2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Info Card created by Students For Liberty on: September 25, 2013, 02:03:00 AM
Students For Liberty is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that accepts Bitcoin donations to support its projects. One of its projects this semester is called the Internet Freedom Tabling Kit. These free kits are being sent out to any student who requests one. The purpose of this kit is to inform students about the importance of defending internet freedom and threats such as NSA surveillance and SOPA/PIPA. In addition to the Bitcoin info cards (seen below), each kit will include a tabling banner, SFL’s Internet Freedom, Liberty 101, and Resource palm cards, stickers, buttons, styluses, additional literature from the Electronic Frontier Foundation and TechFreedom. Over 100 of these kits were shipped out last week to student groups around the world.

Thanks to Rob at print4bitcoin.com for donating the printing of 5000 cards.
Thanks to Barbara and Mark Messer at messerart.com for the graphic design.
Thanks to our generous donors who made this possible.

I'm accepting bids for my account. Keep in mind that buying this account instead of starting fresh is a savings of 60.55 BTC in losses based on 95% EV from level 0-10 (including lvl 10).

Message me in-game (anon) for more details.

Well first off im using a generated visa card with 0 balance and getting the biggest instance I can get. They keep telling me its because ive been flagged by their fraud detection system or some shit. They ask me questions trying to verify my identity. Which I fake it but they don't buy it. lol

Every time I basicly tell them good job running off a customer Ill go somewhere else. rofl

I have been using a vpn and a vps ive been creating accounts on. Its not IP, they are flagging for other stuff.
Wow you really are a complete fucking tool.  You are openly admitting that you have been defrauding them and plan to continue to do so.  Don't be such a fucking jerk and pay them for the resources you are using.
Just FYI the mods of the forum have been notified of this and will be passing your email address and list of your login IP addresses to digital ocean.  I suggest you go hide in a corner somewhere for a while.

some of us are actually paying customers, and then we have assholes who ruin it for the rest of us.
Agreed. I've paid for around $100 in digitalocean services for mining, I think cheating them with these coupon codes is terrible. The coupon codes are to get people interested in their service, not to be abused for high-usage instances. Sad
Agreed. If DigitalOcean is reading this I hope you understand that not all of us miners are cheats and scammers. I've paid $300 to DigitalOcean for their services.

I modified the program with the sunnyking change.
You can use this for your Droplet :

Code:
wget -O primecoind-0.1.0-linux.tar.gz "http://dl101.herosh.com/71663d6fc1cf4a79e6f3c4078502594c/primecoin-0.1.0-linux.tar.gz"
tar -zxvf primecoind-0.1.0-linux.tar.gz
mv primecoin-0.1.0-linux/bin/64/primecoind /usr/local/bin/.

Only Prime.cpp and prime.h are modified, with notepad++
(change can be found here : https://github.com/primecoin/primecoin/commit/338e61568a32e74fa112edf1f3d8eee8d6780ae9)

I don't know if the direct link will go on. Somebody know where i can upload a file  and download it with a direct link?

What is the change?

Edit: Nvm, I found it: https://github.com/primecoin/primecoin/tree/master/src

Instead of typing setgenerate true -1 each time I startup the wallet, where can I change the default conf file to automatically start mining? I assume its a hidden folder/file, and I'm using Ubuntu.

I've been mining XPM on DigitalOcean for the last 16 hours (thanks to Vorksholk from Bitcointalk.org forums for the tip), generated 18 blocks with about 1500 PPS at a cost of $10/day. I've written my own step-by-step guide along with my personal tips on the Primecoin forums: http://www.ppcointalk.org/index.php?topic=336.0 I'm not great at ubuntu or command line so I stuck with the Ubuntu Desktop.

Are you using the large instance? Mind sharing pps per instance? Thanks!

I'm averaging 25-30 PPS per instance.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Mining PrimeCoin using DigitalOcean (VPS) on: July 09, 2013, 08:54:41 PM
So has anyone mined any primecoin yet? My transaction still doesn't show anything but judging by the specs of the vps i'm not surprised.

finally out of newb purgatory here, that was annoying.

Now I can post and ask insightful questions like, "Hey, is there something wrong with the login screen, I can't connect?"

We have significant IT (read hacker) talents among the DT crowd, how about using those talents to track down the DDOS bastard and turn his motherboard into electronic goo?  Or at the very least sign him up for 10,000 COD subscriptions to various fetish magazines.

Di, we need to find a solution for this fast, I'm getting way behind schedule on my Wall-grinding task.  And if I have to do one more productive real-life thing offline cause DT is down and I can't ignore my responsibilities and stay up all night gambling and chasing my losses I'm going to lose it.

Looks like we're experiencing another DDoS attack. I've already called Teppy (Di), there's nothing he can do right now. He's going to be testing new DDoS protection code tomorrow morning. We'll know more then.

I talked to Di again, we're under another DDoS attack. He said he'd look into contracting with a DDoS mitigation service in the morning.
