Well throws in a bit more news refunds on the Prisma Units

Till now we received enough returned Prismas to get a statistical conclusion.
We decide that the old Prisma design has some flaws in both firmware and hardware.
Therefore manually fixing them and shipping them back take too long and are
not good for both our customers and us.

So the customers can choose one in the two offerings below:

1. We buy back the Prismas at the original price the customers pay.
The customers only need to ship the controller and the hashing boards back.
The fans and heatsinks are not needed. Customers who already shipped them back
can also switch to this option.

2. We use revised version of Prismas based on our new power management chips
to replace old ones, instead of returning old designs or replacing. This version is very
stable and has no problem of hashrate loss/overheat/can't identify boards/etc.
The compensation method for mining time loss is the same as before.

We cover shipping fee of both, if you can provide the shipping label.

We are very sorry for all the problems brought with the old version Prisma. The revised Prisma with our
own power management chips is much more stable. So if you are still able to put some trust on it and
accept the waiting of compensation (it accumulates with each delayed date anyway), you can choose
the second.

Please email us to sale@bitquan.com with the following information and format:

* Personal info,shipping address,tel number
* Date of buying our Prisma
* Your previous individual/exclusive btc payment address
* Number of broken Prsima boards (have to be fit well with the number you shipped back)
* Date you received your miners, date of shipping back
* The picture of the shipping label with the shipping price on it
* Your btc receivable address. it will be best to be the one you paid to us before. If the btc
receiving address is different, please sign the message with your address used for payment if you could.

For customers who already shipped back, please mail to us again (sale@bitquan.com) about the choice
you want to take.

Phasebird will reply afterwards with the new shipping address within US and EU. It
allows quicker turn-around time.

For retail customers/customers get from secondary market:

This time please direct contact us instead of resellers.
The buy-back price for you is 1.39 btc each(0.3475 btc per board), and 0.069 btc per controller.

Anyone want to take a stab at outlining a "best case" scenario (for shareholders) assuming that AM is first to market with a chip that is (for arguments sake) 50% more energy efficient than anything else out there. I have a hard time determining how realistic it is to build a 100 PH farm these days. One year ago building a 1 PH farm sounded impossible, and so while building a 100 PH farm (by one entity like ASICMINER) sounds impossible to me now... maybe it's easier than I think?

It depends on how many chips they fabricated from their sample chips of 100 they were able to test things are looking good but I would say ideally if they have enough wafers and can streamline this time around it will scale and make a lot of bitcoins for us shareholders.
Need more info wafer amount financials to make better estimates.

So the jump in share price just before fried cat made the new announcement was just insider trading?

Seems to be. Yay unregulated stock markets! Wink

Right, because insider trading never happens on the regulated stock markets!   Wink

That's what regulation means.

Insider trading happens on stock markets all the time. What do you call when people in a company buy their own stock. There is a legal and illegal way to insider trade.

See http://www.sec.gov/answers/insider.html

The legal version is when corporate insiders—officers, directors, and employees—buy and sell stock in their own companies. When corporate insiders trade in their own securities, they must report their trades to the SEC. For more information about this type of insider trading and the reports insiders must file, please read "Forms 3, 4, 5" in our Fast Answers databank.

But do you guys really believe members of AM are buying/selling shares on Havelock? Maybe board members, but I don't think FC cares about possessing a few more or less shares. He has more than enough!

Friedcat has stated on multiple occasions that they do not buy / sell shares.  In fact, his actions show that he wants the share prices to stay low and purposely avoids updates or any news that might effect the share price.

I take that as irony.

Well, I think he just wants to avoid people getting hyped too much in anticipation for gen 4 or any subsequent generation! He only releases updates when the chips are done and tested. He doesn't want people to complain about missed deadlines and hollow promises!

The price of Havelock just represents badly programmed bots outbidding all other bids which pretty much keeps the price at a minimum.

Look at it like this, does anyone actually think that AM1 is worth less than ALC?

If you think it is undervalued why not just buy as much as you can?

The price on Havelock just represents what people believe AM to be worth, I guess. 0.1 BTC also is a magical value just because it used to be the IPO price over 2 years ago! I wonder how gen 4 is coming along...

A price of 0.1 BTC is really low if you ask me. The IPO price was very conservative and the total dividend-payouts were even 6 times higher than the IPO.. Incredible! They just needed a much smaller profit these days to push the share price up, I guess!

Really wonder why the price goes down right now... I mean AM hasn't missed a deadline and February is approaching quickly! I wonder when we'll see new announcements concerning the final BE300 chips. I think we'll see more auctions of old BE200 hardware first!

Just people converting to Bitcoins trying to get them to do something else while waiting for dividends I presume
Back down to sub 0.1 on the 1/100 0.08 right now although if we start seeing news and dividend projections that price will rise fairly quickly.

Alright people, let's speculate: On which date (GMT) do you think will friedcat announce the first testing results of the final BE300 chip?
I can even host a quick betting pot if you like Grin No fees/etc, just bringing the fun back into AM.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.
