https://www.ccn.com/only-another-four-million-bitcoin-will-be-mined-heres-why/amp/

Bitcoin is rare . Just only 4 million left to be mined. Is this the reason why , the price increase?  Need to know your opinion too.

Yes, without scarcity there is no need for any price.  Hence, why air, unpurified water, light, are close to valueless even though they are very useful.
2  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying 20 Bitcoin with LBTC (LightningBitcoin) 50% off futures prices on: February 27, 2018, 04:28:45 AM
I will escrow.
3  Economy / Currency exchange / Selling 2500 LBTC (Bitcoin Fork) Selling at good discount from Futures Prices on: February 23, 2018, 01:08:02 AM
I would like to use an escrow for this trade.

Once we agree upon a trustworthy escrow you can send them your BTC and the LBTC address you'd like me to send to.  Then they can release the BTC funds once you've received LBTC.  I would prefer breaking this up into a few trades.

Current futures prices are around 0.03, I am willing to sell a lot less than that.

If you send me a pm I can provide proof of funds and we can work out a price.

4  Other / Meta / Re: I've still got 80 sMerit to give away. on: February 07, 2018, 03:59:01 AM
I do not think it is appropriate to be a rating tool. I believe this is a tool to improve the quality of forums. It's really up to the members to use it to help direct the flow of writing. So far it seems to be used to "appreciate" ghosts in the past, and to help sig campaign members to "rank" to increase the size of their banners. Because of this abuse, I think the good points can only be given alone, which reduces a bit of the offense. Merits will cause nothing but problems for forum users and admins. We have allready seen members being accused of selling merits to other members. When I used to run forums (not crypto forums) I tried the merit sytem out and the emails from users claiming that this person or that person sold merits got so bad I disabled it in

I'm leaving myself open here to another attack by you-know-who. Smiley

This is my account on another forum. Every member has the ability to "like" a post, and he can like every post on the forum if he wants to, but that wouldn't really be productive. If I analyse my likes, it gives me a very good idea of public opinion and approval in the forum. Because a member can only give one like to a post and it is public, it gives me a lot of encouragement to make what I consider to be helpful and informative posts, especially when the like comes from a senior and experienced member.

I've contributed nothing but shitposted tons.   I've been shitposting for days now, never got any merit, so I think this system is working well.

I suppose you would need a dislike button to really gauge public approval.  What you're proposing with the "likes" is sort of like only being able to long an asset.  To get the true prevailing bias you need to be able to short it as well.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1btc = 6k usd on: February 07, 2018, 03:43:42 AM
Was very busy with my work today, then suddenly i decided to check the price of btc if its starting to rise again. But then, i was shocked when i saw its price which is almost 6,000 usd. What will happen to bitcoin's price tomorrow or the next weeks to come? Will it continue to drop or will increase a little? Why is this happening? Thats a very huge drop.

Panic selling.  Just HODL.
6  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] USERS THAT ARE ABUSING MERIT SYSTEM on: January 27, 2018, 11:44:20 PM
Im a bit confused about the merit rules. Are they allowed to be traded?  Also, why can you say that a post didn't deserve X merit?  Is it not in the right of the giver to choose?

Those are all honest questions so, please dont feel as though im attacking you.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a person died with BTC!! on: January 27, 2018, 03:46:44 PM
What will happen??

No one will have the BTC address. Hence will them isolated?

In FIAT, people can handover money to someone.. So, i predict BTC will be disappeared gradually.
It's none of your business, though... If that person owns number of bitcoins then it us up to him to secure the passwords and hand it over to his/her spouse just in case he dies... BUT if he doesn't feel like doing so, its none of your problems. If that is a huge amount of BTC then that's going to be a huge HODL! ha ha! Come on, man... don't waste your time with these kind of silly questions. Read some REAL articles in bitcoins so you'll get wealthy anytime soon.

The exception to this is when quantum computing or some other danger/risk becomes real.  Lost/stolen bitcoins will be "redeemed" by hackers.  Not by their intended recipients.

If a person with BTC and have a sudden death his/her BTC will still be in the network, unless he/she saves all information about his/her btc on notepad and can be easily access by his/her family. Like me all my online password are save on my pc.

I don't get how that is an "unless."  Bitcoin is always on the network.  Writing the priv keys or a mnumonic down on a piece of paper can't change that.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ETZ]EtherZero - Fork 1:1 of Ethereum | 0 TX Fee | Masternode | 10000+ TPS on: January 27, 2018, 03:34:10 PM

What wallets can receive etherzero directly? IM and Atoken wallet can support EtherZero Candy, the other wallets need to add costum node to MEW and get ETZ.

Welcome to the official announcement thread of EtherZero!

**Please do not follow any link here given by any members. It has came across some of them are giving fake links and website. You may lose your EtherZero or even Ethereum.**

Fork height: 4936270th block
Time: Jan 20th 2018 GMT 10:30-12:30
Total suppy: 194million=97million from hard fork+97million for reservation
The 97million from reservation is divided in to:
Pre-sale 20million: 1ETH= 3300 ETZ, will be locked for 4 terms, unlock 20% every 20 days
Reserved: 77million
Total supply 194million/ 11700=1.65, so the presale changed from 1:200/133 to 1:3300, which would provide larger possible profit for our early investors.
Those who already invested in EtherZero would get the same ratio as now, that is 1ETH= 3300 ETZ.

EtherZero has been imitated, and set up by evil scammers since it started gaining momentum. However, we gained the trust from our supporters and Justice will definitely defeat the evil, we will move on.

Since the forking is about to start very soon, EtherZero team sincerely ask if those famous trade platforms are willing to take a snapshot of EtherZero, and we sincerely invite our EtherZero fans to retweet our hope and @those platforms. The success of EtherZero need the support of all of you. If you believe and support us, push us a little bit to make us reach the top!

WHERE DO I NEED TO KEEP MY ETH TO GET ETZ AFTER FORK???
keep eth in any wallet that gives you access to your private key e.g Please make sure to use wallet such as MEW, Meta Mask, Blockchain.info, Ethereum Wallet, Mist, Pair, JAXX, Ledger Wallet, TREZOR or token.im wallet, etc that you can export the Private Key, Keystore or Mnemonic Phrase to keep ETH. or in an exchange which supports the fork. e.g shuzibi.com cointobe.com. https://bit.ly/octoinglobal,  token.im .. and YoBit
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO APART FROM HOLDING ETH?

What is EtherZero(ETZ)?
EtherZero (ETZ) is a new generation of smart contract development platform launched by a group of professional DAPP developers to meet DAPP development. It is a hard forked project based on Ethereum framework. The Ethereum's traditional gas fee system is abandoned by the EtherZero, which makes the transaction of each transaction, including those in the smart contract, costs 0 transaction fee. We think that only 0 transaction fee of DAPP can truly fall to the ground and meet people's daily use needs.

In addition to the core characteristics of the 0 transaction fee, EtherZero introduces and extends the Masternode from Dash, which enhances the endogenous economic system of EtherZero, which can effectively stabilize and raise the price of this coin, and can effectively manage the community.

The network layer of Ethernet is composed of two level network: Master Node network and traditional PoW node network: Master Node network is responsible for transaction verification, PoW network is responsible for block packing and synchronization. The unique double-layer network structure of EtherZero make Instant Pay function was supported by smart contract, which does not need to wait for more than a dozen pieces of block confirmation (minutes to dozens of minutes).

At the same time, because the network structure using this feature, the EtherZero will be able to support thousands of, tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands transaction per second(TPS). Although the  Dash coin could achieve the same TPS, but EtherZero support Turing complete smart contract, so that it can support the development of a wider range of DAPP.

What is the total supply of ETZ?

ETZ will have a total supply of 194 million.

To ensure DDOS protection with 0 fees, we temporarily formulate the following rules, later may modify a little according to the situation:

1.Only when the account balance equal or larger than 0.1 ETZ can the trade be started.

2.Only when the account balance larger than 10 ETZ can the smart contract be built, to build the smart contract costs certain amount ETZ like 0.1 ETZ, the interaction between users and smart contract is free.

3.Use a brand new trade pool technology, limit the trade amount of one account in the same block, when the trade amount beyond a certain number, the user need to wait to the next block height to start trade again.

4.The algorithm limited the usable trade, calculation, reservation resource etc of an account, which are in direct proportion to the account balance.

5.After the Masternode system put in work, we will also add more intelligent Instant limit protocols and algorithms.

The EtherZero fork has been successfully launched on block 4936270, now we are testing in the real circumstances, will release the blockchain explorer as soon as possible for people to check and follow EtherZero fork schedule to do our next job. Thank you all for your support! Now EtherZero already been supported by yobit.net
You can trade on:

Claim etz tutorial for all possible wallets:http://etherzero.org/tutorials/

Is this trading on any exchanges?

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Paper Wallet? on: January 27, 2018, 02:58:28 PM
Method of storing bitcoins offline on a piece of paper that holds
hai the private key và địa chỉ địa chỉ.
A type of cold wallet, used to store offline bitcoins printed on paper. The printed information consists of two parts. One is the public address of the wallet, which is used to let other people see and receive the bitcoin. The rest of you are the secret key used to consume bitcoin.

The strength of a paper purse is that your secret key is not stored anywhere on the internet, absolutely safe from the internet. But if you make the bile or wallet fall into the hands of others, you will permanently lose the bitcoins that are stored in your wallet.

got to bitadresss.org

It's a wallet that is made out of paper.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: January 27, 2018, 02:53:45 PM
Bitcoin has been impressive in a lot of ways since it's beginning but the one thing that blew me out the most was the ideology. A foolproof peer to peer online transaction system based on blockchain technology was just a beautiful set of works executed and implemented by Satoshi and no wonder it has already made its mark in every field it is being used in.

The protocol may be foolproof in some ways, but when you have people spending 1 BTC out of a 8000 utxo and paying a 7999 BTC fee it makes you wonder.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I would rather have paper money then Bitcoin on: January 27, 2018, 02:28:50 PM
This is going to come to a surprise to many on here, but at the moment I'd rather have paper (US FIAT) money. It's something that I would be able to actually use in my life with ease, and even though I love crypto and everything I have to be honest about what I think and see.

Plus for the fact that if i was to have bitcoin right now, I'd be paying a very high amount in fees if I wanted to actually end up using this money.

BTC is pretty liquid.  What if you could have 10% more BTC than paper money?

I wonder what will happen to BTC price day before the last bitcoin (21 million) will be mined?
Would love to hear your opinions

nothing.  It will be baked in.

Actually, let me rephrase:   Expect normal volatility.  Whatever that is in 2140.

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get someone to trust in Bitcoin. on: January 27, 2018, 06:09:31 AM
Hi everyone,
Cryptocurrencies are booming, and is a good idea to get into it now. A friend of mine watched a documentary about Bitcoin and saw the negative news. Afterwards, he is completely stuck and will not trust in any online payments, especially any cryptocurrencies. What do I need to do to get him back to normal again? Anyone have positive news about Bitcoin that I can let him know?
Thanks

"Trust in Numbers"  Its a trustless set up from the point of humans.  Theoretically, you only need to trust algorithms.  This space (minus ethereum) is all about unstoppable code
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Would you trust a brand new computer for creating a paper wallet? on: January 27, 2018, 05:58:14 AM
I know we all get paranoid at times, but would you trust an "in-box" computer with creating your private keys?

This seems to be the minimal amount of trust required.  Unless you happen to have an untampered pc from before BTC was conceived in 2008.
