Any of you guys receive your compensation yet?

If you PM me your name and wallet address, I can send you the BTC compensation rather quickly.

Haha Smiley

Thanks for all your hard work on cgminer, btw.
I remember using your -ck patches for 2.4 kernel when I was a little dude.  So thanks for those too Cheesy

Oh, I'm not worried about the HW errors.

I was just hoping to get the "2.2-2.7GH/s" that was advertised for this thing.
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Blue Fury Support Thread. on: November 10, 2013, 03:16:40 AM
Just noticed that ckolivas commited a changeset a few hours ago with an update to the bitfury driver. Re-compiling from source, with those changes, made a difference in the numbers I was seeing in cgminer. Cgminer reported hash rate went from around 1.7-1.8Gh/s to around 2.2 - 2.5Gh/s.
I didn't think the changes would make such a difference, but there will be hardware errors reported now.

Anyway in case someone cares to try it, here's an updated windows binary with the changes:
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/temp/cgminer-nogpu.exe
I'm not on Windows so I can't try that - checked out what's on git right now and didn't seem to make much difference (except now I am getting HW errors).

Before:
 BF1 0:                | 2.089G/2.037Gh/s | A:1538 R:2 HW:0 WU:29.4/m

After:
 BF1 0:                | 1.991G/1.973Gh/s | A:273 R:0 HW:114 WU:27.7/m

Anyone have any suggestions?

Derp.  Not sure how I missed that.  Thanks.

 BF1 0:                | 2.018G/1.930Gh/s | A:410 R:2 HW:0 WU:28.4/m

Thought these things were 2.2-2.7 Gh/s?

This is with cgminer 3.7.2.  Any suggestions?

I don't think so.

10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: April 17, 2013, 12:28:27 AM
looks like 50btc down now, heh.

do you guys have multiple pools set up in your miner, so if one goes down you keep on mining?

looks like cgminer supports multiple pools but i have not explored this functionality.

The NSA undoubtedly has this kind of processing power already.

I suspect that a good portion of the total network hashing power is from governments and large corporations with the resources to throw at this kind of thing.
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: NVIDIA Kepler (K20) from 134MHash/s to 330MHash/s with CUDA on: April 07, 2013, 01:02:08 AM
just compiled it and i'm running it on gtx680, CUDA still new to me, playing with parameters.
Unfortunately I don't have several thousand $ for a K20  Grin

maybe you should read the error message. it looks like it might be telling you what is wrong.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [SOLVED] cgminer temp/fan-speed disppeared? on: April 06, 2013, 06:02:37 PM
I think it's the ADL (http://developer.amd.com/tools/graphics-development/display-library-adl-sdk/) stuff that allows access to temp/fan settings in cgminer. Presumably ADL needs to talk to X for it to work.  Not 100% sure.
15  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need help with Xubuntu + CGminer (edit: still unresolved) on: April 06, 2013, 05:48:29 PM
Here's what I'd try

- make sure X is using both cards
- upgrade to latest cgminer
- figure out cgminer command-line args to disable one GPU, try running, disable other GPU, try running, see what happens, may be informative. (-d flag)

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What software do you use? on: April 06, 2013, 05:30:23 PM
i mine with cgminer

I use multibit and bitcoin-qt for wallets although I'm not sure which I like more.
bitcoin-qt uses a lot of space on my disk.

multibit has the USD exchange rate displayed on it (from MtGox) which is nice, plus it syncs up to the network quicker and uses less disk space.

I'm gonna give it a try on a GTX680 under Linux later today or tomorrow and post my results.
