hey let's buy more of this great coin!!!!!! lol shit. Well, I have seen not many interest into BTS itself but it is one of the most advanced cryptos out there, I have to admit. Perhaps it needs more PR to keep it moving (and gain interest from major investors). The greatest feature of them all is the decentralized exchange and smartcoins pegged to fiat value of commodities like USD. Do you think that maybe someday this coin will sparkle? (and get pumped massively) If you ever wanted a case study of a scam just study BTS. Enjoy.

Big holders of this coin should help. I used to be a big holder, but not anymore. I sold A LOT.
Somebody has bought A LOT. The new big holders should be able to get DEV team for this coin.
I have tried to get soopy over, but he is always missing. I am still around, but not a big holder anymore.
Btw guys please stake your wallets , the observed that the network is on a standstill , I m testing a new client and waiting to see the network stabalize.
Warm Regards, ~SoopY~
So I'm confused. Did you use the hype of Soopy to sell into? Is this a con like the first developer? Is it always the same in crypto where con artists just prey on people?

Ok, have new version, followed directions on establishing .conf file and renaming it appdata folder (in Mac). I copied this " addnode=node1.cloakcoin.com addnode=node2.cloakcoin.com addnode=node3.cloakcoin.com addnode=node4.cloakcoin.com addnode=node5.cloakcoin.com addnode=node6.cloakcoin.com addnode=node7.cloakcoin.com addnode=node8.cloakcoin.com addnode=node9.cloakcoin.com addnode=node10.cloakcoin.com " and used that as the text in the .conf file. This is the only text I have in the .conf file. I deleted peer.dat. Also referred to this post for guidance http://forum.cloakcoin.com/threads/wallet-is-out-of-sync.4/I got an error message "CloakCoin-Qt quit unexpectedly." Not sure where to take it from here or just wait for the new wallet

We are still working behind the scenes Any updates? GREEDYJOHN! When you say you are working behind the scenes, are you helping out with coding and the new wallet?? Also, anyone (Halo) have any idea where the development stands? Any news or proposals on exchange of coins? Hope all are well. Thanks for all your hard work.

Where can I find the Mac download?
|
|
|
I know I downloaded the chain a few weeks ago but didn't know where to unzip it and exactly which files to delete in the applications folder of MAC.
Can anyone elaborate on how to get my wallet up and running?
"/Library/Application Support/Huntercoin" is Mac equivalent to "username\appdata\roaming\Huntercoin" on Windows and ".huntercoin" on Linux. Just start the executable once, it will put small versions of all files it needs in the exact place it wants, then replace with the big ones from chain.huntercoin.org (and remove any write protection). Do you have a link for current MAC download, mine is not working and says error loading blk index... edit: I can't find the link, am I missing something?

you can always use follow nodes:
addnode=node1.cloakcoin.com addnode=node2.cloakcoin.com addnode=node3.cloakcoin.com addnode=node4.cloakcoin.com addnode=node5.cloakcoin.com addnode=node6.cloakcoin.com addnode=node7.cloakcoin.com addnode=node8.cloakcoin.com addnode=node9.cloakcoin.com addnode=node10.cloakcoin.com
PS: dont forget to delete you peers.dat before restarting wallet again
yeah this is what I needed for my CloakCoin wallet, cheers I can't even find the MAC download anywhere. My current version is not working.

Ok great. I'm not sure exactly where to put these. Do I copy and paste them and put them in peers.dat? I deleted all the files in the applications folder except the wallet.dat. Where do I unzip the chain? Sorry for the basic questions, it's difficult for me to understand some of this.

Hi
I have been trying to sync a wallet for Huntercoin The last try I had a go before the new year and it was always stopping responding and hardly getting new blocks.
My latest endevour is with wallet 1.3.1 - and when I set it running last night it was at 102 weeks this afternoon as i type , it is still at 102 weeks but has a few 1000's of blocks added. At this rate it will be 10 weeks or so before it syncs.
Is there a new wallet in the making or should I download one of the others mentioned above. ?
I dont want to lose my recieve addy as I have a fair few coins out there spinning their way to me - though I have never seen one in my wallet yet LOL
around blocks 80k till 1XXK there were at lot of transactions and players on the map (maybe 50,000 hunters).. these blocks are insanely slow to sync.. once you get past these it syncs rather quickly. Although, we are on block 1.23million, so it will still take a long time best thing to do is download the chain from http://chain.huntercoin.orgunzip them into your c:/users/<username>/appdata/roaming/huntercoin folder there is a new wallet in the making - syncing from scratch will still be slow but should be faster, more stable and lighter Hi Snailbrain. Great job on all this, what a cool coin. I'm in the same boat as the indiividual above but I am on a MAC. I know I downloaded the chain a few weeks ago but didn't know where to unzip it and exactly which files to delete in the applications folder of MAC. Can anyone elaborate on how to get my wallet up and running? Thanks in advance

So can we stake on the old wallet now or no? Are all versions functional or which can work together both for Mac and PC as it stands now??
Yes,you can use 1.9.7.25 or 1.9.7.33 for Windows, 1.9.6.0 Mac Thanks Disco edit: I'm running the 1.9.6.0 for Mac. It shows no active connections. Should I give it some time to get the connnections or how can I check the status of the network or my ability to interact with it, 'getpeerinfo?' It's possible I don't have the nodes properly installed?

Just popping in to say I'm still around the forum. What's going on with development?

Only 40 registered peoples on this amazing forum I cant believe it ... I'm waiting until Cloak final wallet before I get more involved. I think others are doing the same. Right now it's a cool forum with nice incentives, but most people only care about this coin's technology and use rather than making friends or posting about random things. Also, I'd imagine some people don't want an additional website to visit, or have IP addresses logged. In other words, don't worry about forum activity. Activity will grow when the community grows, which will happen if the technology is solid and devs deliver. There aren't really any coins for sale so yes the price is very elastic. I'm still hoping I can just make one downloand and it's going to work rather than spending hours figuring out some very basic mistake I've mad unzipping something or other. Cheers. Right about the forum. I find the IP comment the most interesting. edit: I found this link seems good? Thoughts from the tech guys? https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/433mgv/im_erka_koivunen_a_finnish_cybersecurity_expert_i/?ref=search_posts

Sounds like they are negotiable to me and hopefully we will fall on the low end of the fee spectrum.
I don't particularly want to register for an exchange to receive my coins but have no problem contributing to the fund to get relisted as Citrus. That's my stance in general.
Keep me posted and godspeed!
edit: Do you think bittrex is going to be inundated with all the orphaned coins from cryptsy now that withdraws from small coins are available?? I say we start building a fund now so we have it when THEY need it.

Sounds to me like doing a combination of the three might work.
Escrow >> Certain holders may not want to go back to the exchange and therefore escrow and or website could be good method (who would control the website functions)?
Exchanges >> Burn the coins they have for new ones and credit their client account (do balances at exchanges collect POS?)? Ones that work with us for cheaper fees great and if we want to get relisted another place we have to pay, seems to depend on them. I understand their may be fees out of Bittrex.
Just floating some thoughts here, thank you for your responses.
Maybe a good idea to set a target time for exchanging via escrow, such as X time on X day with a red herring type of announcement? Time limit makes sense on most fronts but it would be sad if somebody lost their balance strictly based on a time constraint. Most people holding OC would likely be tech type and therefore be informed. Lost coins that haven't staked at all might be ruled to be burned after first round of burning coins?
Just thinking here everyone, stay warm and thanks for all the hard work.
I don't know the ETH contract method.
