So let me try to clarify our current stance or views on things, As of right now we have looked into the legalities of online gambling with virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and what some of the bigger Bitcoin casinos use. Namely what we've looked into is offshore registration for the company mainly dealing with Jewels in Costa Rica or other similar countries typically used for these sort of operations. This seems to be a popular choice as it's reasonably priced and obtaining a gambling license there doesn't seem as difficult as in the North America or Europe. The restrictions we need to impose with a Costa Rican gambling license isn't that bad either. It's worth noting, since we're not gambling with Bitcoin or fiat it's less likely a legal authority will pursue us but we want all of our bases covered.On the note of smart contracts, I personally have looked into Etherum but have not had much chance to experiment with or learn Solidity although it seems like a fairly straight forward language. While at this time I'm not 100% sure about everything gambling related being able to fit under a smart contracts it is an idea we're open to. I'm aware of the fact that we can utilize an Etherum token stored in a smart contract and effectively do an asset swap when we're ready to pursue the smart contract route. I'd like to stress though with the recent incident of the DAO it's clear that this route is something that should not be rushed so we see this more as an end-game idea. Definitely we will need to consult with parties who are more familiar with Solidity and smart contract development to ensure we don't unleash another disaster like that. Dev Update Hey all! I have neglected to address this already, so I figured I would address it prior to anyone getting the wrong ideas about what we are doing. Rise Vision Foundation is working with my company, Don’t Panic Consulting, L.L.C. to provide a long-term, stable future for the Rise Platform. Most cryptocurrencies fade away after a year or so. Their initial funding runs out, and they stop development, they stop communicating, and they stop being useful to the community as a whole. This is something we wanted to avoid with Rise. In order to do that, we raised money during the ICO to initiate a ramp up in development. This money is being spent primarily in development, some of which being paid to Don’t Panic Consulting for development services. I, through Don’t Panic, have pledged to support Rise Vision Foundation with at least 2 full time developers until the Roadmap is completed, after which, Don’t Panic will allocate development resources as necessary to continue supporting the Rise Vision Platform. In addition to this, Don’t Panic is using the Rise platform, and the Rise Blockchain to design and build other advanced systems, specifically, legislative and municipal management systems. I believe these kinds of applications, along with large value transfers, is where the real strength of the blockchain lies. Don’t Panic is working on sponsoring a TEDx event in the Lewiston / Auburn, Maine area, to discuss blockchain and related applications, and bring a few more eyes to Rise. My Blockchain talk will be posted to the TEDx Youtube channels, as required by TED, and will be viewable around the world after the conference. Don’t Panic, and myself, believe fully in the Rise Vision Foundation, and Rise Platform, and we are going to do our best to make it succeed. This does not mean that things will be done quickly, or that things will be pushed out due to community pressure. Things will be released when they are ready, and when they have been properly tested. It is too early to talk about exchanges but we want to make it clear that Opair will not have any exclusivity and our goal is to work with Bittrex, BTC38 and Poloniex to make our platform have a simultaneous release. Last time I checked WAVES has had delay after delay after delay. Full node was supposed to be released shortly after distribution. They're still waiting over there without a date. Lisk hasn't done to much either other than release updates for a 'broken' chain. Imo you can sell now and take your well deserved profit from investing or you can hold and risk it for the astronomical returns. Have a good day now.
