Greetings

I apologize that I haven't been around to see this through, but I was hospitalized 4 weeks ago with a life threatening illness. I am better now, but the road to recovery will be tough.

I've not been directly affiliated with Coinroll for a few months now. There was a misunderstanding and lack of communication among the operators of Coinroll which is my fault.

I was under the impression that since the list had already been posted everyone, including John K, would've been able to calculate the winners once everything was out in the open so I was no longer needed. It seems that I never gave John K that instruction so sorry about that.

Winners of the Raffle will be paid. The official list will be posted tomorrow and sent to John K once winners of 5 & 50 BTC verify their address by PM.

Regarding "cheaters":
All accounts had at least 100 posts when the final list was posted. There was no condition for multiple accounts in the original post. Who gets to decide which ones are duplicate accounts anyway? That would require cooperation from Theymos, which would be close to impossible and it's the reason it wasn't directly stated in the original post. It would also be easily defeated by using TOR for example. There is no reliable way to check for duplicate accounts.

In retrospect, the required post count should have been much higher and only old members should have been able to participate. BTC price was also 10 times lower back then. Alas, you cannot change the past nor predict the future.

The raffle will go on as planned.

We have had technical difficulties as well as a few key people missing.

The final list will be posted on Sunday. Apologies for the delay.

Would it be possible for you guys to allow "0" bets? Either that or allowing single satoshi betting? Ideally both would be possible.

It would probably drive more traffic (money) to the site as well. These features are available at a few other dice sites.

Any way this would be possible over at Coinroll??

1 satoshi has been possible for a while. If it still doesn't allow you try Ctrl + F5.

False, this depends on the hashing function used.

SHA3 (and a few others) aren't vulnerable to length extension attacks but we're talking about the SHA2 family here.
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: November 13, 2013, 06:01:27 PM
HMAC(A, B) is just a more secure way of hashing compared to throwing a concatenated A + B into a hash. HMACs are used by all dice websites.

If you make 100 accounts, then a few of them might be unlucky. Some of them will be lucky as well, but many wins in a row aren't beneficial in martingale. Of course rolls have no memory, so an unlucky streak can happen to a player playing for the first time.

Every roll ever made is available on the website as a database dump for statistical analysis, something that only a handful of dice websites provide.

All accounts up to this point have been credited!

Old accounts got 0.1 BTC, new accounts got 0.05 BTC.

seems like the bonus is over Sad

It is now. Too many people abused it with alts.

Accounts mentioned previously have been credited.

Some of them didn't exist though. (They are created when you send BTC - any amount)
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: November 09, 2013, 01:47:11 PM
how about to change some parameters and not force people to loose more money with dice roles?  Wink

Noone is forcing them to play. They can withdraw the bonus if they so choose.

Which parameters? The minimum bet will be reduced to 1 satoshi.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: November 09, 2013, 11:32:38 AM
Holy crap, that is an amazingly generous bonus! My ID is :
c89a-163a-3912

I tried to play yesterday but it didn't work. Also, did it just make this account or can I login somewhere? Because it doesn't show any bets but I have an account for a few months already that has a few hundred bets on it.

EDIT: It seems this is indeed a new account as I deleted my cookies. Damn. I never knew it was associated with that.

It's ok, you can send a small amount of BTC to create it. Even 1 satoshi will do.

Scat are you doing anything about this DDOS, or just waiting it out?

ISP support is a bit slow at this time of the day.

That is a lot of Bitcoin.  How many people are participating?

257 as of now. I suspect a lot of people will drop out since 4 months is a long time.

Only a few hours left to participate!

Hope? I KNOW I'll win  Grin

Hey Scat can we have the qualifier list after this deadline?

Final list will be posted on the 20th of December, as people might remove their signature or fail to meet the 100 post requirement.
