ORDER #3535
got the standard. Have raspberry pi

Yeah we had so much trouble with those we started epoxying the jack to the board. Yours must be an early batch. I'll take care of it.
edit - Definitely an early batch, because we also put a notch in the case punchout to help accomodate the end of the cord and yours doesn't have that either. Your serial number must be like '1'.
I have 2 burned PCIe ports. I need to ship to you for repair.

running the pw through 220v pdu
breakout board was 12.4 v
Now using GS Breakout board.

Has anyone have burnt ports on R606? I have 4 and have 2 burnt PCIE ports, They are running on server ps with breakout board.
|
|
|
That sounds pretty good. I wouldn't go over 750Mhz though, per sidehacks suggestion.
I have 4 running on your breakout board now. I was using a different model, all 4 ports were burnt out. On two units the pcie ports are damaged.

|
I would take one powerful one. thanks for your hard work on projects.

I have 4 running from Pi 4 4gb. they are all doing 800mhz over 1TH each.
Nice I sent one back to 419mining that was flaky.
I use server ps with breakout board.

Right now we're packing up the shop. The last units built in our current location are currently on the tester and will be dispatched to a reseller next week. The first truckload of tools and materials rolls out in the morning.
Good news is, stuff for the next batch is already on order. Most of it's already here. Production will start in the new shop not long after Thanksgiving. I recently redesigned the PCB so the new batch units will be quicker to assemble and quicker to test and verify, so that's good for you guys.
Thank goodness, hopefully the new products can be out in new shop. Nua

The 600MHz neighborhood is also where USB runs out of steam on a bandwidth/framerate scale if you're not running ASICBoost. If you're not connected to an AB-enabled pool, it won't matter if you have it running off a Cray, you won't get much more than about 800GH.
GS miners all have an Arctic Silver ceramic white thermal paste applied, so whatever they recommend for lifetime.
PI4 using the USB3 getting 800mhz 1th on both on one PI4.

Curious how that U10 looks exactly like my 2Pac. Do they have unique serial numbers or did they just steal my configs straight across like TTBit did? I've not seen one in person.
they copied your design.. fucken Chinese.

I have a Pi4 with 4gb, run 2 r606 at 800mhz over 2Tb.
I updated kernel 64bit as was suggested. Pi4 works faster.

With as much as has been tried, it most likely is a bad machine. The BM1387 ASICs are really difficult to reliably solder with the equipment I have. Pins are sub-quarter-millimeter dimensions which means virtually zero solder, and the comparably massive belly pads can cause lift. Took us about six months of trial and error to find a stencil profile, placement method and reflow oven speed/temp profile that worked satisfactorily, but it's not perfect. It's basically an exacerbation of the same issue we had with R606, where there'd be pad contact or, at best, an unreliable solder joint, while testing that then gets disconnected once conditions change after some burn-in by the customer, resulting in dropped chips.
I'll keep making R606 and testing as strenuously as I can before releasing, but unfortunately until we start using a different, better ASIC in a new version, this is going to keep happening to a percentage of pods.
can't wait to see what Asic is coming.

I'd guess it was frodocooper being overzealous again. That guy's been problematic since he started as a mod.
Additionally, weird your pod is dropping out. They're all tested for 12 chips and run at 550MHz at V5 or lower for 24 hours before getting sent out. Each one is tested in various ways both before and after that burn-in, meaning it gets plugged in and run for various durations at least four times.
If it refuses to operate right despite a good controller, good power and all that, talk to the seller about warranty replacement. The seller probably can give you startup and testing advice also.
My two are doing 800 mhz. sweet.

New setup on Pi4 4 GB with new cgminer I was able to sudo nano /root/.cgminer/cgminer.cofig, you have to be logged in as root.

I have two P4s installed new cgminer to the 4gb one and now I have both running at 700mhz sweet lord I have finally done it.
