1  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 09, 2015, 06:22:10 PM
There were more informations through the earlier posts. Friedcat never tried to hide his identity and has posted a few pictures throughout his posts.
If you remember where those might be, could you link them in this thread? I have him as "Brandon Lu" - fnnirvana(at)gmail(dot)com. Email is verified from share transfers - can others confirm or update name? Family looking is expected, now sincerity is something else.

Please stop feeding the trolls - simply don't reply.
To everyone - take into account that this thread means more than a few chuckles to a lot of folks. I  have nearly all my BTCs locked in AM shares, yet the situation is not as painful as the constant joking about it from a community I helped build.
Work together instead of destroying each others, which is what the very Bitcoin protocol is about: in the long term we gain more by helping each others rather than attacking each others (Blockchain).
3  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: March 02, 2015, 08:40:03 AM
the main thread sure doesn't look good.
4  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 01, 2015, 09:20:48 PM
guys - less infighting and more focus please, this goes beyond "i told you so" or "you're a troll". We want to get the current issue addressed. Friedcat put his name / contact out in the past. we have an address. Let's see what we can bring up / out and get some additional context as to what is going on.
5  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 28, 2015, 10:03:37 PM
Does anyone know the actual address of the asicminer office?
I do. Ok! Let me tell u the add. but except the room no.:
Global Trade Centre, 15 Wing Kin Road, Kwai Chung, N.T., Hong Kong

Actually, It's the same building to the immersion mining farm which is
now belongs to Bitfury! (No, not the same room)

This should circulate out and contact should be made - I am sure some of us can reach out to HK and have news/updates for us.
I worry friedcat slipped more than ran: when dealing with the piles of money he did, I'm sure it would attract a fair share of hawks.

Financials are overdue, we've been in the dark for too long. Jutarul, any chance you might bring this up in the next board meeting? Some hints of what is going on would help all shareholders out...

friedcat - communication is important. When you communicated you could get great valuation, raise funds & do great things. Please get a real PR person and get professional about it.

It doesn't really look like anything is being delivered at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791827.320
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshin@gmx.com is compromised on: September 09, 2014, 01:22:27 AM
The fact they called Theymos "Michael" hints to me that they are either active in the community or have access to previous emails.

I never used my real name in emails to Satoshi, and Satoshi never called be my my real name.

Finally something interesting happens in bitcoinland... The paypal news were a bit *yawn*... Nothing like the next chapter of the Satoshi drama movie for spicing up the week..  Grin

Everyone knows that Bitcoin runs on drama, so this should do wonders for the recent price slump!

I would invite you to review past exchanges with the account - they will surely try to leverage all connections within the community.

GHash.io's network share keeps falling.
Any news that I missed?
Might have to do with friedcat's post yesterday about how to get out of GHash.io (which was the default setup for the Asicminer Tube)

I do not understand why friedcat did not offer a packaged item such as previously done: the Asicminer usb miners were a commercial success despite being overpriced hashing-power-wise. Antminers are easy, simple and reliable - Sexy little miners even. Meanwhile I don't get any of that for our latest miners and it worries me  Undecided

My theory: simplicity & ease of use trumps efficiency when it comes to mining market penetration - most of us would rather deal with something slightly slower if it means less tweaking to get it running. The current miners being sold have had poor reception - why not consider an overhaul?
I would love for friedcat to have one Single Product for sale to the general public ("Just Add PowerTM")- while dealing privately with commercial mining farms. I feel this would sell, like the Asicminer cube & usb miner did.

I did not get the memo about the "good news". This is friedcat telling us he hasn't been doing good: how many times will you folks just pretend-celebrate because of a few words in here? I would suggest holding back the "to the moon" and "friedcat for president" posts for when we actually see dividends, for all we know he might withhold the mined coins to fund a hypothetical 4th gen.

13  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 29, 2014, 07:11:45 AM
dear friedcat:
(1) If you missed the specs so bad on gen2, and now on gen3, what are the chances you will make the specs for gen4?
(2) What is the current status of gen4 development?
(3) What is the current expected return on gen3?

This community believes in you, but if you keep missing the mark there has to be something wrong going on. Find what's not working, and fix it.

I've just noticed this was down. I had coins tied in there - Any update on what is going on?

Jimmothy is a troll, just put him on ignore. Please don't quote him because it forces the rest of us to read him.

I think that Spoondoolies is missing from that list. Granted they are pretty new - I'm fairly certain their numbers come close to AM.

Here's a review: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525469

Quote
Hash rates vary between 1.4 and 1.6TH depending on temperature, and power consumption between 1.1 and 1.3KW from the wall.

That's about 0.8 W/GH.

Does anybody know which vendors are able to deliver < 1 W/GH with current models?

At this point they are all below that level.
Cointerra has a 20nm at around .7W/GH that had started deliveries in January (TerraMinerIV).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvVCISb9N14

KNC has a proven <1W/GH via Jupiters, and is expected to deliver the .51W/GH Neptune this month - Although I couldn't find actual stats this guy has a detailled post as to why:
http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/resellers-affilicates/general-questions/30886-neptune-will-probably-be-4-875gh-at-2-237w-here-s-why-and-what-to-expect

Those numbers are not exactly good. We went from friedcat claiming [.2 (low power) to .35W/GH] to external manufacturers delivering specs that are entirely different(.85W/GH). As a shareholder I would have liked to hear about it here first, and from a direct source.

Any board members here want to comment on when and whether there will be an update? I thought there was going to be one at the end of February or early March... we're almost at mid-March now.
+1
Would love update

The Havelock spam is killing me. I think most posts are bogus and trying to force the site as the only solution to get shares.
It isn't. Buy direct shares via the very forums: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0. If there aren't shares offered create a thread, you'll get replies.
If you have specific Qs, you can always ask HL or ask TAT (via private message) of course.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 25, 2014, 05:06:03 PM
For all the Havelock folks - realize that you run the same risks as the guys who kept BTC at MtGox:
It is not wise to keep shares there (or BTC): Use exchanges to buy or sell, not store.
20  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 21, 2014, 09:23:54 PM
re: TAT's AM asset to Havelock.
----
I worry that there ALWAYS was a connection between the two, that insider trading might have happened and that this is currently happening to prevent any future connection link (so that investigations cannot link to him directly? so that he can work directly with ASICMiner as PR?)
Why else would you drop the one asset that made you anything? It doesn't make sense to me.

discl: I urge folks to not use Havelock and always have, and do not trust TAT either. If you have to buy/sell shares, buy direct.

This is exactly nonsense.

These are worries and not claims.
I am not trying to sell anything to anyone, I give my opinion freely and you are free to disregard it.
