I just switched from unimining to antminepool for XVG mining. My coins returns is a lot more than unimining. It seems to me that unimining is leeching tons of our profit. Does anyone has that same findings?

@notbatman. Thank you very much for the Sapphire RX480-8GB-Samsung Bios! It boosted my hash up to 30MH easily! Awesome work. I have another old rig with Sapphire RX470-4GB-Elpida, I tried applying your Elpida memory timing but the best i can hit is 26MH. Elpida supposed to be the best ram available, that is what I read. Can you please have a look at the bios I tried using your guide? Running 975C/1850M/800mv settings. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=91691182699892199855

Hi, how do you download that? 7Zip doesn't recognize it as a valid archive.

Hello notbatman,
Is there anything you can do for a old GPU card like Sapphire RX480-8GB-Samsung? I only modded 1625 bootstrapped, 900mv underclock core, 850mv underclock memory. Is there anything else you can suggest?

@dimafren, so I followed your advise to under-clock using Bios and flash that into the GPU and it worked. It is still about 5-8 watt more than Windows but it is now more comparable. For those that are having same issues as my rig, you will still need to set the Core/Memory Clock & Core State in the web application.
Now I am testing if I can get it stable with just 850 mV. I will post updates once I get some hours into the rig.

Sorry about that, I didn't phrase my question correctly. I left out the important part. The GPU are hashing tiny bit higher hash-rate but consuming 20 Watt more per card. I have thought about that as well, under clocking the RX GPU and loading it into the Bios. My PSU is a 1200 Watt system and 6x GPU system is nearing its safe limits.
If you set CoreState 2 does it change? CoreVolt seems not to have big effect on power consumption. I think I mess around with Core State all the way from 7 to 1. The lower the Core State, the less stable the system is. I understand Linux is a different OS so what ever I do on Win10 may not work so well. I will try to down clock the core voltage in the bios and flashed it. I am not familiar with the mV hex value from 65282 to 65288? My GPU runs well around 925-950 mV on Win10. What hex value do I set? Lastly, I just want to say your OS is rock solid. It auto restart miner, it tracks the performance of the rig recording the error it sees, it almost NEVER crash the OS till I cant reboots it. It really good. I believe all farm operator should use it. It is a no brainer. SMOS doesn't even come close.

I am running RX480. Core : 1000 Mhz Core State : 3 Memory : 1950 Mhz Mem State : 1 CoreVoltage : 875 My GPU are all 1625 MHZ bootstrapped that works well in Windows. Must I undo the firmware hack for Hive OS under clocking to work well?
Proper overclocking can be tricky with AMD cards. A lot of guys have success but still there are problems reported. The 100% working solution is to flash your bios and with everything and do not touch that from web panel. There are upload and download bios buttons for that. But I don't understand from your post does it consume too much watts or the hashrate is low? Sorry about that, I didn't phrase my question correctly. I left out the important part. The GPU are hashing tiny bit higher hash-rate but consuming 20 Watt more per card. I have thought about that as well, under clocking the RX GPU and loading it into the Bios. My PSU is a 1200 Watt system and 6x GPU system is nearing its safe limits. Anyway, I have started a paying account up on your Hive ecosystem and added a few more rigs. I am a small farm operator and I am thinking of migrating the rest since Windows sucks and creating a lot of issues with forced upgrades and driver overwrites.

I like this HiveOS a lot and it looks like it is more informative and have more miner program compared to SMOS. It seems that it also consumes more power compared with Windows based OS.
I am running RX480. Core : 1000 Mhz Core State : 3 Memory : 1950 Mhz Mem State : 1
CoreVoltage : 875

When D3 batch was released around early Aug 2017, Dash coin price was around USD190. 4 months after that Dash coin price went up 5x to around USD1,000 due to spike in difficulty level.
LBRY coin's price has been going up steadily from around USD0.25 to almost USD0.53 now(18th Dec). Does it mean after say Feb'18, LBRY prices will go up as well to make USD2? As 40 GH per asic unit is going to shoot through the roof and make GPU mining almost impossible to make a decent profit.
Should we start buying more LBRY coin to keep?

[Question] I just started using SMOS and I think it is great. However I have a question and I was hoping someone can help. [] On a Rig with (5x RX480 - Bootstrap to 1625 Memory Timing) running Windows 10 (Claymore 10.2) = 750Watt. Dual mining ETH at 124Mhz + 415 Mhz LBRY. When I switched over to SMOS, power consumption went up as high as 930 Watt, is this normal? SMOS overclocking settings are 975 Core Mhz, 1850Mhz Mem, 950 Undervolting and Powerstage 5. PCIE has been set to AUTO. Did I do something wrong? Thank you.

Hi, Need some help, getting this error when trying to send BTCZ ( https://www.mybitcoinzwallet.com/) to a exchange wallet. Error. Error: Request failed with status code 400
Any ideas what is going on? What is the fee like? I tried 100 but I am still getting error.

Hi philip,
What are you guys mining to get 4.25 (after power deduction) per Ti card? I am making 3.25(before power deduction \ 0.016 zcash per day) at nanopool-zcash. Could you give some hints for a newbie miner here? i tried multi-algo autoswitching at zpool and it was even worst.
65% tdp, -100 mem, +50 core.
Interesting. I was running Nemos and it is not working well for me. Perhaps like what philip pointed out, I should stop switching and focus mining X coin for a longer period to see the effect. Thank you for sharing, Storx.

Go back to zpool don't switch. But pick the right coin on your own. Sounds cruel but you need to learn to pick coins on your own. Switching software is not the way to go . Try skein for a few days. Try a new coin after that. It is hard to teach a person how to pick coins. I am holding Zec I am holding dgb I am holding sia I am holding btc Thank you sir. I don't exactly know what you mean but I will try different approach now.

I am going to add fans to the frame to blow fresh air into it. It is running about 65C+. I hope to bring it down to 60C. I prefer to keep my rigs modular so I can remove them from the racks and repair them.
My current 1080ti FE/Ref types 2-3 GPU rigs stays cool with a blower to suck the air out faster. The non-FE cards, maybe a bit tricky because the only effective way for my case is to hang them with hooks (heat goes up) with ample spacing. Be careful when you select which fans to use because anything below 3000rpm "typhoon class" type fans are not going to make the cut - the Scythe fan that I am using now is a 3000rpm server rated fan (from the Antminer S7 days). Very good and powerful fans. There are better ones like Noctua, Delta, Nidec, etc. but more expensive. https://www.amazon.com/Scythe-DFS123812H-3000-Ultra-Kaze-120mm/dp/B001JKNMBE/ref=lp_2530362011_1_3?srs=2530362011&ie=UTF8&qid=1498738110&sr=8-3The "before" pix below.... all the 2-3 GPU rigs will be consolidated to 3/4/5 x GPU rigs.... when I am done with that project - will post "after" pix. The Zotaz 1070 Minis are attached to this rig because waiting for the Asus Prime Z270A motherboard for 7+2 x GPU. While waiting ... they work hard along side the Zotac 1080ti FE Disclaimer: During the PSU supply crunch, I got a few "Ethereum PSU" from China.... until I get the EVGA-G3's and server PSUs. So far so good but I am not very comfortable with the "poor man's PSU" so I use them when only needed and did not beyond 50% of the alleged watts rating. It however got all the cables, connectors required up to 6 x GPUs (6/8pins) or 3 x GPU (2x8pins) -- its the real deal.... but I don't recommend it unless you don't have any other choice. Are those Great Wall PSU? How are the Minis doing? I order a number of 1080 Ti Minis. The Minis price is irresistible.

I prefer to keep my rigs modular so I can remove them from the racks and repair them. see if a drop from 65 to 60 tdp lowers hash a lot. if you are at 2800 and drop to 2700 sol but heat is good. that may be better then adding fans to stay at 2800 sol please ignore https://new.nicehash.com/miner/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJrDropping TDP to 60% resulted lower Sol from 700 to 640-650. Temp drop -1 to -2C. Core speed dropped to 1650Mhz.

I didn't OC them much, based on what I read from this thread, I prefer to keep the card cool under power, best power/sol ratio. If it breaks down, I know RMA will take a long time. Also, I am using a 1000 Watt PSU, I don't want to break it, the PSU is reaching 90%.
