3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 30, 2017, 06:29:43 AM
They released 2 L3+ batches for sale. Amazing, it ships far out. Early & Late March.

Shocked  You didn't oversell, that is amazing.  3+ months, at this stage of life?  Either the L3+ is going to stay on top longer than I imagined, or some folks are gonna be super pissed when they see the next gen announced around the time they get a shipping notification for their gear.

ltc price going up and its time to put couple of batch LOL

Anyway, I also have 15 coupon to sales with $60 each. Escrow if you need more comfortable trade and the fee pay by you

What are the coupon restrictions, can I use more than one at a time, is there a minimum purchase amount?

5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: S9 for $1000?---IS Alibaba a safe site to buy bitcoin machines from? on: October 09, 2017, 08:11:01 PM
Like everyone has said it is a big risk unless you can pay with credit card. Most of these sellers only accept wire transfer or bitcoin.

More than likely they do not include the PSU. Another factor to consider is fast they ship.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger altcoins on: October 09, 2017, 04:21:07 PM
Im curious on how you add apps to the nano s?

Are these just apps listed on their website/servers or are their other apps not listed on ledger website that can be added?
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges for alt coins and where to trade new ones? on: October 09, 2017, 04:08:00 PM
i want to trade xrp where can i find it being traded?

My go to place to see where coins are being traded is coinmarketcap.com.
I search for the coin then click on the markets tab and you will see the list of exchanges.

XRP is on many exchanges if you search on coinmarketcap.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: October 09, 2017, 03:52:04 PM
These withdraw issues are very worrisome considering they admitted to a server compromise, "wallets not compromised" according to hashnest,  not too long ago and asked everyone to update their passwords.

History shows, that it is not unusual for platforms that had wallets compromised try to buy some time to remedy the sitiuation and replenish wallets.

I'm not saying this is what hashnest is doing but the pattern here is eerily similar to hacks in the past.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: got my nano ledger on: October 06, 2017, 11:53:05 PM
I got a ledger nano s and a few trezor's.

They are the best for security. Make sure you use a pin code, back up your 24 words passphrase and keep the phrase off line.

Good luck!
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is more reliable? A mobile wallet or an online wallet? on: October 06, 2017, 11:43:16 PM
Choose mobile wallet. I would recommend you to use Mycelium on your Android. Mycelium is a lightweight wallet that gives you full control of your private key (it requires you to back up your private key). Online wallet usually does not. Look blockchain.info online wallet for example, AFAIK you can't access your private key, only some backup phrases or something. If you don't own the address private key = you don't own the Bitcoin in that address. Storing your BTC in online wallet also means giving someone else (the online wallet service provider) control of your Bitcoin.

So, stick to desktop or mobile wallet that give you (and only you) full control of your Bitcoins.

Myetherwallet is great as an online UI for browser side Ethereum blockchain interaction that does not store your keys.

Here is a resource wallet I got from @HabBear and my reply.
 from another post.

No one here can tell you which wallet is the best. There are too many variables that require personal opinion for you to rely on anyone else's opinion.

What we can do though, is provide you with a site that reviews nearly all (if not all) cryptocurrency wallets. This site ranks the wallets, provides assessments of features, lists the currencies accepted, among other items.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/#/overview

Good luck to you.

Wow this is a great resource. So many options.  Thank you.
I personally prefer the security of hardware wallets, specifically ledger nano s and Trezor, for larger amounts of crypto.
Ill use Jaxx, mycelium, as my back pocket carry around wallets, and Exodus as a supplement.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good project? on: October 06, 2017, 11:13:05 PM
you must look into a lot of aspects but the main ones are

1) team (real or not, investigate)
2) whitepaper
3) product (finished or not)
4) use case for product
5) cap and token sale details

I am sure there are few more but those are most important

To add to this:

6) Does the project require a blockchain or is just a money grab
7) Is the project unique or is just another clone of something already out
Cool

As for as profit if you only want to make 10-20% if you get in early you can dump as soon as they hit an exchange.
If you want to make 10x roi you may need to wait 1 year.

You can also just wait for it get on an exchange and wait for it's price to drop, the price always drops,  and get it at a discount.

FYI
Full disclosure I am the CTO of the BlockRx.com project. ICO live now.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you track your portfolio? on: October 06, 2017, 06:24:50 PM
People use different kinds of trackers. It just depends on your personal preference. Try these out, then go for the one you prefer the most:

Blockfolio app: Android PlayStore | Apple iTunes
AltPocket: https://altpocket.io
CoinTracking: https://cointracking.info
CryptoCompare: https://www.cryptocompare.com/portfolio/
CryptoFolio: https://cryptfolio.com

yeah I like blockfolio. Ill have to check these other options.

Thanks for sharing.  Smiley

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good time to get into crypto? on: October 06, 2017, 05:49:38 PM
I was mining bitcoin back in 2011 but lost my wallet/gave up etc etc...

Is it still worthwhile getting back into crypto?

If you mean getting back into mining -- may be worth it, but will depend on your electricity price and require a lot of commitment.

If mean getting back into crypto in general -- it's always worthwhile to get back into crypto. Just watch out for scammy ICOs, useless alts and other questionable investments.

Agreed its always a good time to get back into crypto on longs you a Hodl  Cheesy

Mining is always tricky especially if you 're not willing to reinvest in hashing and have plans for scaling up.

Mycellicum is great for bitcoin and it interacts with hardware wallet trezor and ledger nano s with an android and micro usb otg cable.  Jaxx is ok multi crypto mobile wallet and they have online version.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: April 27, 2017, 12:18:01 PM
I been in since the ico I just cant access my bitcointalk og account.

I been trying to ride the wave. It looks like its one person or group dumping. Everytime the price recovered they would dump. I think it will recover and now is probably a good time to accumulate.
