1  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 3 separete Transactions from Ledger Nano S - all stuck (high fees!!) on: December 11, 2017, 05:06:21 PM
Yepp... just a little update in case anybody is curious:

You were right..

Allthough it saddens my that this system is so strange. I really had to wait until the first transaction confirmed (which took approx. 3 days) until the following transactions were able to process. Literaly making most of my money unavailable for 3 days because there was no way to either speed them up or cancel them. Of course it was me beeing "greedy" and trying to spend 5$ / transaction instead of 15$ for the first one.. but still..

Kind of akward and unconfortable. I knew the money is not gonna be "gone" or "disapeared" and was not particulary worried about it that much but i can very well imagine the panic for an "average" user who suddenly (because he doesnt know better) ends up with his whole balance unspendable for multiple days... i think there is a lot of improvement in this area

I have just seen that a withdrawal of  that i've done prior to sending those transactions from bitfinex is showing as "pending" without a transaction ID

But it hit my wallet.. no idea if that has anything to do with it?
4  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 3 separete Transactions from Ledger Nano S - all stuck (high fees!!) on: December 07, 2017, 12:18:28 PM
I understand that there is a backlog but how can it not confirm with those high fees? Arent the high fee transactions supposed to be confirmed first?

I tried that website yesterday to no avail.

On some transaction website i read that one of the inputs is unconfirmed. But i cant find what they mean. Within the ledger wallets all previous inputs show as confirmed in the wallet?

Any other ideas?

Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with some transactions.

First i have made a fairly cheap transactions by manually setting the fee to 50 sat per byte:

d1f1f90fdcd91553779b86bec922ff458f78f4d313c5781b5999a322989fe0b9

A few hours later I have made a "regular" transaction by selecting the "high fee" in ledger:

4ace258f226b032087105a6b6204be6ee2886981fb0899e5e9be6b97b1d7f712

Another few hours later I have made a manual very high fee of 250 sat per byte:

d4c8a051c606ff53eb0bd7f904fae1dcb2d6aaf885aa5e6d4ecc1ee20b82523a

All 3 transactions are showing up on blockchain.info but with 0 confirmations. The first one since 24 hours, the last high fee one since 12 hours.

What could be the issue? I've never had something like this before.

I have tried transaction accelerators etc. to no avail

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Would you be able to speed up this transaction?

I've paid 250 sat / byte which is quite high, not sure why its taking hours at 0 confirmations

If you look at that per capita, China produces half the amount of CO2 the US does per capita, and India one eighth. That should give some measure of pollution, but should be corrected for the much more high tech way that the US produces.

Don't underestimate the environmental cost of the American way of living.

Eh... I'll take my chances in the US.

Do you know what means "per capita"?

Ok.. with you saying that the owners would be responsible for the payout your version makes sense.

Still .. are you sure its actually that way?

Because that could mean that in a bad scenario (some whale *loses a lot on the site ) they would be liable to huge payouts because of the leverage?

Either that or they are setting the max-bet limit really low so that swings above some few % are mathematicaly extremly unlikely.

edit: *i meant lose instead of wins
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST, play & invest, 2BTC JACKPOT on: May 14, 2017, 02:29:00 PM

Now let's flip the logic, same scenario: 5 players invest 1 BTC each at 10x, and some lucky player comes along and loses 0.50 BTC, again 10% of the current bankroll (before adding the profit).  The actual site bankroll now looks to be 5.5 BTC, grown by 10%, and each of the original investors' investments has grown proportionally, including the 10x leverage.  So normally their 1 BTC would have grown to be 1.1 BTC, but because they invested at 10x, their investment is now 2 BTC instead of 1 BTC.

So... 5 players invest 1 BTC.. that makes a total of 5 BTC ..

Now you have somebody who looses 0.5 BTC.. thus making the bankroll 5.5 BTC

Now you're saying those investors are showing a balance of 2 BTC .. all of them withdraw their funds.... how do you get 10 BTC when there is only 5.5 available ??

Thanks for your reply.

I have allready gone trough the FAQ and I still believe that my statement above is right and yours is wrong.

Consider this simple scenario:

EVERYONE invests with 10x leverage.

So if 10% of the site bankroll are lost EVERYONE should loose their whole investment and the bankroll should be 0 by your logic. Yet it will be at 90% because only 10% are lost.. right ?

So effectively it means that if everyone invests with the same leverage then this removes the leverage effect completely.

see what i mean.. ?

Now.. looking at the numbers.. not everyone has invested with 10x leverage but actually 95% of the investors have !

edit: take a look at another extreme example:

Again everyone has invested with 10x leverage. Basicly its impossible for the investors to go bust, but by your logic a 10% movement would send all the investors bust. Yet this cannot happen because ALL the money is leveraged meaning there is 10x more bankroll available...

Hi,

A quick question regarding the investment leverage.

Do I understand it correctly that the 10x leverage isnt actually a "real" 10x leverage and you wont loose your investment if the bankroll drops 10%.

This would only be the case if most investments were made without leverage and I would be the only one with 10x leverage.

But due to the fact that 95% of the investments are with 10x leverage this makes it effectively only about 1.05x leverage.

Do I understand that correctly?

If you don`t want to maintain thread further that is your free will. You will still receive the biggest bounty from all other campaigns.

No guys , sorry , this is my full time jobs as i am disable person! When i do professional translating and keep up to date till the ICO , that means for me 2 month, two month i have to keep up to date my mind and follow you on  your thread!  undestannd your technical details and explain to other people! Really dont care about cryptocoin, for me waves or lisk or eth or decred are all the same, i have to work  to eat to pay bills tu survive, i am not investing on cryptocurrency, i am doing my full job professionally!! so what i got paid for two month is 1k waves....do you think guys this is right?

dont missundesrtood me, i am sure your coin one day will be 300 dollars each one day, but i am not working to invest in crypto and for long project , i do work for eat!

You are lucky that actually get something.

Judging from your english skills i am seriously in doubt how you could translate anything. You cant even properly form a sentence. How did you even get hired for this job? If it were my decision after your statement you would get nothing from me. Luckily for you it is not up to me to decide.

You have zero interest in crypto currency and this project, why do you even do this, to try and hustle some quick "free cash"?

Your blubbering about disabled blabla... go to a hospital if you are disabled but stop bothering the developers of this project who actually are doing something real.

People like you are obstructing the project and should not even take part in it. I seriously suggest that you go and find another job, this will neither make you happy; nor the people you are "working for".

Best Regards

They are obviously IOU's (google if you dont know what it is)

Why would yobit risk their reputation (and therefore their whole revenue = profits) by not paying out?

It worked fine with all the previous IOU's that could be bought on yobit, dont understand why suddenly it should be different.

If the waves team likes it or not.. well that is a completely different question.

But yobit is free to do their own thing and as long as they dont scam anybody.. who cares right?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report of Waves token IOU market activity at yobit on: June 04, 2016, 02:13:56 PM
Since half an hour somebody is selling miniscule amounts .. every few seconds just to make the screen flash lol

Whats the reason, trying to bring the price down to accumulate?

I imagine if somebody really wants to sell he does it either all at once or slowly and not like this
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 04, 2016, 02:06:37 PM
Hello guys,

I wanted to ask you about your opinion what will happen with the yobit price before launch.

here you can check the current status:
https://yobit.net/en/trade/WAVES/BTC

Do you think it will be the same pump like it was before the launch of lisk ? And with the obvious dump post-launch obviously...
Here's a picture of what i mean:

I know many of you dont like yobit, but in the end there are one of the bigger exchanges and while their behavior might be not very "gentleman style" they still will not go down or not pay. Even if they wont get a full node from waves team, they will be able to process the withdrawals manually (they have confirmed that)

Anyway whats your opinion on what will happen with the price in the window from now <--> launch ?

Kind Regards

In case you didnt understand i was meaning this
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report of Waves token IOU market activity at yobit on: June 04, 2016, 09:06:19 AM
Do you think they price will skyrocket just like in lisk just before the launch on 14.th ? (and  drop afterwards, but i am referring to the rocket first Cheesy)
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Placing Buy and Sell orders at same time on: May 09, 2016, 11:41:44 PM
Well obviously you would need to buy it first. But that should not be an issue.

What am I missing?

This is not gonna work on big exchanges with very small spreads. But just look at yobit or even some shitcoins at polo/bittrex that have huge spreads...

Am I seeing something wrong or is it just not profitable enough?
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Placing Buy and Sell orders at same time on: May 09, 2016, 10:15:14 PM
Because you would be risking nothing and markets don't work this way.  And everyone would be doing it and then there would be no spreads anymore.
so why isnt everybodt doing it?
