1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Need help finding advanced/technical resources about cryptocurrency and blockcha on: March 26, 2020, 11:37:56 AM
When I want to find something special about Bitcoin I usually search through resources collected here: https://www.lopp.net/

There is a lot of websites presented that will be usefull for everyone: users, developers, miners, exchange owners, etc.

In particular, for developers you can visit these:

https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/technical-resources.html

https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/developer-tools.html

https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/podcasts.html

https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/blogs.html

https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information/books.html

This is a really good resource! Thanks for sharing.
And does anyone know any similar resources for smart contract-related stuff? I know things like DeFi are becoming big now.
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Need help finding advanced/technical resources about cryptocurrency and blockcha on: March 25, 2020, 10:20:38 PM
Hi,

I have been working on a crypto project for a while now. Apart from crypto news websites and good podcasts like the Unchained /Epicenter Podcast, what advanced resources are out there to learn more about blockchain and cryptocurrency?

I've been involved in crypto for more than 5 years, and I would really like to find technical and advanced level knowledge/insight to take my understanding of the subject to the next level. Please let me know if you know of any good resources (Medium and interviews with figureheads are good but they can only go so far).

Thanks for your opinions.

Mate it wont kill you if you for once try hundreds of free and online services providing you with worldwide phone numbers for verifying all sorts

Of applications and registering in websites, here I will provide one for your future needs. http://www.freesmsverifications.com

I appreciate the information but for this verification a voicemail with a code is required.

We did this together and got paid.

Thank you, my friend, I always want to work together. Anyone can send me a message for this kind of work.

My PM limit per hour has been reached.
I have paid you again but it is not working. Can you give me the code in about 12 hours?

Sorry man, one time thing.

Are the details you using for ID stolen? It seems weird that people you know would volunteer their information? Asking because I think that would put some people off.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Guide For Altcoins Rating on: April 04, 2017, 09:22:10 AM
Oh that's weird, my comment deleted along with the other guys. Lots of people find a coin that seems to be "successful" pricewise,  something like swiscoin or e-dinar coin, which  ranked in the top 20 altcoins, but clearly is a scam.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to accept altcoin payments via wordpress ? on: April 03, 2017, 07:18:17 PM
Just use the most well-known sites, coinpayments seems fine to use. Makes your chance of getting scammed less likely.
Be aware that all the sites like this charge some small fee on each payment or they will demand a fee to use their payment processor. Make sure you check which website is offering the lowest fees (and is well-known).
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Noob Q: Can bitcoin be turned into POS? on: March 26, 2017, 04:31:00 PM
Hi guys.
Plz don't kill me for asking.

I see a lot of hype around alt-coins.
When asked, many will point out POS as a plus vs bitcoin.

I was wondering:

1. Can Bitcoin change to POS if wanted to by the community?
2. Is POS really an advantage (if it is - is it an advantage because it saves energy, or because it diffuses power)?

Thank you!

1. My guess is that enough people and developers wanted to, they could. However, mining has become such a big business for so many people and companies that wouldn't make sense. Also, you require major changes to bitcoin which wouldn't be worth it.
2. Yes, there is an advantage (slight) because no power is wasted on mining machines, which are solving problems for no tangible reason. POS means you can use your coins to "stake" and earn more, and the more you have the easier it is.
It was meant to stop there being such large differences in the amount of currency people had (too few have too many btc), but it's not that effective.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin/s are (Dash, Monero, ZCASH) are TRULY anonymous? on: March 26, 2017, 04:14:30 PM
Honestly, I appreciate the input. I have my opinion, but it was interesting to see why people support (dash, monero etc) and the reasons. I think PIVX will not overtake Dash in same way that Etc will never overtake ETH.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin/s are (Dash, Monero, ZCASH) are TRULY anonymous? on: March 19, 2017, 09:36:32 AM
I've seen a lot of shilling on this forum, and I can't tell where it ends.
Can someone tell me the positives and negatives of Dash, Monero and Zcash?
Is one more anonymous than the other?

Dash and Zcash both have trusted setups--which is a no go for anyone who cares about privacy.

What do you mean they have trusted set-ups? Are you referring to fact that people know the Dash team's names and identities.
Also, do you know why the original Monero dev guy disappeared? (not a trick question, I heard something about this).

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Star Trek / MONERO - RANSOMWARE on: March 19, 2017, 09:14:31 AM
If I be honest, this is not really a surprise. I've heard about people selling Monero RATs before on this forum. Essentially the program mines coins on the victim's computer, resulting in a botnet of Monero miner. Not really a Monero supporter, but why does it matter, these criminal activities are expected if a coin is anonymous.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thought Experiment: Deeper dive on a gov dedicated to shutting down Bitcoin on: February 16, 2017, 11:23:29 AM
I think this is very unlikely to happen. If they were to ban bitcoin and other related currencies, they would only serve to hinder own technology, because suddenly ideas of block chains that the banks use would also be restricted. It would be unpopular move. (Sorry about the bad English)>
