I've dealt a bit with this stuff as well (cooling, electronics, TE's etc).   Technically, you need MORE cooling watts than heat watts produced.  As, in general, it is harder to cool than to heat.  (E.G it takes to add heat energy and more to subtract heat energy)  In a case with TE's a 250w heatsink was required to remove 100w of actual heat produced (Delta 10%F).  Operational temp of device was 10%F I suppose also, so you wouldn't need 3-4x if a larger delta is fine.

So, to cool 11,2Kw; I would assume, you prolly need around 15Kw of cooling ~ 74F final room temp+/-

(no physics isn't being violated.  You need to compare in J instead.  Essentially much less "time" required to heat than cool.  Also relates to lower energy of cool)

this is a direct consequence of the second law of thermodynamics I believe.

URSAY I hope you are not still talking about reimbursing people for shorting them. I got this email.

Hello,

Regarding order # d0277f58-a4d7-410c-9f42-0b57e02f3cad

It appears we were not executing the purchase of BTC for you bu this was merely a cash deposit into your Gox acct?  If we are not in control of your actual BTC purchase then unfortunately we cannot offer to reimburse you for this.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks!

bunch of scammers.

I sent you that email.  You made a cash deposit to your Gox acct.  We had no hand in executing your BTC purchase.

YES BUT YOU GUYS HELD MY DWOLLA FUNDS FOR A WEEK WHEN YOU PROMISE TO SEND MONEY IN 1 HR.

seriously, If you had just sent me the funds back turns out I would have been able to deposit dwolla -> mtgox in an hour and buy at 90. Instead you held my cash for a week and sent me at some inflated price (at which I bought 4 btc less than what I could have bought at the time you promised to send me).

make sense?

Yes it makes sense and I understand why you would be upset.  Can I open a ticket for you and try to reverse your fees?

no. not interested in tickets. keep the change.

Ursay,

Please help with Order ID dd91433a-c2f2-49c4-beeb-5e673dcc5bd9. I received an email stating the transaction was executed but the funds have not appeared in my account. I also PM'd you. Please push asap.

Regards,

jthev2005.

The order appears to have executed today.  Please allow 24 hours for processing.  Thanks!  Smiley

Hey Ursay,

The issue I have now is I haven't received the correct amount in my account. I paid for $96.01 but received $87.87. It's a small amount but the principle is what matters to me. Can you help?

Thanks,

jthev2005

You do realize we charge fees for this service, yes?  Our fees are listed at bitinstant.com

Yes Ursay, I'm not an idiot. I've used your service probably a dozen times now. My total was $100 before the fees. After the fees I should have received $96.01. Where did the other $8.14 go? Please send me what I paid for.

Thanks,

jthev2005

you aren't getting reimbursed.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: April 11, 2013, 04:44:42 PM
URSAY, are there any updates on my issue. I made my original order 12 days ago. If there was ever a day to send me my 4 btc you shorted me, today is it, after the crash. I sent you a pm as requested with all the details. Please get back to me.

thanks,
noname

thanks,

Can someone help me ... do I need bitinstant before opening up an account with mt.gox?

no you dont.  In fact once you open you account at mtgox you should stay away from bitinstant at all costs. This thread is full of people who have had their money disappear on in the bitinstant black hole to one degree or another
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: April 10, 2013, 12:06:47 PM
It is clear that bitinstant is shorting everyone's orders. I dont think they have paid back anyone that was shorted in the thread. Has anyone been shorted and then had their "second issue" resolved where they got the rest of their bitcoins according to the order price?

URSAY? update? I know, I know bit things coming on friday etc. etc. like I really care...

This is the last time I'm posting this. Failure to take action = me taking the drive to NYC to file in small claims

Order ID   9eddbd3f-8a69-488e-8fc1-6efdd282048d
Time of order: Mon Apr 8 15:50:41 2013
Close at 15:50:00    : 182.10
Weighted price at 15:50: 182.16

Bit-not-so-instant finally delivered 2.03748916 BTC, pending confirmation
2.03748916 BTC @ 182.10 = $371.026776036 USD
2.03748916 BTC @ 182.16 = $371.1490253856 USD

$500 @ 182.10/btc = 2.745744096650192 BTC
$500 @ 182.16/btc = 2.74483970136144 BTC

2.745744096650192 – 2.03748916 = 0.708254936650192 BTC
2.74483970136144 – 2.03748916 = 0.70735054136144 BTC

You have shorted me between 0.708254936650192 and 0.70735054136144 BTC

44 hours left

They shorted me 4 bitcoins and I have been waiting a week and a half. This company is total garbage

update on my money URSAY?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: April 09, 2013, 03:36:08 PM

We have resolved your issues before thru this process.  You know how it works and you know that we will not scam you.  Please be patient!  Cheesy

no, I wouldn't say my issue was resolved through this process. I only recieved 2/3 of the btc I ordered, that is why I have this "second issue". Trust me I won't be having any more "issues" with bitinistant because I wont be using it anymore.

Look URSAY ur obviously an honest and hard working rep who was just hired to take care of this disaster. Please dont feel that any of my anger is directed against you because its not.

Frankely, its very hard to be patient because I dont think bitinstant is going to be around for much longer. I expect that you will be screwed along with the rest of the suckers who are unfortunate enough to still have their money stuck in bitinstant when the owners decide to close up shop. I don't want to be one of those suckers and since Im waiting to receive the FULL AMOUNT that I ordered a week and a half ago I think I should be one of the first in line to be allowed to run away from this disaster

I just wanted to let everyone to know that Ursay helped me to resolve my problem quickly. They're pretty slammed right now but they will get to you asap I assure you. I've had a few problems with BitInstant in the past few months but they've made it right every time and that's what matters.

jthev05

lol @ asap, Ive been waiting a week and a half to get my order. And I sent mine on dwolla.

Has anyone's issue been resolved in the past week?? I only see people complaining about missing money, I haven't seen a single thank you.

well when I first had my issue, they put me on  a list for a week then sent  me 2/3 of the money and then put me on  another list. I have been on the second list for 2 or 3 days.

Hello URSAY
Let me just say that I am pretty infuriated. Not at the time its taking bitinstant to send me my money though.

I found out last night that Dwolla -> mtgox is instantaneous (an acquaintance sent money last night). There was no reason for me to even use bitinstant since I sent from Dwolla -> bitinstant -> mtgox and definitely no reason for it to take a week to get me my money once you guys had the dwolla funds. I feel so ripped off.

regardless, I am owed 4 bitcoins (I did the math on a previous page). I guess the ticket is already submitted. I dont care if you guys wait till btc is worth a million a piece, you still owe me 4 bitcoins. Please don't wait another week and send me enough dollars to buy 4 bitcoins at some long gone price. Whenever you guys your act together, send me 4 bitcoins at the current price.

thanks,
