the ps is modular but has only 4 gpu connector , and 5th card i have powered from molex they go on 6 pin connector at end

This is your problem

A 6 pin pci-e line can throw up to 300 watts at 12v

a 5 pin molex can only throw 5v which is a huge difference.

buy a different psu...don't use molex splitters/converters.

If you have to, use an add2psu connector.

You need 12volts,

pcie is 12 volts... molex is 5 volts.

A pci-e splitter(pcie to 2x pcie) might work...but I highly suggest getting a psu with the proper connectors.

If you have 2 psu's you can connect them with one of these "add2psu" connectors:

Just make sure not to use 2 different psu's on the same gpu.

I suggest using only 1 psu per rig unless you know what you're doing though.

Not that anyone truly knows what they're doing.

I see here psu specialists. Molex is 4 pin connector.

You have ~12V yellow cable
GND 2 black ones
1 red with ~5 V

And betwen yellow and red is ~7V

But problem with molex is that have always small cross section.

Or you need other psu or you can try to make custom cables like that:

I am using this in one card (bought psu with not enought 6/8pin pcie cables)

3/4 molex -> 6/8 PCIE connector. And remeber, all molex must have another line, not 1 cable with 3 molex and connected to card <- this still be 1 cable.

I have super flower leadex 1600w GOLD 93+% ef. Have enought cables to use 6 PIN risers and power cards

AFAIK any molex->PCIe 8-pin power adapter will work. I would also choose second one.

It's not always enough

If  you run 6 cards on these without any standard pci-e lines then you're asking for your house to burn down.

or try one of these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/401195513882?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I have the same Mother board and no issue yet with four or five cards after i started using the above raiser i had a few RC burn out ..  .. The new ones  seem a lot safer to use .. the parts look and fell better built .

here is some one that sells them in the US if you can't wait all most three weeks from China.

I bought from both Sellers it is the same card from either, one takes longer to get, cost less, while it only takes a few day for the one in the US  it does cost more with Free shipping ..

As you can see this is good cable, but is better to have more 12V cables then GND. In molex allways 2 midle cables are GND. Right one (90 deggres at bottom), is 12V (should be yellow). Good if you have litle skills and can make this cable alone. Buy PCIE 6/8 PIN female connector, 1-2 m good cooper cable, and 2-3 molex and both pins. In my country all cost less then 1 molex -> PCIE connector, and i have guarantees, that i have very good cables that are not hot after 10 min of mining.
