1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 15, 2017, 07:29:47 AM
hello, I just downloaded another AM on my nvidia laptop to run while I am not using it. I set it up, benchmarked it, but it only benchmarked a few, then I tried to run it after. But it keeps popping up the miner for a second then disappearing and saying interface offline on AM GUI. I looked in the logs and this is what it shows.
Code:
12/13/2017 2:10:52 AM.799 [010] [E]System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable.
12/13/2017 2:10:52 AM.799 [010] [E]   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
   at PE.Infrastructure.Web.HttpRequestHelper.GetResponseString(HttpWebRequest req)
at PE.Infrastructure.Web.HttpRequestHelper.PerformPost(String url, String postData, WebProxy proxy, CookieContainer cookieContainer, Dictionary`2 headerDict, Boolean throwException, Boolean preventUnescapeOfSlash, String contentType, String requestMethod)

Any help would be much appreciated, as I have no clue what would cause this and have not been able to find any info as of yet to help.

Can anyone help with this? I see other people here haveing the same problem but have not received help either.

First things first... it's not a good idea to run mining software on a laptop.  They don't have the ability to keep your laptop cool for long periods of time that you would be mining.  You could potentially damage your laptop.

That being said, if you still want to try... What model GPU is in the laptop?  Which benchmarks did it complete?  Are you using a managed miner or a profit miner?  Which pool are you using?  What coin or algo are you trying to mine?

Well, now with my luck I am having the same problem with my 3 rx 580 rig. It has benchmarked all algos but was only mining to miningpoolhub with the profit miner mining all available algos.

Now for my laptop. Yes I know that it is not good to mine a lot with it, I only have it run at night in the nice and cool basement along with my 580 rig. My laptop has a NVidia GTX 1060 in it. I am currently having it benchmark again because I had deleted and re-installed the program and my miner so I cannot name off the top of my head what it was able to benchmark. I have that connected to miningpoolhub and zpool.

On both of them when I click the miner and start it, it says "interface offline" and they both give me the same error in the logs.

Thank you for your reply and help.

Bullcoin | The Currency Revolution
http://www.bullcoin.co/

BullCoin is a peer-to-peer digital currency with a distributed, decentralized public ledger, which unlike those of traditional banks is viewable and easily audited by anyone.

Think of it like a peoples bank. Your accounts cant be frozen, it is completely and always free, it is anonymous, much more secure than traditional banking and payments can be sent to anyone in the world within seconds. Anyone can create an account just by downloading the software. This bank has no owners and cannot be shut down. Because it is peer to peer, it is completely transparent. There is a limited supply of coins making it valuable and a great store of wealth like gold. New coins can only be generated by the networks 1% interest rate. Everyones account generates 1% interest per year to help keep the system secure.

So welcome to the future of currency!

hi. I'm curious to know there is some connection between the Tor browser and your coin?

No.

The only connection is that the Torcoin wallet connects to the internet by using the Tor network, making your connections anonymous and allowing you to use stealth addresses to make your payments completely anonymous.
ok, thank you for information

anybody started negotiating with the black market?

do not fall for the lies. unless something has changed in the few weeks since I have been here, TORCOIN DOES NOT CONNECT THROUGH THE TOR NETWORK!!!! It is a lie, to try and draw people in.

Dude, we have new wallets  Cheesy

why are you supporting this ripoff? it seems you are a good person? is it the easy money that made you hop on this train? really, nothing about this coin is original or more useful. there are tons of coins integrated with the tor network. most of them did not have to lie about it. most of them also didn't ride the coattails of a well known project to attract attention either.

Give TheTorcoin a chance

What would be the purpose of him lying?

It's not like he's dumping on the market, we can see his wallets on

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tor/#!wallets

Waiting to see our wallets developed..

Why would I give someone misleading and putting people's freedom in jeopardy a chance?

What IS the purpose of him lying?

Why would he dump when fluff is obviously all you need to jack up the prices (as seen when this coin first launched)

I could get you one developed for about half of a btc.

scamcoin, parasiting on brand TOR.. even using its logo.. get real, this coin has nothing to offer and is here only to make money to its creators and very early adopters
Give proof that this coin and project is launched for scamming purposes?its the developers and the teams choice to  use this kindof logo and name not for a purpose but just to make it cool i think,is it illegal to use that as a logo and name?im pretty sure they have the permission from tor developers to use this logo and name

You must be new here. The official tor project has officially and publicly denounced this poor excuse of a project as being neither related or trustworthy. Might be how the scammer straight out lies (potentially ruining people's lives), both about this "project" and the official  tor project. This coin has ridden the coat tail of the trustworthy tor project since day one and crapsbon it's good name. This guy does not care about your safety, or making a good coin, otherwise he wouldn't lie to mislead you into thinking this is totally safe.

Full TOR integration here >>

https://github.com/TorCoinProject/torcoin/tree/tor

Windows and MacOS wallets aren't yet TOR integrated but will be shortly.

We finally got one step forward to the most reasonable outcome. The founder just admitted that the Windows and MacOS wallets are not Tor-integrated YET  Grin.
Thank you "TheTorcoin".

Again, "TheTorcoin", can you please tell us if you plan to hire some devs in order to get these 2 remaining wallets integrated one time for all ? (supposing the Linux wallet is REALLY Tor-integrated).
When talking or hearing about Torcoin, anybody expects it to be integrated to the Tor network. That f*cking makes sense  Roll Eyes ..
You (We  Wink) literally have a gold mine in our hands . Not every coin has the TOR mnemonic, not every coin has such available supply, not every coin has such potential ..

The devs have been working on Android wallet for the past month - it is apparently not so easy to develop this.  Most coins don't have an Android wallet, but TorCoin will. It is costing me 6 BTC (of my own funds, I'm not selling TOR for this)

After Android wallet, then the top priority will be TOR integration for Windows and MacOS wallets.

I'm going to leave the linux client as-is, so people can either download the TOR integrated version or the non-TOR version.

What devs? Last I heard (which was less than a month ago) was that you were still looking for a dev to finally actually integrate tor like you claim to have already done. Idk what you're talking about, most coins do have an android wallet, and if any of them had to pay the current rate of 6 BTC then they were just as dimwitted as you. So, none the less, just like how the test of your claims are misleading and false, I believe these ones probably are too.

I would be very careful mining anything on a laptop. With that said, AEON is one of the easiest on the system CPU minable coins that I am aware of so you may be ok if you keep a close eye on it.

Why is mining on a laptop not a good idea and what needs to be have an eye kept on it?

It can overheat, if the laptop isn't well designed.

As long as you are sure it won't overhead, mining on a laptop can be extremely efficient.

Ah, ok cool. I have an asus rog that I am learning to mine with,  so far even using the gpu it doesn't get above 85°(except when I used the minergate mining software) but have been able to keep it around 80.  Is there anything else I should watch for?  I'm going to try mining this to try it out.

Interesting concept who is behind this project as I think if you will provide escrow than it will look a legit. Any bounty campaign you have plan to run this to promote this project with better way.

Hmm...But, I think bounty program is unfair to ICO participants .
So, We decide advertisement program.
We will pay ETH equally of 10% ICO funds.

Advertisement program purpose : The more people participate in our ICO, the more advertiser get more ETH.

Thank you for your attention to our project ! If you wonder others , please reply!
Our team reply to your reply ASAP

Blablabla It's only about making a quick buck and your fake ICO.

Noway, I really serious. This project is based on my 15 months cryptocurrency trading life.

Bounty program is really good program.
But bounty program is unfair ,
because someone gets coin using ICO but people who participate in bounty program are get coin using just sharing twitter link .

What's your problem or wondering ?

At least try to read something before you post or hire somebody who can talk in such a way people understand what you are saying.

Just remove the OP and go find another hobby because we have enough scams and crap coins already.

Another hobby ?
Before project started , I'm a cryptocurrency trader during 15 months.
And I share my bitcoin, ethereum and some altcoin chart.
+ Using my charts , a lot of people got 0.1 billion ~ 1 billions and more .

And They said " Aren't you tired ? "
Exactly, very tired. I analyze coin's chart, finding scam coins, response to mining hash rate and find coin's news everyday .
If you're a trader , I think you know trading is very tired.

Small groups who can build huge mining factory, they can get a lot of coins just building mining factory.
And I heard that " this is unfair ! we have a right to receive coins equally of total supply "

I want to make the world that can get coins equally of coin's total supply.
Analyze coin's chart, finding scam coins, response to mining hash rate and find coin's news,  anymore.
That is why i planned this project.

I think your reply is not match our project reply.

Can you show any proof that you have been trading for 15months and showing your face while doing so as you claim?

TORcoin uses many nodes to protect its user's privacy. When the virus blockers cannot figure out what this nodes are, they take it as a virus. Glad to see that TORcoin's reputation is being cleared up, great job iluvbitcoins!

Thanks

I am spending quite some time lately with Torcoin.

I believe with future development of the Windows wallet, the community is going to respond to massively.
Torcoin is lucky to have you as their marketing manager. Most manager wont do as much work as you do to keep the project clean. They will just leave the blame to the devs and say that they are only in the marketing area. I am now sure that this coin does have a nice community that will support them.
You are right because I am here on this forum for some time and done work with few others but no one giving any details and time for project @iluvbitcoins is doing really great work for them  Smiley

I just cannot but add words to the level of commitment you have showed to this project over the days it has been in existence couple with you real time response to curiosities raised and your level of diplomacy which is a plus for this project and hope that your effort is adequately rewarded by the time this will be reaching its proposed height in the crypto space.

Thank you guys Smiley

First, this is how you people should respond to people who make valid arguments if you want them to shut up. You take action and prove them wrong. You don't cry FUD or tell them to "install linux or an emulator if you are a pussy".

Second, still the windows & mac wallets don't use the TOR network (let alone run a TOR node). So, this is still a bullshit coin that doesn't do what it claims to do.

When it does integrate with Windows&Mac wallets, will it really matter it didn't previously?
Or we'll have a Tor integrated cryptocurrency with pre-mixed coins on stealth addresses and a greater stage of privacy then we had before?
If we aspire to do this, I see no reason why it wouldn't be done.

The TORcoin, you mentioned that you would be scrapping the whole signature campaign idea. Would you still honor your current campaign however? I'd like to earn a bunch of TOR to keep for the future!

Ofcourse the previous signature campaigns will be honored.
We will still be running the BTC+TOR campaign, just not the TOR exclusive Smiley

The point is more so how not only is it a complete lie, but you drag the torproject through the mud while you're doing it. Newsflash, there has been many other coins with tor jntegrated, and didn't have to lie about it. So whether or not you do actually integrate tor in, it won't be anything new and you have a track record for being sleazy and misleading.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TOR] Torcoin - X11 PoW - Tor Integrated Crypto - Torcoin.org on: May 21, 2017, 01:13:12 PM
Who are those just dumping TOR Angry  Huh?
we are trying to raise the price here!!

Why would you be trying to raise the price of a coin that is a complete lie?  the coin ripped off a project that actually has good credibility while claiming to not only have its functions(which it doesn't) but more functions.

You people don't seem to realize there have been 20 other coins that actually have tor technology integrated.

apparently you did not understand my point, the claim made in the OP of this ANN is " There is never any need to 'mix' or 'anonymize' your TorCoins - they are anonymous by default. TOR is fully integrated with TorCoin, which means that a snoop or attacker watching your internet connection will not know if you are using TorCoin - and other TorCoin users cannot determine the physical location of your Torcoin node. TorCoin also offers encrypted end-to-end messaging between TorCoin users." Yet tor openly admits that someone watching your internet connection can in fact track you. Which you originally said that he had the right to claim that.

Ah, I see what you are saying now. I apologize for getting defensive. It seemed as though you were attacking something that I posted, so that was why I was confused. I still say he has the right to make any claim he wants to as long as he can back it up with facts. If you're not fully convinced that he has done so then he really should address it openly and provide his proof. I'm still not fully convinced of the "anonymity" either, hence why I used the quotes around the word, just like I did in my first response to you, so that is why I haven't downloaded the wallet or mined or bought any coins.

It's ok, no hard feelings. I was just trying to make the point that what is claimed cannot be backed up by any present facts, not trying to attack you. I guess it was lost in translation. I guess it's a matter of semantics but I do not feel that because he can do something means he has the right to. Because this project, thus far, seems to only be dragging the actual torproject through the mud, which is not right, nor the fact that he is claiming it to be as anonymous and secure as he does to lure people in. And I have no reason to believe it is until someone can explain how torcoin is somehow more safe than the tor network.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TOR] Torcoin - X11 PoW - Tor Integrated Crypto - Torcoin.org on: May 09, 2017, 05:50:09 PM
Why does it say that anyone watching your internet connection cannot figure you're using TorCoin because of tor, but on the torproject website they say you can be tracked that way?

Don't read too much into it. They're simply covering their asses in the event that someone does in fact get tracked doing something illegal by means of the Tor network. They will be able to say "I told you so" and not be held accountable. No network can guarantee 100% anonymity on the internet. Tor does a great job, but it's not infallible. A packet going through the Tor network can be intercepted at an exit node and some information can be gleaned from that. However, Tor is random and, in theory, never uses the same path twice. So there is no way of knowing which exit node is going to pass traffic at any given time. And that is, of course, unless someone has access to every known and unknown exit node all at once, which is impossible.

That's the thing, is people have been tracked that way. The tor project will admit people have been tracked that way, which is why they help you with other ways around that. It doesn't seem anyone here, especially the dev has actually done research on how tor works. Ever wonder how people get tracked on the darknweb, yaknow, the part of the Web you access through tor?

I'm very familiar with Tor and how it works. I did quite a bit of research and wrote several papers on it when getting my M.S. in Cybersecurity. I use Tor from time-to-time as well. I even went to some of the sites on the "dark web" to see what it was all about... once. Never again. There were way too many highly questionable things out there that I did not want to be associated with in any way.
As far as Torcoin goes, well, that "anonymous" thing is one of the selling points OP is using to advertise his coin. And he is certainly within his rights to do so. If people want to use Torcoin for nefarious activities, then they are taking a huge risk, and that's on them if they get tracked and caught.

If you did so much research then you know that people have been caught and he lies when he says how anonymous it is. So not only did he ripoff the name and logo, he lied about the technology.  No wonder the torproject wants nothing to do with this guy.

Yes, I do know that people have been caught doing illegal things, even with the use of Tor. Jeez, are my posts that hard to understand?  Huh Did I not make it clear that Tor is NOT 100% anonymous? It even says as much right on the Tor browser home page.

You did not make that clear, actually you defended him by saying he had the right to claim that amount of anonymity. Jeez, is it that hard to read what you wrote?

I understood what I wrote just fine. He can claim whatever the hell he wants to. Understand that first. The burden of proof is on him to defend that claim. Either he'll respond and address your concern, or he'll ignore you. That's on him.

Do you understand what you wrote? Because your previous statement proved otherwise. That's the problem, he blatantly lies, then has been ignoring me when I bring it up. In fact no one has had anything to say about all of the hypocrisy going on in this project.

You and I are obviously not on the same page here. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make about my posts, and to be honest, I don't care enough to pursue this conversation any longer. The only thing I am defending is OPs right to make any claim he wants to as long as he can back it up with proof. That is his responsibility, not mine. I am not invested in this coin at all. I don't own a single Torcoin. I only became interested in it when I saw the Announcement and wanted to see what was up. I shared your concern in the beginning about Tor being fully onboard with this coin, but OP has since changed his tune on that when Tor stated othewise. Maybe he will eventually respond to you. Maybe one of the mysterious devs will respond. Maybe one of the fanboys will respond. I don't know, and I don't care.

apparently you did not understand my point, the claim made in the OP of this ANN is " There is never any need to 'mix' or 'anonymize' your TorCoins - they are anonymous by default.
