In bios, did you try to boot on board gpu and not on pci gpu?

Yep, and it boots but GPU-z shows mess with GPUs (wrong info, nothig about memory/gpu clocks, voltage)

Did you connect a gpu with hdmi cable?

Yes, HDMI to TV

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Headless boot issue with ASRock H81 PRO BTC Rev2.0 on: February 06, 2017, 07:03:46 AM
Yesterday, got the problem with booting of headless rig based on ASRock H81 PRO BTC rev2.0 MB and 3 GPU (2 on risers, one in 16x PCIE), before it works fine around one month.
When I boot it up all fans working but it not booting (nothing on monitor if attach), but everything fine when monitor stay attached when press boot btn.
Also, it boot up headless when risers unplugged from MB just with one in 16xPCIE.

Troubleshooting which already done: mix cards risers in other slots, re-install drivers, clear CMOS of MB BIOS, unplug/plug all power connectors

Google and search in forum didn't help, just find that people has the same issue and only one solution is use monitor for boot or headless HDMI plug.

My last actions before problem occur was changing setting in wattool (fan setting and memory voltage and freq.)

Welcome with any suggestions, will be appreciated it

Why does it looks so different from Hynix H5GC4H24AJR in rx 480/470?

RAS and CAS timings the same, MISC differ

You guys are funny, I bet none of you have figured out all 20 of those timings.  It is tough as shit to figure out- here's a challenge for you 3-  if you kilo, jstefanop  and eliovp can each post one of the following 3 timings from The Stilts Hyinx 1250 strap- I will then be a believer, otherwise I say you're all full of shit/

1 - tWR
2 - tWTR
3 - tRCDR

Good luck

 - that's funny.  I will do one- how about tWTR - it really doesn't matter to me

I changed my mind, I am going to post the tRTW to prevent giving away to much info -  the tRTW in the following Stilt strap is 21

77 71 33 20 00 00 00 00 08 39 47 2A 50 55 0C 0B 24 20 45 04 00 46 C4 00 22 BB 1C 00 5C 0B 14 20 4A 89 00 A0 00 00 01 20 12 0C 21 1E 51 19 26 13

tRCDR - 0xE.

Correct me if I wrong, based on compare of custom straps from The Stilt with original one. Timing info contain in the string  77 71 33 20 00 00 00 00 08 39 47 2A and possible it's magic 3 registers one of them last or first is MC_SEQ_RAS_TIMING

MC_SEQ_RAS_TIMING is a bunch of timings, not just 1.
Ofc it's a 32 bit register where each value 4 bit. I've just want to know where exactly in this 48 byte strap this register. Also what about MC_SEQ_CAS_TIMING register, any interesting there?

Each value is not 4-bit, just some of them are.
SEQ_RAS [2 2 14 14 2 42] right?

I had great results few months ago, making hynix to have elpida performance in few algo, + hynix had an even great performance with my own custom latency numbers.

Start digging this stuff too, is to hard to find any timing information in GDDR5 specification reference material?

Is it possible to successfully mine with 470 and 280x in one rig ? Which version of driver will be the best choice?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacked Modified Memory Strap BIOS Database for ZEC MINING! on: January 20, 2017, 10:02:12 PM
I suppose this is a correct patch for ASUS r9 280x DCUII Top with Hynix AFR memory

Idea is a change range of straps and little bit change timing for 1551-Max Mhz range.
This model has two additional straps and it were replaced on 2100 Mhz and 2200 Mhz just for fill
Timings for 1st 5 straps stay as default
Next 3 straps have modified timings.

Those in red MUST REMAIN the same value for YOUR BIOS.  YOUR device says that 00 is Hynix, but the above example says that 01 is Hynix.  Therefore, only change the bytes AFTER the value in red.

Let's use the first strap for example: The "00" after the 40 9C 00, is the "field" that the manufacturers use to identify which memory type is affected by that strap.  For your "brand" 00 may mean Hynix, it may mean Elpida, Use the https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2-oGzLC-iwKRndWZEptOWo2eUU/edit, Tahiti_I_x64.exe, to identify which type of memory is yours.

If yours is Hynix, then use the suggested straps for Hynix to replace your strap AFTER the above mentioned "field."
Likewise, for Elpida.  BUT DO NOT CHANGE THE ABOVE LISTED 'FIELD' FROM 00 TO 01 OR 02!!!!

Hello, everyone! I have ASUS DCUII Top 1070/1600 with BIOS 015.041.000.000.000000 memory is H5GQ2H24AFR
I've founded my straps. But as u can see last value for all straps is 0 not 1 as in 1st post.

Could you share any recomendations?

p.s. ofc I know that all stuff is my own risk

I've identified this is Hynix AFR. You mean I should leave straps with 00 and replace next bytes or just insert new recomended straps? I'm not sure because after I don't have other straps with 01

Ok, It's clear now! thanks a lot!
