Looks like Polo made their move. No Access at all with only 14 days to comply, so they are stealing funds.

My legacy account was finally verified by Poloniex some time ago, and full account status granted.

Polo is not usable any more with bitches like Goldman Sachs owning it  Roll Eyes Shocked

Could not agree more.
and also the fact it seems impossible to get verified there. Submitted all valid documents - verified at Binance and Kraken in a matter of days. Been over a month with polo and nothing at all. They can go and fist themselves.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 23, 2018, 05:18:00 PM

For safekeeping you're probably better off just using paper wallets. Or if paper is too unreliable medium to store information for you, you can use cryptosteel.com

oh they are a thing of beauty, although knowing my clumsy hands i would end up dropping it overboard like i did with my paperwallet

I can confirm this, not only that there are no more silly errors on Kraken while doing trades and transactions but also the liquidity and volume are much better now, moved all I had on Bitfinex to Kraken, bye bye finex Smiley

And Kraken seems to be efficient at processing verification, once my documents were submitted my account was upgraded within a week.
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitwala - Pay Your Bills With Bitcoin in Europe on: February 03, 2018, 01:24:15 PM
Also received my refund for bank withdrawal yesterday, was just so confusing with the Bitpay invoice though showing the exchange rate from the original transfer.

and then this morning i received the payment from Wavecrest for the funds locked in my Bitwala Visa Card account.

So thanks Bitwala for sorting everything out.

It does seem to be getting increasingly difficult to go from BTC to FIAT now.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 03, 2018, 12:33:32 PM
There are all these loadable visa card for BTC why don't we have one yet?

Someone Tell them Fucking whales to get their shit together!

Visa withdrew the license for all companies offering a BTC linked visa card a few weeks ago - so all Visa BTC cards are now extinct. It took me weeks to get my funds released. Also Bitwala had their bank cease all btc to fiat withdrawals.

Bitwala are claiming though that they are very close to releasing the first BTC bank account, so your BTC account will be linked to a Bitwala debit card and Bitwala bank account...but we shall see.

I think BTC to Fiat will become increasingly difficult.

Why so sure? Smiley

I'll be more sure when the trolls arrive. That's usually when the countdown begins.

But the dip now is different then all the others I think. The mothership is going down.

How do you mean?

Did bitcoin go down this much all the times xmr went down last year ?

No, it did not.

But it has done this before, maybe you're right, but I think crypto will survive this...

Let’s hope so. Its I risk I am willing to take Smiley. It would be nice to hear aminorix his opinion , or smooth or fluffy pony:)

It's done it before and will do it again, hold onto your panties ladies, now is not the time to panic, just imagine if you had sold a chunk near the top you would be feeling pretty good now.

The fundamentals have not changed.

All Fluffyponza would tell you is to not invest in monero.

Just have faith in JM's rule of 5

$243 and falling. Anyone scared yet?

yep im scared of not being able to get my btc to the exchanges fast enough to buy when we get near the $200 mark. When opportunity knocks dont let fear hold you back. Grin

Has anyone successfully upgraded their poloniex account recently? Submitted documents about 3 weeks ago now and heard absolutely nothing.

Used exactly the same documents with Kraken and upgraded to Tier 3 within a week. Not used it for trading yet, are fiat withdrawals from Kraken reliable?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 17, 2018, 03:04:15 PM
It seems we are not safe yet... 400 bi total marketcap is a support... hope we hold

Never a worry with XMR. Just fill yer boots with as many as you can. We have been here many times before, and those long term hodlers are so used to these cycles we just ride them, i used to get so stressed and depressed when xmr tanked, now i almost find it amusing that its become so predictable.

made me laugh as well that so many put the btc tank down to the Asian exchange news....seems to work everytime still. Bitcoin is a technical beast, fundamentals seem to be orchestrated perfectly to fit its technical trading. Honeybadger dont give a monkeys.

Has anyone managed to successfully verify their poloniex account recently?

Frustrating that i submitted my documents a few days ago, but get know indication of progess thru the profile page.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 04, 2018, 06:02:54 PM
It's not about HW wallets or anything, XMR is being price suppressed because big players are accumulating it big time. As someone said smart money is well aware of monero and they want to keep it as much as they can for themselves until inflation is low and they can mark the price way up

Didn't you guys notice we always are the last to pump ? its because pump happen in hierarchical orders, first you get the shittest of the the shitcoins with the wierd names like GROESTLECOIN and so on, then you got noob coins and strange coins and semi good coins, and when smart money has taken dumb money for as much as they can they pump XMR because they need to store their accumulated wealth somewhere, and whats the better place than monero?

Next year, we'll be at 4% inflation, this is bitcoin level nows, and then quickly we'll be under bitcoin yearly inflation... this will be the time to mark up the price BIG TIME, I'm talking BTC current level

This is a slow play, this is like poker when you got quad aces and you want to take as much as you can from the noobs, you take your time, you let dumb money bids and buy DRAGONCHAIN and then you put your profit back into XMR.

RINSE and REPEAT until we're at 2-3% inflation and price is above 10K and doesn't come back.

At last...someone saying it as it is. Great to hear from you Darlidada, been a long time. We used to chat on IRC a few years ago as we were both very early monero adopters (mainly thanks to aminorex and risto) (new bcttalk acc as i got hacked)..hope your still hodling? Been the best investment i have made, monero has changed my life completely.

completely agree with your post, traders are gonna trade shitcoins with one motive - to increase their buying power for more monero. It is a cycle we see again and again. and everytime when monero takes a breather we hear posts saying its because of lack of marketing...ha ha.

what happened to monero Huh

why i cant buy it ?

shapeshift is not offering it, https://www.moneroclub.com/ has internal server error, and bunch of other  exchanges seem having problem withdrawing monero too...

what actually happened Huh

i finally had my xmr withdrawals processed from polo yesterday.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 22, 2017, 08:06:07 PM
My XMR have been stuck in Binance for weeks. I can trade but not withdrawl. Anyone else have this same problem?

Same problem here. Thinking in trade them to another currency, and then moving to bittrex where it allows to withdraw monero.

Good idea, might do the same.

its getting hard to buy monero at the moment, withdrawals not working from polo or binance, and both bittrex and bfx are currently not accepting new registrations.

never had a problem with polo before, been buying xmr there for a few years. so i deposit xmr sell this week buy back today and now cannot withdraw my precious xmr..maybe i being punished for putting them on exchange  Sad
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 22, 2017, 05:40:39 PM
2 days and i still cannot withdraw xmr from polo. Just stays pending for many hours, so i cancel and try again and same happens.

Which other exchange is recommended for buying xmr?

Anybody else having problems withdrawing xmr from poloniex? My withdrawal has been pending for a couple of hours.

There's the --db-salvage flag, which has to be applied to monerod.exe from the command line, but it's unlikely that it'll "uncorrupt" your blockchain. However, if you'd like to give it a shot, it's done as follows.

1. Exit the GUI and make sure to close the daemon as well.

2. Browse to the directory monero-wallet-gui.exe is located.

3. Open a new command prompt. This is done by first making sure your cursor isn't located on any of the files and subsequently doing SHIFT + right click. It will give you an option to "Open command window here".

4. Now type -> monerod.exe --db-salvage

5. If that doesn't work, you, unfortunately have to resync from scratch. A resync is easily triggered by deleting C:\ProgramData\bitmonero.

Whilst you're syncing the blockchain using the daemon (monerod.exe), always make sure to exit it gracefully. If you're using the CLI, this is done by simply typing "exit" into monerod.exe. In addition, if you're using the GUI, simply click on the x to close the GUI and make sure to close the daemon as well.

Thanks dEBRUYNE for the fast response! Unfortunately now luck with the --db-salvage flag, so re-syncing, new ssd drive so much faster than my old hdd.

I did not perform a forced exit from the daemon, just left it running on a machine and used the save command regularly - then when i went back to check it several hours later the daemon had just closed and would not re-initialize, would this just be a glitch? or is there anything i could check to stop it happening again? Cheers
