1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Announcement: Tradehill is back on: May 24, 2013, 06:07:34 AM
... And more generally, a notice to all the scumbags circling BTC : I don't care that you're poor, I don't care if you're desperate, I don't care if you're 'Ndrangheta or the Gambinos or the Bonanos or the Russians or whoever the fuck else. Pack it and move. This is your only warning, and quite frankly I have no ideea why warnings are even necessary. Bitcoin is not for idiots. That means you.

That's the whole story. Idiots and scammers can no longer make it in BTC. The days when they had the run of the town are over, and are never coming back. Professionalism, competence, obedience and discipline are the values of Bitcoin in 2013. We're done dicking around with this toy based "on maffs" where "like, man, everything's possible right?"

Time to get to work.

Would you mind expanding on "obedience"? In the context of a decentralized currency, it seems a tad dramatic.

While I'm here, allow me to save you some time by preemptively accepting your elitism:

Funny thing is this can probably handle more trades per second than Gox  Grin

LOL. No, but seriously. ~37 TPS: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1cc72b/the_maximum_number_of_trades_mt_gox_can_handle/
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Announce] 6-Week Alt Announcement on: May 03, 2013, 07:48:12 AM

Respect for doing this the right way.

Ditto. Feels way less scammy all around already.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC / CNC Exchange: Google Docs #2 on: May 03, 2013, 07:44:34 AM
I would like to buy ~5k CNC @ 1k/20.

If you're a scammer, please look elsewhere. I'm only interested in making a deal through escrow via https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=193973.0. (I'll pay both fees.)

5  Economy / Services / Re: High Def Design | Prices starting at 2BTC ! on: May 03, 2013, 06:59:36 AM
It's not likely anyone will see this, but please be advised: This user, penetration, is a verified scammer.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] buying FC feathercoins hit me up with your offers on: May 02, 2013, 11:17:45 PM
I'm also highly interested.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] 5 BitBars for BTC, multiple slots of 5 BitBars available on: May 02, 2013, 10:27:03 PM

Are you taking the bid from someone with 13 posts seriously? Could be it is your alt account maybe, a friend or something along those lines?

For the record, I'm probably more skeptical than you at this point, having been scammed out of an unmentionable amount of LTC for FTC -- because of my "newness", I've ended up sending first.

Especially since this auction is public, and OP appears to be pretty active here, I'd assume it relies on the winning bid accepting and sending first anyways.

OP: If you make a public list for BTB scams, please make it as visible as possible. See my note here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=182424.msg2009544#msg2009544

1.0 BTC.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FTC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 41 LTC | Ask 48 LTC] on: May 02, 2013, 09:58:38 PM

It's on right side of the googledoc sheet.

I also did a thread with the same list but no one replied to it and it went far down in the website ranking.
Every one who got scammed should report to moderators of the forum and make scammer tagged. Our list is just an extra, it may help, but it's not updated in real time.

I see he's been added to the CNC doc, but not the FTC doc.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FTC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 41 LTC | Ask 48 LTC] on: May 02, 2013, 09:30:09 PM
Just added 'penetration' to our scammers list

Ty, just did the same.

Where is this list? The google doc does not represent all of the claimed scams. Does it include anything but a username? It really needs more visibility.

I'm now 1 for 5 for legitimate trades, and the worst part is that I guarantee all of these scumbags are still active on this forum, most likely as prominent users. They're taking advantage of the legacy software this forum is running by exploiting the disparity of information.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FTC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 41 LTC | Ask 48 LTC] on: May 02, 2013, 07:11:29 PM
SO is the going rate still 41 LTC per 1000 FTC?  Wink

Put me down for a buy order for 20 000

Same here. I need to somehow make up for losses. 3 out of 4 trades I've dealt with have been scams. I'm going to vomit.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 20 LTC | Ask 15 LTC] on: April 27, 2013, 04:41:56 AM
please add an successful trade with wax. he bought 2kFC for 17LTC/1kFC  B-)

Please remove this entry. I sent LTC but have not received FC. I have documentation.

Still trying to give Timmy99 the benefit of the doubt, and not call him out as a scam, as he may be in a different time zone. Worth noting however, it has now been more than 12 hours.

This is a bitcoin forum.

And this is why I've been watching this forum for over a year, but have resisted posting until recently.

Alternative currencies clearly draw new members. The newbie forum seems like a reasonable place to put this.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 16 LTC | Ask 15 LTC] on: April 27, 2013, 03:56:31 AM
My transaction with Cyberdyne (2k FC) went very well. A little confusion on my end, but he was solid.

When do they allow in Ripple Giveaway discussion?

You would have needed to be a member prior to "February 19, 2013, 18:45 UTC".

Here's the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145506

Why are you selling? Are they not profitable? I have just bought two BTC related domains lately.

Interestingly, I had recently just begun working on a BTC-related domain -- I didn't even have a site up yet -- when I got, and ultimately settled on a surprisingly sizable offer. What was interesting was that I hadn't pinned it as one of my most potentially profitable. Swimming with sharks.

Greetings fellow bitcoiners!

I've been active as a trader for quite a while, on Vircurex (glad they're back, afterall), BTC-e, and the usual BTC/USD-only exchanges.

Pleasure to meet you.

I should also add that I've been lurking this forum for a long time, and I think it's about time I starting posting.

I am new here I suppose, but I've been lurking quite a while. I am quite active on reddit, and am a daily trader on BTC-e.

I would be interested if there were a method of trust, like an escrow, besides simply sending first.
