poloniex themselves are often under DDoS attacks and you get notifications every now and then to change your password and 2 factor authentication.

you figure it out.

I consider Shiites more hostile, although they are only 10% of all Muslims.

Shiites are not more hostile - at least than Sunnis. They just aren't hypocritical.
This means they do the very same as Sunnis but admit to do it.

as a mizrahi friend of mine put it,
the shia are more like the fascists, and the sunnis are the guys that tend to get all upset cos you're not like them, lol.

25$ to 100$ redeemable www.giftrocket.com giftcards for btc or other cryptocurrencies.

conditions negotiable and contacts via PM.

aaalright, just for the record and so everybody knows - giftrocket.com is a scam.
good thing no transactions occurred on that account cos somebody would have been pissed...

sorry about that, and please, caveat emptor - take a note to be cautious as what you sell and what you pay for.
myself should have more thoroughly checked before posting a selling offer, not after (and waste both yours and my time in the process..)

bid you all good day for now:)

I would not shield some people and protect others. Both Americans and Russians use propaganda at full capacity, but the United States does it beautifully and beautifully. The quality and ratings of films are exactly what they say.

i'd argue otherwise.
american propaganda is bloated annoyingly overpriced advertisement.
russian propaganda is art, and brilliant as such.

example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od4MWs7qTr8

seen any russian movies lately?Smiley
heavily sponsored by the ministry of culture, putin criticizing his own regime without any sugar coating.
but what is anybody gonna do about it?
any they're pretty artsy too. as good as any russian novel.

and yeah, assad may be a creep, but it ain't an easy task to keep that shit together.

My point of thinking is very simple. Compare Assad with his potential successor. As far as I know, all the rebel leaders are much worse than Assad. They don't have the necessary experience, and most of them are radical Islamists.

most of them aren't even syrian but gathered from the prisons from all the bearded world...
among other assorted scum.

The Americans have even converted the Hollywood movies into propaganda machines. Look at the movies such as American Sniper. The amount of propaganda in these movies will put those made by Leni Riefenstahl to shame. A perfect example is here:

here's a video

so what's this now..? a fake? or a fake of the fake? or the fake of the fake of the fake.... ah, the horror, lol.

and here's how the real thing looks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S5nvJUBFRA

yup. fuck that shit. the russians at least take some truth and verifiable facts mixed with the plausibly deniable lies to build a narrative.
this is here is just simply fucking criminal in every sense of the word.

- ironically or paradoxially, the middle east and people there (whether muslim, jewish, druze, bedouin, etc.) seem a whole lot saner, particularly in their everyday interactions compared to the west, where the neurosis/psychosis spectrum reigns.

It depends on a lot of things. First of all, no Israeli mainstream political party engages in Muslim appeasement (I am not considering Meretz as a mainstream party). And secondly, the Syrians have lived for decades under the secular regime of Assad. The population there is quite moderate, at least when compared to the other Arabs.

yeah, it does depend on a lot of things.
unless i've missed something, i think all israeli mainstream parties are from the center right.
and for a good reason.
the whole dynamics there are different.
and yeah, assad may be a creep, but it ain't an easy task to keep that shit together.
read somewhere that persia/iran, after three thousand years of ethnic reconciliations (and the occasional genocide) eventually decided to make up a 2 million man army and simply occupy themselves, so to speak.

Your reference notes problems with post facto analysis of history which I agree with, and I think you and I agree that the poster I responded to has it wrong.

He postulates a "single mover theory" of history in which Mohammed was responsible for "breaking the perpetual cycle of endemic warfare."

Not only has such a thing not happened in general, but if it had in some regions, there would be various diverse causes.

ok, that's better - i agree i didn't well enough explain myself.

strangely, since i been in asia my vocabulary and manner of expressing myself has deteriorated a bit.
when people don't understand what i try to say too often i try to use simpler/more common english words and thus...

no time to try learning chinese yet unfortunately.

Because most representatives of the Muslim religion are prone to terrorism and violence. Although among them there are spiritually developed and kind people.

Most of muslim representatives in the middle eastern countries that are devastated by war or in countries where theocracy reins...
We have muslims in Serbia and I've never heard that there was any kind of crime, even less a terrorist attack, comited by them...
Shortly, war makes the worst of people.

i lived an year in israel, the negev desert near gaza.
know people who lived or had spent time in iran, egypt, lebanon, lybia... - even syria before the war broke out (not to mention encountered some syrians in the last half an year and those i met strike me as quite secular and what's even more of a surprise - well educated and speaking good to perfect english).
what i can tell from personal experience and encounters is that:

- ironically or paradoxially, the middle east and people there (whether muslim, jewish, druze, bedouin, etc.) seem a whole lot saner, particularly in their everyday interactions compared to the west, where the neurosis/psychosis spectrum reigns.

- the middle east is really a different world, one that cannot be judged by one's external standards that are mostly derived from media and inability to interpret events and causal relationships of what affects what and how.... not to mention it being a mosaic of ethnicities and ethno religious groups (many of which quite ancient), and a whole lot of them just nominally muslim and largely secularized. but most people just see them as 'muslims', 'sand niggers', and can't recognize a kurd from a saudi or a syrian from an iraqi...

and yeah, i'm balkan too, i know what you mean and that's what i wanted to point to as well.
you even have muslim matriarchical societies somewhere in africa, lol.
at the same time, statistically speaking, it seems that most crimes (and by crimes i mean the really criminal shit, like those fuckers in sweden that raped a girl for 3 hours proudly live streaming it on facebook and so on..) are committed by muslims coming from places like pakistan, somalia, etc.
when i hear some of the stories from friends and acquaintances living in germany, what germany allows there, i am shocked.
and if we keep up this way of thinking, of either/or, black or white, either with us or with the terrorists, that dialectic only perpetuates things one way - from worse, to worse...

If the ideology causes otherwise sane people do horrible things, I blame the ideology.

Islamic terrorists are the victims of that ideology.

Stop pretending it is not true.  Nazism, Communism, or Racism are all wrong and are banned in most countries.

Now it is time to ban religion, Islam in particular.

Last prophet my ass.  He was a war monger, opportunist.  He needed a strong ideology to help him manage the ever expanding empire.

you might get a better understanding of what i am trying to relay if you stop thinking of things in terms of -isms and read up on some historiography and literature.

judgments and opinions don't really give any insight or understanding, but neither will i argue.
it's up to you what you decide to think, what statements to make and how much to educate yourself and in what departments.

i don't hate islam.
it's too conveniently simplistic to view islam as 'the problem'.

which is not to say it doesn't have its problematic aspects.
there's only one final prophet there, mohammed - full stop and end of story.

but the historical trajectory there is such that mohammed had to figure out a way to break the perpetual cycle of endemic warfare ....
He didn't, obviously.

how obviously?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historian%27s_fallacy

next thing you know it, you're gonna say cambodia brought it all upon themselves too.

its very convenient to point the finger at a single reason - islam, the jews, the bourgious, the rich, etc...
but that's not how things work, ever.

have you taken a look at the map lately?

what constitutes the 'muslim world'.

and im not implying islam is good or bad, i am saying that this is not the way to formulate it to begin with.

i deposited some BITCOINS by mistake at poloniex that i needed to withdrawal shortly after.
Awaiting Approval 3 days now, I have 3 tickets being PROCESSED and nada.

i use VPN, not always necessarily the same browser and had one account with no activity that i had forgotten about that i linked.

so now, what would it take to speed this all up and have my bitcoins back to my wallet?
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex: Suspending my withdrawals until Level 2 verification. on: March 23, 2017, 11:30:07 AM
ok, so it appears that's why they're holding my coins for 3rd day now.

i also use VPN, not to mention i don't always necessarily use the same browser.

if they ask me to verify i do so, withdrawal whatever and would like to have nothing to do with them further.

which is not to say it doesn't have its problematic aspects.
there's only one final prophet there, mohammed - full stop and end of story.

but the historical trajectory there is such that mohammed had to figure out a way to break the perpetual cycle of endemic warfare and find a way to unify many tribes around some broader meaningful order. he undrstood power very well and did a brilliant job far as that goes, in those times and places, but then - islam is also designed to appeal to the very poor (and thus also uneducated), that have in many cases lived in the mud for centuries, and those are always pretty tough neighborhoods so to speak.

funny enuough, the only 2 descendents of mohammed today are the king of marocco and jordan - both really cool, intelligent, modest, liberal (even somewhat nerdish) in secular (or slowly secularizing) countries.

and then let's not forget that the sunni and shia are fighting it between themselves like the catholics and protestants did back in the day (the 30 year war) - only in this case the stakes are higher and its not enclosed in fortress europe but is quite transcontinental and geopolitical in nature.

15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poll: Which religion is the best religion? on: March 23, 2017, 10:35:51 AM
kind of the second dumbest thing i read today.

religion(s) are not something you grade in terms of better/best.
and neither is philosophy something you're a 'fan' of.

to quote nassim taleb on the matter:

Quote
People rarely mean the same thing when they say "religion", nor do they realize that they don't mean the same thing.
For early Jews and Muslims, religion was law. For early Jews it was also tribal; for early Muslims it was universal. For the Romans religion was social events and festivals (law was separate ). For Jews today religion became ethnocultural, without the law --and for some, a nation. Same for Syriacs, Copts, and Maronites. For Orthodox and Catholic Christians religion is aesthetics, pomp and rituals. For Protestants religion is belief with no aesthetics, pomp or law. For Buddists/Shintoists/Hindus religion is philosophy. So when Hindu talk about the Hindu "religion" they don't mean the same thing to a Pakistani as it would to a Hindu, and certainly something different for a Persian.
People keep talking past each other. When the nation-state idea came about, things got more complicated. When an Arab now says "Jew" he largely means belief; a converted Jew is no longer a Jew. But for a Jew it means a nation.
In Serbia/Croatia, or Lebanon, religion means something at times of peace, and something quite different at times of war.

here in taiwan, people have 3 religions: confucianism, daoism and buddhism. often at the same time. and 3 different kinds of 'temples'.
all three serve different functions and have different purpose.

Government sponsored hacking was started by the CIA and the FBI. The CIA used this, to spy on their enemies and even on their allies. Russia and China are late entrants to this sector, but they have caught up pretty fast.

exactly.

http://thestrategybridge.org/the-bridge/2017/3/8/information-warfare-isnt-russian-its-american-as-apple-pie

and american tactics in those departments, be that hacking or misinformation, are still to me most despicable.

russia and china are doing what any russia or china would.

Must I register again ? Because you changed domains or just use the same login info ?
You don't need to register again, you can use your same log-in details to continue browsing that forum.

The site is secured you can change the url address from http to https.

Admin should redirect it to the https url, I checked the site and it is indeed in https connection. The problem I see why http is seen is the link provided by the one who posted the site but it should be fixed by redirecting http connection to https since https is also available for the site.

i think i am entirely missing the point here.

i'm redirected to a simple boards site, not in any way special than any other, obviously less secure, for... what exactly?
having fractions of the cent drip for me posting and wasting my time there.
i might be mistaken, but it doesn't strike me as particularly viable or appealing, sorry.

it might have had, had the people who run it gotten their shit together BEFORE announcing it.

but feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

I'm Malaysian, but I always hope that I can stay in Taiwan when I can travel whole world without worries my income.

my gf is taiwanese.
i'm bulgarian.
know this and that about indonesia, but very little about malaysia tbh.
taiwan seems to have attained that degree of what i'd call 'comfortable wealth' tho, for sure.
but ridiculously stubborn when it comes to anything too foreign or new (cryptocurrencies/bitcoin, weed, etc..)

I would  prefere some island... nothing to fancy like Sicily.

recently read that sicily is known among some sociologists as an 'assabiya black hole' - namely, a place that due to historical circumstances not much meaningful cooperation between people can emerge or sustain itself for long, and is thus dead weight for anybody unfortunate enough to have it in its jurisdiction. it was mentioned alongside afghanistan, somalia and etc... personally, idk. couldn't care so much about italy. I don't consider a place where people have lots of guns and they count it as a normal thing, this is USA, while European countries are safer.

not sure i entirely agree that guns are so much the issue.
maybe its rather something to do with the fact that in the US you can buy a gun, fill out your antipsychotics prescription and buy a bottle of everclear all in the same place.

my boyfriend always say norway now im curious to go there! haha
but me somewhere in Europe just don't where!

grim, cold weather all the time, sparsely populated ghost towns, everybody just gets drunk home, high rate of suicides... just because its rich doesn't mean its nice, especially to live there.

i prefer a poorer country with relaxed laws, good weather, beaches, decent food and foreign cultures one can learn something else than what he already knows from.

i live in the US. i want out. so far my top spots are new zealand and australia. i also keep hearing alot of good things about sweden, switzerland, and norway. we live in a big world and i know other people would like to be in places i have not even considered yet so i'm kinda curious to hear what you guys think.

i've lived a number of different countries for longer periods of time...
any place has their advantages and disadvantages, pluses and minuses (often even their best aspects are just side effects of their worst..)

czech republic is pretty much your euro-libertarian paradise.
spent 3.5 years there.

denmark sucked (but some would disagree) and i don't like scandinavia.
hated the netherlands too. even the kids are jerks there... and i'm not big into debauchery and that perverse liberal freedom of theirs that takes place in a disneyland prison for adults.

bulgaria, which is where i originally come from is also arguably the worst place on the balkans you can happen to live in (but its still, for me, nowhere near as bad as the UK, NL, DK...)

currently in taiwan, which way i feel it its like they've taken the best of all worlds (chinese, japanese, western/european..) and secluded themselves on an amazingly beautiful island... its pretty good and really comfortable, but also bit conservative in some weird if not slightly irrational ways.

and i'm headed southeast asia soon, where i really had been planning to settle for the long haul in the past 4 years.

Now a days, which Anti virus is best ?

none.
secured *nix box.
win itself is bloatware, malware, etc. pre-packaged as an OS even before you 'catch' any virus.
