Saudis paid Hrgovic to say he doesn't want to fight anytime soon and is happy to wait for the outcome of the rematch, wouldn't the IBF be in power to force Usyk to defend the belt against whoever is ranked below Hrgovic? Just to prevent stalling etc.
I think hilariousetc meant a deal with IBF, not with the top contender himself.

So, if what hilariousetc wrote is true and Usyk cannot be stripped while being on medical suspension (until 2nd June), then the Hrgovic Vs Dubois (scheduled for the 1st of June) will definitely not have a freshly vacated IBF belt on the line. At the very best, it could be an interim belt. Correct?

Things are getting pretty confusing...

This is also what I understand, their fight in June 1 could be for the interim belt only and not the regular IBF championship as Usyk could still be wearing it until such time that he will have his rematch with Tyson Fury. And it only make sense that all 4 belts are going to be in the line for the second fight, just to be fair with Fury.

And I'm seeing that someone will pay the IBF money here to allow that to happen.

Also from what I read, the powerful broker, HE Turki Alalshikh spoke to Flip Hrgovic and could have a verbal agreement that the fight is going to be for the interim belt and maybe wait for the result of the Fury vs Usyk as he could be next in the line.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: May 25, 2024, 10:14:25 PM
It's a stack up cards so there's a lot of us boxing fans to look at not just this fight. Obviously the main even is Dmitri Bivol vs Malik Zinad. Although what we wanted is him against Beterbiev. But we will have to wait, Bivol just need to win this and then him and Beterbiev be rescheduled for this year hopefully.

It is a stack-up card and look it's only a week before the big fight could have been a lot more interesting if Beterbiev did not suffered an injury still a blockbuster event with the presence of Dubois and Hrgovic there's still no final announcement if these two are fighting for the IBF title as there will be announcement in the coming days

I haven't check as well, but the latest news is that this is going to be for the interim belt and Usyk has the major belt right now since obviously he had all the belts in the HW. But the IBF said that they are going to strip him of his belt, so we really don't know how things are going to be for this fight if it is interim or the regular belt. And we don't like Usyk to be strip as he will have a rematch with Fury and so we wanted to see all the belts on the line in the second fight to be fair.

The main event alone is a do or die Wilder hints on a retirement but could change his mind if he can knock out Zhang not an easy task but if he can connect those rights he had a chance.

Exactly, a must win for him otherwise, his career might be over and can't regain his status as champion. And if Zhang wins then his cinderella story will continue and could be up for a title fight next.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Work From Home or The "Laptop Class" is Immoral or Not? on: May 25, 2024, 09:40:30 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1h0ejcJrXc

I just watched a video talking about Laptop Class where Elon sees working from home as moral issue. Curious to know what your take on this kind of view because there are actually people who also agree with him.  And some don't of course. It could be different in the Bitcoin community, just a Yes or No poll to answer, and sure thing it will be good to share your opinion on why you chose Yes or say No.

I voted for NO, and I have to disagree with Elon. Yeah, times have changed post-pandemic, and as long as the workers can do their work for the company at home then there is no issues about WFH. It's about doing what you are being paid for, regardless on where you are working. And Elon can't compare it to people who serves coffee or in a physical store because that's their business, they are client facing and so they really need to be upfront everyday.

And remember that this WFH is not a new concept, back then when I work in a company, we have privileges wherein we can do work from home already. And it is perfectly fine. Also there are jobs that you can do at home without interacting. Or if you need someone then send them an email and for sure your job are not going to be affected.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of people in this section do not understand basic gambling concepts. on: May 25, 2024, 09:16:11 PM
I guess gamblers know the basic concept, but what you put is not basic though, IMHO.

And as a gambler, do you really need to go to all of this and make it complicated? I don't think so, the moment they play, they just look to win regardless of what the house edge or expected value is.

So don't blame the gamblers, here, and no matter what kind of explanation we will give to them, they will not or will ignore this concept and just play, have some fun, and take the lost.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - May 26 on: May 23, 2024, 11:33:40 PM

It's obvious that the boxers are not going to admit for such defeat, even Fury in his last fight against Usyk thinks he still won. But it's very different when the fans see that Taylor really lost the first fight and that's why they should have a immediate rematch that didn't happen until Taylor has no belt and it looks like he is way past his prime. I rewatch his fight against Pedraza when he captures the last belt for his unification and his first fight against Catterall and it's totally different version of Josh Taylor. And then after that he losses to Teo Lopez. So let's see if he can turn back the clock and dominate Jack here or Catterall shows us that he should be the winner of the first fight if he beat Taylor this time in a clear fashion.

This is what makes this fight interesting one former champion who will try to prove that he still has it and one guy who many think was robbed of becoming a champion.

It's just unfortunate for Caterrall that in their rematch Taylor is not the champion anymore, but if he can beat Taylor then he could become an immediate challenger for Teofimo Lopez.

Both fighters are desperate for a win and I don't think they will want to leave in the scorecard but if ever it goes the distance the judges better make the right decision, they cannot afford another controversial decision between these two fighters.

On their press conference Jack is standing on his prediction that he will knock out Taylor in round 7 this is big words indeed so let's see.

The pressure is more on Josh Taylor though, this is a must win fight for him if he wanted to stay relevant as there are some boxing fans who says that he is no longer in his prime. So this is a big litmus test for him. For Jack Catterall, not much of a pressure but he needs to show us something that he really beat Josh in the first fight. And I have seen them need to be separated again, not sure what fight both of this boxers are watching. But the security was very quick to have them separated as they can throw a punch and going to be crazy.

So let's see if Jack can prove that he can really knock out Josh Taylor. He is now the favorite so he should live with that.

I haven't pull the trigger yet in this fight, to be honest, but most likely I will make the decision later.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: May 23, 2024, 11:04:50 PM
One thing that has surprised me throughout this challenge is how much it has changed my body. As someone who always worked out and did 20 push-ups along with other workouts I didn’t expect I would see much change when starting this. I’ve now seen my body immediately lose weight when starting, then start bulking up, and the last couple weeks I’ve noticed I’m slimming down again. Makes me want to push it more, but I’m trying hard to focus on all areas of the body. I have to say this has been such a great experience so far. If you’re reading this, start doing push-ups. I promise you won’t regret it.

I do agree, I just did 15x6, 10x1=100. Just running out of breath but I'm still fine and feeling healthy doing this challenge. As I have said previously in this thread, I'm a type 2 diabetic and so I need to do some exercise and resistance training coupled with good diet to not see a flare up or at least maintain my glucose level. And thanks to this thread, it constantly remind me of doing it like every day. I also added chin up and pull up in my daily routine as well.

Makes me want to start eating healthy more regularly, but one step at a time.

You should start, no more starchy or sugary or fast foods, more veggies and proteins and try to minimize your carb intake.

And congrats to those who have accomplished it already and hopefully there are members who will do and follow this challenge. It's not that you have to make 100 in the first day, you can start slow and gradually work your way up.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC staying above $67,000, will it reach all time high? on: May 23, 2024, 10:44:31 PM
I think it peaked at around 71.5k or so, which feels like that is not that bad, I know that people expect to see ATH but that doesn't feel like a small amount neither, we could totally see that being something good. I know that it is going to take a while, but we could totally get it to be better. I am sure that people could see it reach 73k+ levels soon enough.

Yes, it did peaked around that price and I thought that we might be looking for a new all time high. But I guess the pump was about the Bitcoin Pizza day and all of the hype surrounding that event. And now the price goes down again, to $67,000 with a -2% down in the last 24 hours.

The thing about ATH right now is that it is not really that hard to be broken but it also doesn't mean anything if we break it. Like assume we wake up tomorrow and it is 74k, then what? That is not the point, we are on the verge of a big bull run and we want to see 100k even 150k, that is what we want to see, and considering where we are right now, I do not think that would be possible.

It's more on the mindset of investors, definitely if we have a lot of our bags we wanted to see our portfolio goes up because of the huge uptick in the current price. If we wake up tomorrow then there could be some of us who are going to sell because they needed the money and all of that. Of course the end game is a huge 6 digits in the future. But you can't blame whales or even retail investors wanting to see the price goes to a new all time high in the previous days.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Foolhardy bets. on: May 23, 2024, 10:18:30 PM
Internet is full of reassuring stories on big gambling wins like ten/hundred -thousand-dollar, or even more, while in most cases the gamblers are losing because they are either not the experts in on gambling they try or have not relevant skills and make foolhardy bets.

We only see those big winnings from this stories that we hear from the internet. But never did we hear people saying they've lost millions, unless they are recovering addicts already. So yeah, those so called influencers are not for real.

I'm sure everyone here involved into gambling has made such reckless bet  at least once in life.

You're right, every gamblers have been in this kind of situation not once but many times and they keep on repeating the same mistakes.

Did such bet/s change  your gambling styles?

Have you become to be more eager in gambling or , on the contrary it has put a chill on you?

From my years of experience in gambling, no, didn't change at all, I'm still that kind of gamblers wherein our decisions are impaired specially if we are losing huge money in one sitting and we wanted to recover what we have lost already. The feeling is not good and so our mind is foggy and we are all impaired to make the right decisions.
20  Economy / Gambling / Re: More revelations on the challenges of physical casinos on: May 23, 2024, 09:58:40 PM
With the way of how developments and innovations in the gambling sections are fast approaching, gamblers are no longer much interested on using a physical gambling casino again as they have been used to that in the past, people try to blend along to every new achievement on the modern technology in other to influence that into their way of gambling and enjoy as well the best satisfaction from the section.
Yeah have watched casino houses grow in the past specially 80-90s when the booming gambling casino houses really
dominates many business here in my country but things change when 2010 starts as online gambling starts to grow
and now only adults that enjoys casino and those teens and younger people are into Online gambling.

But I have seen quite few land base casinos now going to full online or at least they have the online version of it. So they are now venturing and trying to compete with the online casinos because they know that if they don't evolved and just wait for gamblers to go to their casinos, it might be too late.

I'm saying this because I have received several emails already from land base casinos that I frequented, during the pandemic they have their version but still minimal. But now base on the emails, it's now bigger and again, they are going to take some slice on that big pie, a billion dollar industry.
