1  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info stole from my wallet 175$ on: September 15, 2017, 10:04:58 AM
as it turns out...

I sent out all my btc from blockchain wallet to another wallet because I got scared!
As soon as I sent it out... the amounts in RED changed to GREEN, but it still showed "SENT" in red (on the left)... so it was mixed up completely!
I re-logged and everything was back to normal! All the sends appear to have been a glitch, I assume because of the high volume of sell off today and yesterday! This does NOT give me a lot of confidence in this wallet.

I have the same problem with blockchain.info wallet today...

lots of weird "Sent" transactions in my ledger... for example:

"$18.43 sent to 14 recipients"
"$24.16 sent to 2 recipients"
"$62.99 sent to 16 recipients"

I did NOT send these transactions myself!

Blockchain.info has ALSO raised their BTC sending fees like CRAZY... here's the message I got when trying to send my balance today (about .5 btc)

This is an oversized bitcoin transaction!

Your wallet needs to consolidate many smaller payments you've received in the past. This requires a relatively high fee in order to be confirmed quickly.

4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: **CEX.IO Bitcoin Exchange ** Buy Bitcoins with Cards in iOS / Android App*** on: June 25, 2017, 04:10:01 PM
@Monsterr or anybody who has sucesfully withdrawn money to a payment card:

What VISA cards are you guys using? - Like what bank or service provider has issued them?

I'm asking since mine is "not working" accoring to cex.io and I'm looking for an alternative.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm using a VISA card that worked for several withdrawals in May, but it was spotty.. it would work, then get rejected, then work, then finally all attempts were rejected after June 1.

CEX.io support is terrible because they continue to blame the problem on my bank (and I've already confirmed that there is no evidence of attempts to make a deposit that was EVER rejected by the bank--CEX.io is merely making excuses when they can't find the real problem on THEIR end). I also received a few separate replies stating that I needed to get my card verified... a really silly attempt to close the support tickets since the card was already verified. I've already taken my business elsewhere, but I wish they would get it together at CEX.IO because the payment card withdrawal is a great service, if ONLY it worked reliably, and the support staff knew what they were doing.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Bye Bye Localbitcoins wallet! on: June 19, 2017, 03:10:03 PM
New fee structure started today. Here's the news article about it:
https://news.bitcoin.com/localbitcoins-new-fee-structure/

I received (what was supposed to be) a $20 transaction to my localbitcoins wallet, and was charged a little more than $1.40 "deposit fee". The sender paid over $2.00 fee to send. This seems pretty excessive considering the small amount being sent.

Aaaand... I'm switching wallets Tongue

Does anyone believe it's a good idea to wait this out?

My situation is that I have some USD sitting on my CEX.io ledger, and withdrawal attempts to a verified payment card are being rejected for no apparent reason. My last successful withdrawal was on June 1. There are no responses from support. I could possibly buy bitcoin on their trading platform and withdraw to another wallet (I see one reply here that btc withdrawals are working fine). Does that seem like a good idea? Or does anyone have any recent information from a support rep that would help me feel better about waiting this out?

Why dont you ask this question from support? There is a live chat window which you can use after logging in your account. IMO  something isnt right with your card issuer because few days ago i exchanged my bitcoins  to cash and withdraw to my verified card.Did you test your card for other payments? If you dont need money urgently try to talk support and solve problem.

As I've stated, I have sent MULTIPLE messages to support, and they do not answer. My card issuer is not the problem because it was working fine previously, and they have no evidence of attempts to make deposits...they are not rejecting the deposits. The Live Chat window does not work... they are offline, and have been for over a week now. You say "a few days ago"... well... then... I suppose they don't want my business for some reason, but are unwilling to give me a reason. Very bad way to conduct business. I have nothing to hide, and they verified everything about my identity. OTHERS are saying they have the same problem. And YOU are the first person to make a positive comment about cex.io in a long time!

IMO they frozed deposit/withdrawal options for some regions/countries. Maybe they dont answer your emails due to non-business days. Also they announced problems with some email providers:
Code:
You may experience delays while receiving emails to yahoo.com. This could be a temporary issue at your email service provider's end.
I dont have any interest or will not gain  from promoting their service.  I hope  you will find answers to your questions regarding card issues. Please check this links:

https://support.cex.io/hc/en-us/articles/115007853387--RESOLVED-Maintenance-Card-Deposits-and-withdrawals-

I had no trouble making deposits and exchanging BTC to USD and vice versa. I have already decided to buy BTC with my USD balance and transferred my btc to another wallet successfully. I just won't be using their exchange anymore... at least until they answer my tickets!

Can't possibly be a problem with yahoo email address, since I receive their "finalerts" and their automatic "support request received" instantly to my yahoo inbox. But I have decided to drop the use of yahoo email... should have done that long ago. I looked over the support articles a while ago... they were created before the problem began for me, and for others.

If they are being rejected automatically, then maybe it has something to do with daily/monthly limits for your account level?  Huh

absolutely not... I haven't come close to the limits... and they have onscreen indicators to show your available withdrawal amounts and limits. This is NOT the problem

12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are there ANY decent exchanges? on: June 08, 2017, 06:10:59 PM
Can anyone say they have ONE decent exchange they are using to sell their Bitcoin and withdraw fiat? Or is this just completely impossible? It seems there is nothing but problems, and more problems, scams and more scams. I would appreciate something positive from ONE person who can say they are exchanging their Bitcoin to fiat without any troubles lately. Thanks

It's possible but my known exchange who have that feature can't applied to your country since all their withdrawal options to fiat are based on our country's bank services and remittance centers.

Try using Coinbase and see if your country is supported. And what decent you are talking about? Complaints are part of all exchanges since many people have different perspective and likes. What you need to do is to find an operational exchange which gives you a less hassle way to convert your bitcoin and not finding an exchange with no complaints. It's like saying all exchange must be perfect because you want that. If you have a thinking like then you are still unripe here in cryptocurrency world.

I can accept that last sentence without an ounce of discouragement, seriously... I just thought maybe there would be one person who could say a certain exchange has provided a reliable platform with reasonable fees and customer support for selling their bitcoin and getting a bank transfer... even if it takes the customary 5 days for a SWIFT transfer... anything else seems pretty sketchy...and so my feeling is that a lot of these exchanges are taking advantage of bitcoin sellers for big profit... I assume this is what must be tolerated.

Bittrex is probably one of the best out there. I have good experiences with Cryptopia and C-CEX too btw, although they are just smaller exchanges. And I am ashamed to say I like Yobit too, haha.

I only see complaints about bittrex on this forum. Are you selling bitcoin and withdrawing USD or EUR with bittrex?

Bittrex doesn't have any fiat gateways, you can only trade between cryptos not directly with any real world currency. I don't know where you see complaints though its the smoothest exchange out there and never had any lag issues.

look at the posts here at the end of the thread... nothing but problems reported
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463202.0

And if the site doesn't allow me to sell bitcoin for USD and then withdraw to a bank account (like you can on CEX.io), then I'm not really interested in the exchange at all.

Are you looking to change to USD, EUR or another currency?

BTC > USD would be preferable, but I would also be happy to do BTC > EUR. My bank can handle deposits of either currency.

17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what is your experience at CEX.io ? on: June 08, 2017, 11:58:19 AM
I have used CEX.io for a little over a month. About a week ago they took their "live chat" feature offline. At the same time, all my withdrawal requests to a VERIFIED payment card have been rejected, and I try every day. I've submitted several tickets without a single reply. And I know the problem is not with my bank because there is no evidence of any attempts to deposit funds, and they assure me there is no problem with accepting these kinds of payments...if they were ever initiated. My last successful withdrawal of USD to payment card was completed on June 1, 2017. Since then, their support is offline, and all withdrawal requests have been rejected.
18  Economy / Exchanges / Anyone else having trouble with CEX.io support? Payment card withd not working on: June 08, 2017, 10:16:21 AM
I haven't had a successful withdrawal to my verified payment card since June 1, and they are ignoring my support tickets. Anyone else having this kind of problem?
