1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📌[ANN][SAGA][Cryptopia][NO ICO][Masternode 90%] SagaCoin | PoW + PoS ⚡ on: March 18, 2018, 04:14:56 PM
To "sago-crypto" / SAGA Dev:

I've been researching MN coins. I believe MN coins will be / an are currently / the "shiny new toy" in crypto for 2018 and going forward.

I've looked at a lot of the MN coins and SAGA > SEEMS TO ME (Dyor) that the numbers look good. From many points of view.

I don't want this question to come across as adversarial because it's not. And I think your answer will help a lot of new people to MN's understand.

We know that a large chunk of these new MN coins being churned out are nothing more than cookie cutter auction dumps. Doomed to failure or planned scams outright.

Can you explain to me (us) what makes SAGA different? And could you address what YOU see going on in the MN space currently and what to avoid, and even how to research what we're supposed to be looking for to avoid?

I think these are fair questions.

Thank you.

Download the lasted version of the wallet from the githab, on the PC remove all files except for the wallet.dat and restarting your wallet

Ok, re-downloading the wallet and removing all the previous files, combined with launching the wallet + closing the wallet, and adding the nodes previously mentioned worked fine. I'm up and running.

I have with these node very slowly synchronized wallet. And only 1 network connection. Is there a solution?
try this nodes

addnode = 185.150.154.103:2879
addnode = 37.187.140.168:58238
addnode = 5.9.39.71:43468
addnode = 78.132.239.54:63435
addnode = 92.242.51.188:60884
addnode = 195.91.212.120:53566
addnode = 217.145.151.133:6110
addnode = 178.90.249.82:38139
addnode = 94.249.192.89:6110
addnode = 46.146.44.130:6110
addnode = 95.139.254.120:6110
addnode = 94.181.5.169:60664
addnode = 93.80.225.255:6110
addnode = 185.117.73.218:6110
addnode = 83.69.16.203:6110

I tried these. Same result. Only 2 connections to the network and the chain is stuck at block 10769. Would be nice if the wallet worked at least.

and restart wallet

I am having the exact same problem. Could someone be so kind as to NAME the exact config file in question? Also, I currently have 2 connections to the network. I am wondering if someone has a better addnode list?? Thank you.

Won't touch this coin with a ten foot poll. Do you at least want to know why before the mod deletes / censors my post?

Answer: I simply watched their video promo on their own web page......and I said to myself "WOW!" Promo video grade? A+

It was top notch from the visuals to the voice over. Never seen anything better honestly.

Then I asked myself, "In all of crypto, what coin has come close to doing all the things they say they are going to do?"

The answer is: ZERO. Not even BTC.

Don't get me wrong, EVERYTHING in their promo vid WILL HAPPEN across the globe. It's not possible to stop it. I just have extremely serious doubts that WTC is the coin to transform the analog world into the matrix < which is essentially what is going to happen. The truth is, it will probably be a handful of coins that will change the world.

Conclusion: If it's too good to be true....it usually is.

I'm passing on WTC and not looking back.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hsrminer - Nvidia mining software for various algos by palgin&alexkap on: January 23, 2018, 01:20:28 PM
I was having the same problems with the 1080ti, I was getting 1850kh/s with one card but after some time it would drop down to 1550 and stay there. Sometimes it was a few hours and then drop and sometimes it was longer. It was suggested to me that my video card driver was crashing in the background and although it wasn't crashing the system, the overclock software was not able to reconnect to the card and so the card was running at base stats and not being overclocked even though the software showed it as overclocked.
...

Interesting premise that I am trying out now. I rebooted the machine again, lowered the o/c from +140/+350 to +125/+300 and restarted hsrminer. Reported speed is now around 1280; let's see if it holds.

Welp, that didn't work... Exactly 1 hour after restarting at a lower o/c the hashrate dropped to ~1150 (instead of ~1170).

I've just started poking around in event viewer but haven't found anything yet on driver crashes. Not sure where to look, actually, but I'll figure it out eventually... I'm sure.

EDIT - actually, backing off the o/c may, indeed, have worked. I decided to reboot the machine and try +125/+300 again and it has been running fairly steady at 1220 kH/s for 6 hours now. I never did find the gpu driver crash in the logs, but that isn't saying much.

If that didn't do the trick, you could try the opposite, i.e. reapplying o/c every few minutes.
Using nvidiainspector, I have a little script that runs in the background. It's got a 10min timer loop, and reapplies overclocks everytime it restarts. This way, if one card drops off for whatever reason, this both helps reviving it and makes sure overclocks are always current.

Happy to share it later tonight if you're interested.

I am extremely interested in your script. I want it. I want to look at it. And then I want to be able to possibly PM you and ask you more questions about it. I've literally been looking for something like this for WEEKS!! Please share / explain install as soon as possible.
7  Bitcoin / Mycelium / MyCelium and Ledger Nano S and Importing Keys. on: December 29, 2017, 04:04:26 AM
I have about $100 worth of BTC on Mycelium. I got a Ledger Nano S for Christmas.

The 'easy' thing for me would be to simply SEND the BTC from Mycelium to Ledger......BUT, those TX fees are just stupid high. I'm not paying it.

Can't I just import the key from Mycelium to Ledger and avoid the TX fee?

Or, there may be other options that I've skimmed.....like importing the keys from Mycelium to Electrum, and then use Ledger as the final destination. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

I'm still having the issue where when neoscrypt starts, the miner window is in back, and it doesn't mine at full power... 22kH/s for 4x GTX 1070s.... Until I bring it to focus, at which point it starts mining at full power, 44MH/s. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Nemosminer 2.3c, Windows 7.

I can try to help you if you want?? Are you up?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 22, 2017, 01:03:57 AM
Anyone else loose connection to zpool over night? I restart the miner and it just sits.

Not here my man. Although I have noticed the API flaking out here and there. I'd suggest re-setting everything, including your modem, router, etc. As an IT person myself, sometimes it's the stupid stuff you take for granted. Can you answer my ? from above?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 21, 2017, 12:04:52 PM
Nemo,

2 questions. 1) I got your latest miner v2.3c beta. I extract the zip file on my desktop. I literally do not change anything in the startzpool.bat.
I double click that bat and the miner opens up and downloads some things but very soon after that it just says something like 'cannot connect to coinbase.api.....retrying....then 10 or so seconds later, it just says the same thing, over and over again. Can't connect to coinbase.api....retrying.
How do I fix this?

2) what is the difference between the startzpool.bat and the startzpool24hr.bat?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: November 10, 2017, 07:35:31 AM
Hello Nemo. I'm now trying out your zpool miner (v2.2) and I am having an issue. Essentially, the setup process is smooth. Everything downloads with no errors or anything. I edited the 'startzpool.bat' to what I will post below, and it starts up and goes through the benchmarking fine but after the benchmarking it says:  Status Failed.

Also, check out the EWBF Equihash benchmark. I'm pretty sure ...... well what's up with that 466 number? Lol.

My bat file:
powershell -version 5.0 -noexit -executionpolicy bypass -windowstyle maximized -command "&.\NemosMiner-v2.2.ps1 -SelGPUEWBF '0 1 2 3 4 5' -SelGPUCC '0,1,2,3,4,5' -Currency USD -Passwordcurrency BTC -interval 120 -Wallet 38mAZJC36XtwPn1w7mBLTWzZC3DpBkfJ3e -Location US -PoolName zpool -Type nvidia -Algorithm hsr,phi,keccak,xevan,veltor,lyra2z,skunk,jha,tribus,c11,x11evo,lbry,skein,equihash,groestl,timetravel,sib,bitcore,hmq1725,x17,blakecoin,Nist5,MyriadGroestl,Lyra2RE2,neoscrypt,blake2s -Donate 5

And a screenshot. Please help. Lol. Thanks.

checked your screen shot... my guess is you haven't read Instructions Properly...

Increase Virtual Memory 64gb is optimal...  -  (Sib needs it) Sib is one of the only Algo's that Actually uses all of that 64gb Sib will not run if you do not increase it....

EWBF is perfect...   its say's 466 BTC/GH/DAY...  so if you have 1 ghs of equihash you would be getting 466 btc per day... very simple

Regards
Nemo

Nemo, may I ask if my bat file looks good to you? Yes sir, I understand the directions say to increase VM to 64gb, however that is not an option for me as my SSD hard drive is only 60 GB in size. Since you didn't know that, and I wasn't aware Sib needs it - as you explained, is it possible that I could just remove sib from the algo list? Please note, I have increased the VM on both my rigs as large as I possibly could. When I used custom settings for my VM size, I set it to 6000 MB minimum, and 29000 MB Maximum. I have been using those settings from day 1 and have mined various coins, one at a time, and also used Nicehash miner and now I'm experimenting with your miner.

I was unaware Sib needs that all that space. So if my bat file looks good to you, then I suppose I will have to go without mining Sib coin. What other algo's do you expect me to run into trouble with? Thank you for the information.

added MiningPoolHub support

Create Account https://miningpoolhub.com / add worker

edit: startminingpoolhub.bat

1.change Username and WorkerName to yours

2.select how many gpu's you have eg: (1gpu ewbf 0 cc 0) (default 2 gpu ewbf 0 1 cc 0,1) (6gpu ewbf 0 1 2 3 4 5 cc 0,1,2,3,4,5)

3.remove any algos you do not want to mine (default all supported algos enabled)

4.there is a default 5minute per day fee, that can be disabled by changing -Donate 5 to 0

5.run startminingpoolhub.bat

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1777336.0

Best Regards
Nemo

I did that but still can not mine, I get error about not existing worker or wrong password.

Same here. Doesn't work. I appreciate all people who write / code these things but I cannot bite my tongue any longer. The instructions the come with most of these miners are absolutely atrocious. It's as if we are just supposed to magically know how to make them work. And even when there are instructions (at least this person attempted to list concise, step by step instructions) half the time those instructions are wrong.

For example: 1) Create Account https://miningpoolhub.com / add worker < Fair enough, but ADD WORKER WHERE?Huh?? In the "Hub" section? Under a certain coin? What?
Example 2) While the instructions do seem clear enough, please ALWAYS include a complete / functional sample.bat file. Everywhere there is a %USER% , am I supposed to put the username INSIDE the %--%? Or do I delete the % marks and just have the username? Also, do I need to do that in every line with every algo I want to mine?Huh?

The instructions make it seem so simple but after working with it for 30 minutes and not being able to get it to work, I gave up. All I'm asking coders / etc who put these miners together is to put together an instruction set that 1) Actually works, and 2) a FUNCTIONAL (not hypothetical) sample.bat file. I'd really like to try this miner but.....I don't have time "figure it out" when it doesn't work.

Well I certainly meant no disrespect to MPH. I thought my issues with the miner might help others on his pool as well. Anyway, I will go to github as requested.

And MPH, as I stated right from the start, I love your pool. As others have stated, I vote for ZEN and HUSH to be added. Smiley
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: November 01, 2017, 03:36:32 PM
Yo Fonyo,

  Multiminer problem guy here from 2 pages ago. Alright, I copied the entire folder over to my 1060 rig. (I had already updated the powershell thing on that rig) After I pasted it into the 1060 rig, I went into the "Miner" folder and deleted everything regarding excavator.

I started it using the start bat. All I can say is that it is doing something. And it appears to be doing it without any errors or red text or warnings about DNS stuff. So, I suppose that's good. Yeah?

Now I have some more very specific questions regarding this multiminer. For instance, I have come to understand that if I'm using MPH or MPCH, I do not need to put a bitcoin address in the bat file. So, I have removed the bitcoin address portion of the bat file. But then this is where my confusion comes in. I DO have to use a username.workername ..... correct? WHERE DO I PUT THIS on the MPH page? Do I create a worker under the "Hub" ....... or what?

Also you said "You will also find this and more relevant information in the FAQ section of the README. I wrote it for a reason!" ---- I'm sorry but what FAQ of the README? Where is that? Because I honestly believe I did read everything regarding the multiminer. < And By doing so, I downloaded the excavator miner because the instructions told me to. Now I'm being told it sucks anyway, and to delete it. Lol.

As far as my start.bat I have the following algo's (copied straight from the bat file as it is right now)

cryptonight,decred,ethash,ethash2gb,equihash,groestl,lbry,lyra2z,neoscrypt,pascal,sia,siaclaymore,sib,lyra2re2,lyra2,lyra2rev2,lyra2v2

I have no idea if this is right, wrong, or otherwise.

It is called multipoolminer Wink aka MPM
Here’s the README https://github.com/aaronsace/MultiPoolMiner/blob/master/README.txt

The username is what you use on MPH to login with.
You don't need to add a worker on MPH, those are automatically added albeit with a delay but that does not cause any issues.

No, you don't need to include a BTC address if you are only using MPH, HOWEVER, not all of the algorithms you listed above are available on MPH (such as sib,sia,pascal,lbry,decred). Also, for the sake of quicker benchmarking and less switching, try to include less algorithms. Depending on what cards you have (1060 rig in this case), it is better to pick algorithms that are on top of the list on MPH and whattomine.com

Add this after the -algorithm command
Code:
cryptonight,ethash,ethash2gb,equihash,groestl,lyra2z,neoscrypt,siaclaymore,lyra2re2,lyra2,lyra2rev2,lyra2v2

You will probably be mining equihash and lyra2rev2 with this as these are the most profitable algos lately.
You can always add more algorithms later.

Fonyo, thanks brother. About > https://github.com/aaronsace/MultiPoolMiner/blob/master/README.txt < I promise, I read it more than once. Smiley The first time you posted it. But, I'm going to go through and read it again.

I understand now about the username.password. Thanks. It also makes sense what you said about MPH and leaving out algo's they don't have. (duh, facepalm) I feel like with your help, I am REALLY CLOSE to having ALL OF THIS wrapped around my head. I just need a few more questions answered.

In my bat file, when you get to the pools part, I have > miningpoolhub, miningpoolcoinhub. First, what is the difference between miningpoolhub and miningpoolcoinhub? I removed zpool and nicehash. I removed those 2 for 2 reasons. As I mentioned before, when I removed zpool, I removed the need for a BTC address in the bat file and that made it a little easier on me at first just to get it up and running. I removed nicehash because I already have nicehash as a completely separate miner.

Question: I have since added a btc address back to the bat file. 1) Should I add zpool back to the list? And I went to zpool's website and it looks like their config (bat) file is structured differently. So, if I do add zpool back, do I need to do anything to the bat file OTHER THAN just adding algo's they have that MPH doesn't?  And should I add nicehash back too?

I am including a screenshot because I have 2 questions about that too: https://imgur.com/a/KhAsR

Notice the "FireiceNvidia 1,2,4, & 5? Where is 0 and 3? I also have the same problem on my 1070 rig. But it's only missing 1 card.
Why did that not benchmark all 6 of my cards and is there a way I can correct that without having to start from scratch in benchmarking?

And the last question regarding that picture: I think I understand what's going on under the "Launched Command." And below that the "Miner" part I think I understand. But to the right of "Miner", I know what BTC means and USD but as far as the %'s and those numbers.....no idea what I'm looking at. > But I am going to read the FAQ again.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: November 01, 2017, 02:25:54 AM
Also, I know you mentioned resetting the benchmarks and running them again.
Now that I have removed the excavator miner, and once I get the username.workername thing figured out, I think it's probably a good idea to run the benchmarks again, however, how do I know when they have completed?

Thanks sp_.

(Let me say something real quick kinda off the record / on the record to let everyone know where I am coming from. I DO understand there are some politics per se' involved here. Personal ego's, etc..... I get it. I really do. But I don't care if it's sp_mods, truvpot mods, or my grandmothers dildo's mods....I just want the fastest effin' miner and I don't know what that miner is. Hence my original question.)

Now, sp_, are you saying I should merge your 'bin' files (19 of them) with the truvpot version of ccminer 2.2.2? I eluded to that ? in the first post but never really got an answer.

I just want the fastest possible miner / or combo of miners and bins possible. A lot of people act like "everybody knows" how to accomplish this......and there's some people out there, like me, who don't know. Don't care about the politics. We just want answers.

So I ask again, is the fastest speeds some sort of hybrid "merged" system between sp_ and truvpot? Cause I don't know, and that's what I'm here to find out. Nothing more, nothing less.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: October 28, 2017, 08:56:28 PM
I don't get it. I installed the MultipoolMiner on windows 7. Followed instructions. Updated shell, downloaded excavator etc. Followed all the rules, adjusted my bat file and launched it.

It seems to be working but I can't really tell. I kept seeing a bunch of red text talking about ExcavatorNidia4.ps1 so I deleted that file. Then the same file but this time it was #2. Then had to delete the regular Excavator4.ps1 and Excavator2.ps1 and sine then, I have seen no more red lines in the cmd prompt.

Also, I don't know if the benchmarks have completed??! Will there be some kind of message saying benchmark complete?

Now heres the best part. I did a fresh download of MPM, Excavator and transferred them over to my dedicated rig. I didn't unzip them. First, I uploaded the power shell as per the instructions, even though my rigs are on Windows 8.1. I put the excavator exe into the newly created excavator folder......adjusted the bat file and ran as admin.

I claims it cannot find .\multipoolminer.ps1 even though its in the exact same folder as the start .bat.

[/img]

Just to confirm whether it is your machine or not, try to transfer over the MPM folder you already used and see if it works. You can run the resetprofit.bat and resetbenchmark.bat to start fresh with it on the new machine. Let us know if it works that way.

Hey fonyo. I can't get to it today but I did want to thank you and the other guy for really sticking with me through this. Fonyo, I was having some sort of "DNS" error inside the cmd screen, and I was able to copy and paste the dns error into google, and I found YOUR post on github , about the same miner, and you simply stated the error, no one helped you, you said you had deleted (portions of?) Excavator, and that you had "figured it out." (The DNS error) Could you share with me what you did to fix that?

Also, about windows 8.1..... ummm....lets just say I got a good deal on it. Wink and it's working just fine for dedicated mining rigs, and I don't really feel the need to upgrade to win 10. Unless there is some unbelievable performance increase, I can't really see it being worth it to me to upgrade to 10. Advise...??

One last thing for the evening, if I copy / paste the mining folder as you suggest, I will be copying from Windows 7 (my personal main machine) to 8.1 (the rigs) will that matter at all? I understand exactly what you're saying though. Copy / paste, and try it. And just for full disclosure, I'm on win 7 on my main pc because I tried upgrading to windows 10, and I loved it, but the hardware I am running ON MY PERSONAL MACHINE is too old for Win 10, and everytime I tried to overclock my system, Win 10 didn't like it. At all. Lol. But on my rigs, I'm running MODERN equipment. Modern everything on the rigs.
