1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Errors scrolling on screen while miner is running on: April 16, 2017, 01:57:23 PM
Try to clean all PCIE connectors. Fence likes to cause such errors.

Another tip:
You must recognise card that have problem.
You have 2 ways.
1. Disconnect all cards and then connect one by one and test.

2. Disconnect one card and test. If there is still error, disconnect another one. Last disconnected card was haveing problem (if only one have problem).

Regards

PS for cleaning i am using grain alcohol.

M25P20/c is flash from RX 480. Or you flashed RX470 with 480 bios or something is wrong.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Data Center Mining Garage and Man Mining Cave ( PART 2 !!!!!!!!) on: March 22, 2017, 10:36:45 PM
RX 480 G1 Gaming is crap in my opinion, have 15 of this and every card is hot as ****. Ref card is cooler. I burned by touching this card...
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Want to rent GPU rigs ( Only AMD GPU with 8GB ) paying 150% of normal prof. on: March 21, 2017, 10:37:25 PM
As written in title looking for reliable partner to rent some rigs ( more details can be discussed in private ) and willing to pay 150% of the normal profitability ( we can discuss the exact price on pm ) .

Current profitability at the time of writing is aprox $2.5-$3 per RX480 8GB , will pay $4.5 , looking for 30-40 GPU's at least

Thanks

PS. Looking in long term partnership , preferably someone who has a mining farm based on GPU.

Send me PM I have 20 rigs of 6 Rx 480 8 GB, all rgs have 1600W psu, so i can run any algo rock stable. Your offer is interesting. You can PM me.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: No Flashed Rx 480 runs like flashed on: March 13, 2017, 10:24:01 PM
Never heard of this but you could test by flashing the second card to 1750 just to see what you get.

I was done flash at all cards. (One 2100 mhz memory, rest 2150 mhz). When i have this "bug" i was trying to mine claymore with 30 mhs success. Then taken this card to linux rig and i have 24.5 mhs again. I think that windows 8 (i am using this) have something like "on fly" settings. I was looking for last modified files in windows and there is folder caled DriverStore and Temp. I want to install clean Windows and test again.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / No Flashed Rx 480 runs like flashed on: March 13, 2017, 03:15:41 PM
Ok. So i was yesterday flashing 30 XFX Rx 480 RS and i was seen something what we should test.

I was done this:
1.Turn on computer with 1 Rx 480.
2.At start claymore speed test. (24.5 mhs, so standard)
3.FLASH
4.Reboot.
5.Again 2. Now. 30 mhs.
6.Turn off computer, put another one card.
7. GPU-Z shows that STOCK (100%) card have GPU and memory clock of Flashed card (but is stock). Default Clock and memory shows as card stock.
8.Test in Claymore takes me same result 30 mhs.
9. So memory straps (2000mhz) must be still same (1750 mhz) (of flashed card).
10. I am using 1750 straps without flashing? I see that voltage too.

I see that we dont need to flash cards, only force windows to use specific config or something like that. For stock (ref) cards that can be safer. I was looking for file or something like that where is stored config. Can somebody help to find solution? This can be best way without waranty break.

Sorry for my English.

Today i have problem at 20+ rigs with:

#########################################
Checking connection to simplemining.net ...
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 2/4
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 3/4
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 4/4

Some rigs are connected and mining, another ones have this connection problem. I see this in simplemining panel. I was tested internet connection, and LAN options at windows machine. All works fine. Pings etc are good too.

Logs from one rig:

I see here psu specialists. Molex is 4 pin connector.

You have ~12V yellow cable
GND 2 black ones
1 red with ~5 V

And betwen yellow and red is ~7V

But problem with molex is that have always small cross section.

Or you need other psu or you can try to make custom cables like that:

I am using this in one card (bought psu with not enought 6/8pin pcie cables)

3/4 molex -> 6/8 PCIE connector. And remeber, all molex must have another line, not 1 cable with 3 molex and connected to card <- this still be 1 cable.

I have super flower leadex 1600w GOLD 93+% ef. Have enought cables to use 6 PIN risers and power cards

i have one of this bit like is see he is missing on +12v dc  and one gnd then it has to be this that my gpu is not running
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GIGABYTE-2-x-Molex-to-8-Pin-Power-12CF1-1PW013-11R-Molex-to-VGA-Power-Cable-/281517349096

then i need this one
http://www.kleinspul.nl/index.php?productID=1819

if iam correct Huh?

As you can see this is good cable, but is better to have more 12V cables then GND. In molex allways 2 midle cables are GND. Right one (90 deggres at bottom), is 12V (should be yellow). Good if you have litle skills and can make this cable alone. Buy PCIE 6/8 PIN female connector, 1-2 m good cooper cable, and 2-3 molex and both pins. In my country all cost less then 1 molex -> PCIE connector, and i have guarantees, that i have very good cables that are not hot after 10 min of mining.

I dont know why ppl connect 2 or more psu`s.

Problem is equalizing currents, that always destroy one of psu. Faster or slower but always do this.

I've got 2 of those extenders, but they do not work with molex riser - https://www.hashratestore.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/powered-pcie-1x-16x-16x-riser-cable-molex.jpg - any idea why ?
Do they need usb risers ?
That one is burned

As @azzAz says that wire is scorched a bit near the 1x PCIe connector. It looks like it overheated. Probably not enough power to the riser or a surge.

USB pcie risers run 1x yellow power wire (12v) and 1x red wire (5v) into the Molex connector. That cheap ass ribbon cable you bought has a single power and no ground wires. Heck, it probably cost you as much as a good PCIe USB riser would.

I sell PCIe risers so take my advice with a grain of salt, but don't you think it's weird that your Molex connector usually has 4 wires running into it but you only have 1 in your ribbon riser?

1 wire risers works normal...

I have plan for my DC to cool down wind with my water borehole. One 120-240 W  water pump (~2-5C water) to 4 diesel radiators at air intake and water go back to borehole. In 1 mounth i want to run 40 new 6x GTX1070 rigs
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Data Center Mining Garage and Man Mining Cave on: February 08, 2017, 01:10:50 PM
You dont use air intake? Moisture will be your tamer. Rain and moisture will be to high for electronic.

Any ideas about adding optiminer v.1.5 as option?
You think it will resolve issues ?
I can do special package for you to check if optiminer 1.5 will work ok. But i dont think so that this is the issue. Anyway we can try.
Also can you use claymore ZEC ? (its little slower but more stable)
Anyway tell me your clocks and do you have custom timings or undervolt ?

Hallo,
i use allways stock bios etc. Clocks too. Any Claymore miner runs solid. Om 1.5 was too.

Hallo opti,
after change to 1.6.0-1  i have so many hardware errors. Claymore and any others miners works fine. I have over 20 rigs and everywhere same. 3 mb 4 works normal. I was changed risers etc. Nothing helps.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 07, 2017, 10:28:22 PM
So i have about 14 rigs that have problem with new 1.6 and 1.6.1 optiminer. 1.5 was working nice. Claymore is working without problem. I think that 1.6-.1 destroyed some of my risers. After 10 h mining with optiminer (with watchdog to restart) is no way to run rig without problem.
Rigs:
6 x RX 480 G1 gaming
6x RX 480 XFX RS
6x RX 480 XFX GTR
3x 5x RX 480 XFX Reference with backplate
7x 5x RX 480 Sapphire Reference
H81 pro btc
SSD drive
1600W psu

I was swithed all rigs to Claymore. Can you add v1.5 optiminer as miner option? Its 280-290 Sol/s, but work stable for me.

Where is restart script that i can use in Optiminer --watchdog-timeout 40 --watchdog-cmd  command?

I have some gpu crashing sometimes and i want to restart whole system.
