Not only would it make it easier on buyers, they would have that much more exposure.  Win win.

compile on linux as usual.. rename smallchange to dragoncoind

Create folder .DragonCoin
Create config .DragonCoin/DragonCoin.conf

Add

daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=someuser
rpcpassword=Somepass
rpcport=5001
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.*.*

So now it's 5001? From 9995, I saw 9997 then 9995.
Which port is it?

You can set it to any port you want in the .conf file.

Oh my dear lord. That OP.

If this actually gains any traction it's evidence I could take a shit, call it a genesis block, and make a million dollars.

hello , friends
i don't want to make money from this
i only have 2730DNC
for me , it's a Interest

How do you only have 2730 DNC when you say you only pre-mined the first 80 blocks?

You should have at least 7600 DNC.

Whitelist request.

Genuine user just recently getting into e-currencies.  Awesome forum and members - and I can certainly appreciate that this is largely in part to your newbie acceptance process.

Hope to learn much more and contribute as well.

Cheers.

Have you tried buying bitcoins with ukash vouchers?

I can't buy ukash vouchers in Malta.

I guess I should write an email to Second Life support giving them a heads up on what I'm doing.  Either way, hopefully VirWox will work out and I will be able to skip that step in the future.  Just have to wait out the 30 days now.

Off topic, I had heard about Second Life a long time ago.  Actually saw it for the first time yesterday.  I can't believe people "play" it.  I mean, I used to be a big fan of World of Warcraft, but Second Life is too much like life with bad graphics.  Weird.

Who locked your account? VirWoX or Second Life?

VirWox did.  I'm still waiting for a response from them.  Not sure what their normal response time is.

I wouldn't do that...

Why not?

I'm still waiting for them to respond.  VirWox is reputable from what I've read so I'm hoping they will at least return the funds.  I don't think I did anything out of the norm though so can't imagine what triggered them to lock my account.  I'm living in Malta at the moment and there aren't a lot of options here for purchasing BTCs.

As for the SLLs I have on my avatar, I'm now reading that there are people who trade within Second Life and can transfer it back to my Paypal - at about a 20-30% loss though it seems.

Either way, it seems I've run out of options here for purchasing BTCs.  Will have to wait until I travel abroad to buy them.  Actually I could probably use Western Union but that gets really expensive.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Has anyone had any success with VirWox or exchanging L$? on: December 18, 2012, 11:36:28 AM
I had read about exchanges like VirWox and The Rock offering to convert my L$ to Bitcoins so I thought I would try it.  I tried with a smaller amount initially (15,000 L$) but then I found out Second Life apparently doesn't let you move L$ out unless you have been active for at least 30 days.  Even so, now I'm reading that 99% of people in Second Life don't pass their Risk API which means exchanges won't take them from you.  So now I'm stuck with those.

Then I found that you don't actually need to even transfer the L$ into Second Life as VirWox would let you purchase them outside of it.  So I went ahead with that as well and they have locked my account.

I'm not too fussed about it as they are fairly small amounts but I don't think I'll ever touch another L$.  It seems I'm stuck with them now.  Has anyone used this method?  What was your experience?  Any suggestions?
