1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 06, 2019, 01:49:27 AM
A pretty interesting article from Coinswitch on 05 january :

"Ethereum Hard Fork Jan'19 | Know Everything About 3 Upcoming ETH Hard Forks"

https://coinswitch.co/news/ethereum-hard-fork-jan-19-know-everything-about-3-upcoming-eth-hard-forks

It is very good description of the upcoming upgrade. I might accumulate more ETH in the coming days.

I know people that know people on Wall St. and I can assure you none of the exchanges is  building infrastructure for institutional crypto trading. Buying or selling any crypto coins or tokens is against the federal law in the US. This is one big manipulation this is fake news someone probably banks are paying the crypto news sites to spread these lies and then they are shorting big and when prices crash they buy your coins at lower prices. Everyone who is falling for this "institutionals are coming to save the day" is an absolute fool I can't describe it any better. And what the hell happened to decentralization suddenly everybody became from decentralist to centralist, "banks are coming to save the day hooray", give me a break. This is the oldest trick in markets - buy the rumor sell the news and they been robbing you for months!

There was no decentralisation from the beginning. When inexperienced teenagers were using their gaming PCs to obtain 1 ETH / day but now it'd take about a year to get 1 ETH with a good single-GPU PC... it means that the wealth was locked with the few first people who got in early.
Sure, the early investors should be rewarded, but I never called this decentralisation.

I hope that one day, in a couple of years of now, there will be no whales anymore and only then we'll see real decentralisation.

I was an early miner with ETH, and I think I mined about 1 ETH per GPU per day. However those ETHs were long ago sold at probably $10/ETH or so.

I did keep some in case of a large pump and those I've sold at $25/ETH. And I am pretty sure this applies to 99% of all the early miners.

The real Hodl'er of ETH are the ones who bought the ICO at 30 cents a coin. They probably sold most of those ETH's anyways and most likely less than 1% of those investors still have large quantites of ETH.

You see profit, you take it. Basically would be stupid not too.

I also sold most of my ETH at around $1.

Just like Bitcoin, Ethereum had it fair share of booms and busts in the past, even though its much newer.

It had a very succesful launch back in Summer of 2015 but at the end of the year, it broke $1/per ETH.

Then in the Summer of 2016, it reached a high of $15 or so and then due to the DAO hack it kept crashing down to like $7 or so.

Same thing in Summer of 2017, it peaked at $400 and went almost to $100 right before hitting the $1400 ATH in 2018.

If you believe in the technology then just hold your coins, don't buy more or overinvest if you don't think you can deal with the financial losses however.

I believe the technology. I still mine ETH with my GPU, in the mean time, heating my home.

woah the original thread by Vitalik the man himself
almost 2M hits now, and ETH is still has much to go, lets see what the future holds
https://www.altcoinsidekick.com/blog/smart-dust

ETH has big community which is still increasing and in future it will keep growing because this ecosystem is still in early phase. I hope so this will bring more flexibility and freedom for people to start spending with comfort.

I think so. The contunious development is a good proof of what you said.

Coinbase added USDC now!

That will make ETH more popular as USDC is based on ETH ERC20.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy more GPU or go in FPGA ? on: October 15, 2018, 09:28:14 AM
nowadays mainly only miming hardware manufacturers and sellers earn money in crypto mining  sphere.
Better to buy crypto. more chances to earn some % in short terms

When the GPU price is low and your electricity price is low, it is OK to buy the GPU for mining. Otherwise, it is better to buy the coins directly.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: October 03, 2018, 12:26:34 PM
If you bench against Claymore 11.3 look at the hashrate reported by the pool, because on my HD7950 rig i have a lower hashrate on screen (559 JCE against 585 Claymore per card) but a better pool hashrate.

on 2G cards (HD7850, 7870) i'm better, even on screen. i never tested on 730
On my Pitcairn 270X 4Gb Claymore 11.3 gives 550 H/s (manual modded bios with OC), JCE after start gives 500-525 H/s. After 10-15 min JCE gives 555-560 H/s.

Which driver do you use?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZenCash | Horizen - Officially Announces NO ANTI-ASIC FORK - RIP GPU Miners on: September 02, 2018, 08:45:39 AM
oh man, really disappointing to see this. not good for the price as well. will just be a mining for roi coin.. aka constant sell pressure.

Zencash will be controlled by super, secure nodes and ASIC miners.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: August 25, 2018, 02:34:36 PM
That's the fastest on CPU and on some GPU cards like RX550/560.

And the fastest and most stable Vega miner, the fact that you should really start to promote a lot more  Grin

Has anybody tried it on R9 390?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 22, 2018, 10:42:34 AM
It seems that now more attention is focused on ETC, because there have been global changes. ETH team should pay attention to announcements and new directions in the project because it is the engine of development.

I like both, although I don't own any ETC yet. But regading the developpement, ETH github is much more active.
ETC: https://coincheckup.com/coins/ethereum-classic/analysis#github
ETH: https://coincheckup.com/coins/ethereum/analysis#github
Eth have so many icos used it to earn money , however they make eth network stuck and slower.

That is right. But it is improving.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 01, 2018, 04:29:14 AM
Without a doubt, ETH needs changes and improvements. Now many people say that it has competitors, but I think that it is difficult for someone to overtake ETH. And I believe that the price will increase.

That is all underway if you check out the latest interviews with the core developers. Once these things are ready and enfold their potential we will see better times.

So it is the good time to accumulate more?
12  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-19] Billionaire Marc Lasry Sees Bitcoin's Price Reaching $40,000 on: July 22, 2018, 05:50:09 AM
weird price claim. it managed 20 grand based on the usual suspects. so he's saying if it infiltrates every market and attracts every potential buyer it's gonna double from there? that doesn't seem very realistic or ambitious to me. we're probably at 5-10% of market saturation right now and that might be massively overstating it.

I guess he wanted to make a prediction that can come true in the next few years, even regardless of Bitcoin's mass adoption, because $40,000 can be achieved through speculation and some adoption. $40k in 10 years should be ridiculously small of Bitcoin, since emission will be very low and its technology would be hugely improved. He is probably still considering a scenario where Bitcoin gets outlawed and can't get mass adoption and trading volume to sustain big prices.

It is easy for the price to be $40k in 5 years. But it is difficult in 1 year.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 11, 2018, 12:03:36 AM
Ethereum price is being going down like other altcoins. I already started to increase my Ethereum stocks easy by easy. I think overall Ethereum is a better chance of increasing dramatically than other currencies.

It seems it is a good opportunity to accumulate more coins at present.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 20, 2018, 01:01:23 PM
The technology of Ethereum will go further. The side chain technology such as POA will obviously have a bleak prospect. So it is very important to invest in a clear direction.

It is possilbe the price of ETH will be over $1000 in the next year.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 07, 2018, 03:22:06 PM
With second-layer platforms and Vitalik Buterin statement on potential changes of Ethereum transaction speeds, I strongly believe that the coin will hit 0.14 BTC for sure someday this year.
If the news appears about the increase in transaction speed, then the price may rise to 1500-2000 $. EOS is not a competitor to the ethereum in the coming year.

eos got loads of bugs.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: best altcoins to buy for 2018 before price goes to the moon? on: May 23, 2018, 08:28:32 AM
Hi Guys. New to the world of Altcoins
What are some of the factors to look for when deciding which coins to buy before the price goes to the moon?

Look forward to hearing your responses soon
There are many factors but in my opinion the most important are without a doubt the developers, developers of a coin can make or break the project if they are any good then you have a chance to make money but if they are not then the chances to make money are very low.

Do you think bitcoin cash has good developers? It seems it has several development groups.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise to $250,000 by 2022??? on: May 21, 2018, 04:38:06 PM
I think its to much or to high to predict with that value. But i believe bitcoin will keep rising and no one or no others can stop that.  Cheesy
And if bitcoin will rise to $250k, wow we are indeed the luckiest human alive.  Wink

No others can stop bitcoin. But if it does not have good development and slow transaction, the price will not rise fast.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin mining more profitable? on: April 25, 2018, 10:56:51 AM
Hey miners,

I want to know that Which altcoin mining more profitable?
I heard one of my brother now less profitable ETH mining. Reason, ETH price below $1000.
So, I am so curious to know which coin is better for mining now?

Thanks in advance.

Everyone else wants to know that as well. The problem is if we tell you here, everyone else will mine that coin and it won't be as profitable anymore.

If you want to earn more then do your own research and find out what those coins are. No such thing as a free lunch in this world.

i suggest you to mine new altcoins that are coming in june, like HYCON,FUSION,Egretia(not sure if it will be minable)

It is difficult to find a new coin which has good potential and price will rise a lot.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: best altcoins to buy for 2018 before price goes to the moon? on: April 11, 2018, 02:51:22 PM
i think apart form ETH omg, wtc  and ven are good choices.

I agree with ETH and also Bitcoin Cash.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What algorithm is Bitmain secretly mining right now? on: April 08, 2018, 10:33:58 AM
Equihash for sure, thinking 3rd Q announcement.

If that is the case, I think we should change the PoW algorithm.
