1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Test results after 2 days of mining (ETN)Electroneum on: November 30, 2017, 10:40:26 PM
After 48 hours using 5 Radeon RX Vega 56 - 8GB HBM2 2048bit on my first rig i got 2100 ETN and an electricity consume of 6-7$ ... on this moment those 2100 are approx 82$ BUT they had an approx 30% grow in the last 24-36 hours ...At the end .... a profit of 38$/day with an investition of max 3500$ ...
Please let me know if you know another coin with a higher ROI mineable with a rig like mine

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Single coin mining vs profit switching on: November 27, 2017, 04:51:30 PM
Hi so far I have been mining single coins. Zen, xzc and others.
I understand I can use a site like mining pool hub to automatically switch to the most profitable coin. What's your opinion on this? Is it recommended?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a solo miner that auto-switches the algo/coin you mine? on: November 16, 2017, 01:21:13 AM
Ideally I'd like a miner that monitors changes in difficultly and switches the coin it's mining, but allowing me to favor certain coins over others.   ...and obviously if possible, dual mines whatever it can.

Hello colleagues, please let us know what is better - mining at Nicehash or Ethermine or somewhere else?
I know that there are a lot of differences, I understand that in nicehash is better, because your work turns straight into the bitcoin, but I still expect an opinion.
thanks

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining strategy suggestions/ Constantly checking What-to-Mine hurting home life on: November 11, 2017, 06:28:06 PM
I recently got a new computer with GTX 1070. I have been tinkering with mining, but have been checking WhatToMine fairly frequently. This is starting to hurt my home life for only about 1.50 USD per day, profit. getting up at 5:30 am to check what I should be mining isn't helping either.  Cheesy Any suggestions on what a more balanced strategy would be? The nagging from my partner is starting to increase...
PS: I've already limited my choices between Nicehash, ZCash, Zencash, Hush, and Bitcoinz. But even toggling between these 4 options is taking an inordinate amount of my time.

Hi,

I’m looking at which coins would be best to mine.
I’m hoping for profit but in months rather than hours/days and volume.
I have 1 RX 580 and 2 290s.
Which coins would you mine?

Thanks,  Wink

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profit switching miner other then Nicehash and Minergate on: November 10, 2017, 05:54:24 AM
Hey guys,

I have a few rigs which I use for mining different alts. Recently I ve been quite busy and cannot find enough time to constantly maintain them so I search for set it and forget it solution. I know it s a bit less profitable but I have no other solution ATM. I have used Minergate, not happy with it and I have used Nicehash which is a bit better. Is there anything else in the market which might give me a better mining result with as low as possible fees.

Thx

Hey Guy's

What is the best coin to mine with a nvidia mining rig with 18 1060 6gb modded.
They don't have HDMI ports or anything they are connected with risers.
I get about 410-450 MH/s at ether.
5000 H/s at equihash

Hello Bitcoin Talk

I have been trading bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for about 18 months now and I have loved the rides and benefits from crypto. I have now decided that I want to invest in certain coins and spend time learning about mining and mining some coins.

I apologize for my terminology now. In terms of the mining rig, where do I start? I understand that you need X amount of GPU's all connected together and then a computer, raspberry PI or something along the lines to get connected to the pools etc.

What GPU's are best for mining?
How many GPU's would I need to create a high enough Hash rate for a passive income?
How do you find the best pools?
What software is best for mining?
What coin/coins are best for mining now? and how do you work out which coin would be more profitable?

Pretty much everything you guys can help me with would be awesome. I understand that I am asking for a lot but I would love to get involved with the mining world and I can't think of where better to find that answer than here with the pros!

Thanks
I have something like this in mind

Hi,

I am using awesome miner, I have nicehash and Zpool ticked in general under miner.

I have my Bitcoin address in the window next for each, the Zpool is showing on zpool website but Nicehash is not.

Am I doing something wrong, I have nicehash account with same BTC address but it says nothing has been done is last few days but I have seen it mining through nicehash on awesome miner.

Any advice please?

Also any other recommendations of pools to chuck in with those 2.

Thanks
Ben

Hello all,
I am a new member to the community and I've just built my first rig...
Can anyone here tell me how I can build software for a miner? Like claymore or EWBF...!!! What kind of skill sets would I need? I am quite proficient in C/C++ coding...
I consider this more of a project to learn...!!!
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me...!!!
Thanks,

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking into Monero or other altcoin mining on: September 30, 2017, 08:38:57 PM
I know that laptop and desktop is dead for BTC and LTC for the most part but my laptop is taking a dump on me and it's time to buy another one. I'm probably going to spend somewhere around 1500-1800 on a new system and figure I can leave it running while I'm at work daily to mine. I was thinking on something with a 1070 card should be a good start(says roughly 768 hash rate on monero benchmarks ). Most likely I would have to join a pool I know but also looking into how feasible a system in this range could be to mine other altcoins such a Zcash or others that are not as popular to try to get in early. Any advice on a system? My only requirement is it does have to be portable as I go on trips and use it for work in the evenings and under 2100 total.

Any advice is much appreciated.
