1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lightcoin will see 10$ and above 2016 on: April 01, 2016, 07:00:31 PM
Yes, Lightcoin is dead.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Changed my mind: Litecoin is, indeed, DEAD. Sold my last 10,000 LTC. on: March 08, 2016, 11:42:37 PM
I put everything into Ethereum and bought another $7,500 worth of it, also planning on changing my other altcoins (approx worth $184 combined) and my last 8 BTC to Ethereum.
Lol. You were criticizing Ethereum shills and Poloniex as usual, and less than two hours later you tell everyone you've ditched 10,000 Litecoins for ETH. And after reading way too many of your deranged, hysterical comments from the last two years, I strongly suspect you're only a troll.
Litecoin will surpass $48. Mark my words.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To remember WHY Litecoin is a good investment on: March 02, 2016, 01:26:21 PM
I think litecoins only USP was that it was number 2 crypto and it used to be the most liquid out of all the altcoins.  It was "silver to bitcoins gold".  You could tell because the logo they came up with was silver while bitcoin logo was gold.
It was also lucky to be the first altcoin.  Coming out just after bitcoin started getting popular.  It's what started the great shitcoin flood of 2014 PND anyone? Stablecoin??

Now that it is not only less volume than Ethereum but also less market cap it's become just another altcoin out of hundreds. It's value propped up by a few stubborn bagholders.  This coin is surely going the way of the dodo very quickly. As soon as china becomes fully aware of the new reality we live in.

The sensible thing to do for anyone holding litecoin would be to rapidly exchange it for ETH before your capital vanishes overnight.

Actually Tenebrix was the first altcoin.

Litecoin still have a huge userbase, and a good reputation. ETH have quite little userbase, the devs rushed it into service with a barely working infrastructure, it's reputation varying from "ICO scam from banksters" to "Holy Grail of crypto" and it will take time to settle all of these debates. ETH price is also greatly propped up by PDers as we seen for example last week.

BTW the currently low LTC price provides an excellent accumulation possibility for a later pump Smiley. When/if BTC price goes up around the halving I'd be very surprised if we wouldn't see some big LTC pumps as well.
Namecoin came before Tenebrix.

Wow a very old timer here in bitcointalk just appear. right on man.. i do believe this is real info. I've read it somewhere as well and so namecoin is the first altcoin?
Yes Namecoin was the first altcoin. (Gavin Andresen claims the Bitcoin testnet was the first, but I don't think that counts.)

Yes anyone is free to make their own token on the ethereum blockchain. It makes all shitcoins obsolete.
What the hell? so thanks to ethereum all shitcoins are obsolete (whatever you mean by that) because any random person "is free" to create their own worthless token.

Stoat --> big fat troll.

Says the person who starts self moderated threads trying to FUD one of the biggest altcoin exchanges.

Litecoin is the worst thing to ever happen to crypto.  Litecoin caused the flood of copy paste shitcoins that set crypto back by years.  Luckily people are starting to realise the truth about litecoin.
As if there wouldn't be hundreds of shitcoins around today if it weren't for Litecoin. Could you explain exactly how Litecoin delayed anything worthwhile (like CryptoNote) for years?
All the stupid shit Ethereum fans and spammers have said about Litecoin is only a good sign for it.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will see 10$ and above 2016 on: February 25, 2016, 10:24:19 PM
Ethereum = ipo/scam coin that is only traded on shed-exchange Poloniex and Kraken, the 2nd having major withdrawal issues.
It was a "genesis sale" according to Ethereum fans. Not an IPO, lol.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dash ASIC Miner has arrived on: February 22, 2016, 04:30:13 AM
So much for algorithms saying they are asic proof. lol. Anything is possible with time...
Evan Duffield has said X11 was not ASIC-resistant. It was only meant to delay ASIC mining.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is a bitcoin? on: February 12, 2016, 08:04:20 PM
Satoshi defined a bitcoin as a chain of digital signatures, so it would have a size.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: February 10, 2016, 02:24:37 AM
Boolberry is neither dead nor in trouble.

The network difficulties were resolved in a few hours.

Can someone explain what caused the network difficulties?

me !  Smiley
You didn't cause it. You would have to maliciously flood the network with far more small transactions than you had to disrupt it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: February 09, 2016, 01:14:02 AM
Well, reality always strikes back: https://github.com/cryptozoidberg

Nothing comes from nothing.

We all know Boolberry is in trouble. But CZ is still around, and there has been more interest in BBR since the pump, as well as a higher hashrate. Hopefully it lasts. It's too early (and unhelpful) to tell everyone unequivocally that BBR is dead.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: February 07, 2016, 11:46:59 PM
Will CZ come back to work on Boolberry actively or he is still concentrating on the second project?

Nope, never ever. Just look at what he is doing right now. BBR is dead dead dead ...

BBR isn't dead. Have you looked at his work recently?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshis left on exchanges on: February 05, 2016, 03:15:21 AM
I already have a lot of satoshis lost around several bitcoin exchanges. I can't withdraw those satoshis because they don't even worth the fees.
Like me there's thousands of others in the same situation which would make a lot of BTC. So I take it that exchanges keep these satoshis for them.

What do you think? Should exchanges be responsible for the fees and return every satoshi to their owners?

Good question.  If one Satoshi would ever become valuable then people would deeply regret keeping even a few satoshis on an exchange.  There would be no recourse because I am sure there is an agreement made when using the exchanges service that there is a fee. Maybe if exchanges had a pop up, prior to depositing, that there is a withdraw fee because for some you dont know until you have to withdraw.
If one bitcoin is worth $1,000,000 someday, and you have 1,000 satoshis lying around in a bunch of different accounts in multiple exchanges, you will have lost $10.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high can Boolberry rise on the Poloniex Daily Volume Chart? on: February 04, 2016, 08:31:53 PM
BBR is unfrozen and third, behind Dogecoin and ETH.
And 10th by volume on coinmarketcap. So BBR is now one of the top ten cryptocurrencies by volume.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: February 04, 2016, 06:03:29 PM
hey i don't get prize for destroying BBR's net ? Cheesy

If this was all you were talking about, it wouldn't be enough to disrupt the BBR network.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high can Boolberry rise on the Poloniex Daily Volume Chart? on: February 04, 2016, 03:08:16 PM
Too bad Boolberry is not listed on the margin trading list on Poloniex. If it was, I would definitely short it when it's loosing momentum.
BTW, currently there are only 11 more BTC needed to surpass XEM to be the 5th highest market in terms of volume.
It's now fifth.

DASH is in 4th. Can BBR pass them in volume too?
BBR is fourth. It overtook Factom instead of Dash.

(Well now it's frozen.)

BBR is being pumped it seems. It's now in the top 100 on coinmarketcap, with a market cap of $456,000, and an $18,000 volume on Poloniex.
