Cycles do exist, And more ATHs will come. This year, guaranteed!
Still two days to go. Chances are slim for this month, But you never know!
These two together are gold. Here's my TLDR interpretation. I predict that the price of king daddy is guaranteed to reach ATH this year, even though my last prediction did not play out too well. Extension of the idea:
If I keep throwing this gooey stuff at the wall, sooner or later some of it will stick.[...] The only Bitcoin price prediction I consider as accurate and valid is this: - Given enough time, Bitcoin is going up. (a.k.a., "It's going up forever, Laura!").
The natural consequence of the above prediction is this: - Buy when you can, sell when you must.
By applying the above for the last 10 years, I have multiplied my investment by a factor of 57 as of today (i.e., a x57 increase of my fiat wealth). To me, any short-term (less than a cycle) Bitcoin price prediction is for the LULZ and should be treated as such.

Perhaps I should have waited till Sunday to post this, and I haven't tested it a lot yet. I'm also planning to make it modular. Not even really sure what's in there or how it works. It's a little joint between me and AI. It's a work in progress so far. If this URL frightens you, I encourage you not to be frightened. It has the cAPS seal of safety approval. But I don't blame if you don't want to click on it. https://030768.xyz/wohaiku.htmlNice idea, but the two "haikus" it served me were not haikus...

Even if cycles look different, they still are likely to exist, even if they are harder to identify and don't lock into exact time frames (until we look back historically, we are likely going to continue to see cycles for a while - which surely the schedule for the issuance of the new supply of bitcoin likely continues to be a factor, even if coins likely are moving around from other places (an perhaps some paper bitcoin are trying to fill in with some possible danger in regards to playing with fire.. and sure some secret bailouts could be promised if the manipulation does not end up working out... perhaps?
In any event, every time is a bit different until we can look back at it and see that it was not as different as we had hypothesized it to be while we were in the midst of it.
Yes. It only takes a quick glance at the zoomed-out 200-WMA chart, to see that 4-year cycles exist and they are not going anywhere any time soon. Halvings are far too big of a step change in Bitcoin supply to not induce an observable effect in spot and average price variation.

A sunny Sunday. I'll go make some Vit-D soon, But not before this.

You are in the wrong. Just accept it and shut up, Or stay a dickhead!

I wonder what Proudhoun's up to... Too busy to FUD, apparently. This was a funny idea for a thread BTW: Please use this thread to only post confirmed news from confirmed sources to help everyone understand what is obvious - bitcoin is in a downtrend to oblivion. My latest find comes, of course, from official sources in China and details how the Chinese government is planning a massive 99% attack on the blockchain. I'll put the main points below, but anyone can check the facts from the source: 1. Chinese offials delcare bitcoin a global financial virus2. Officials from other nations are in agreement with china China, including the US 3. The Chinese government has millions of petahashes ready to deploy on the blockchain to destroy the protocol 4. In addition to attacking the blockchian, China will sell all their mined bitcoins on MtGoxIt's obvious bitcoin has gone as far as it can go, but any other thoughts about this devastating news? A mega-pump happening today, and nutildah shall be crowned the new proudhon!

[quoted posts edited out]
I hate it when I am building a high end Pc and the ram specs good yet it does not work in the mobo. Well even though btc is down a bit at least silver went up a bit.
I can relate. It happened to me in 2008, in a very high-end DIY PC build ($$$$). Mobo didn't like the memory. Bought another set of sticks, which were certified by the mobo manufacturer, which worked fine. Eventually I used the "bad" RAM on another build, but I remember the feeling when the thing kept crashing on me...

"The grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for." ~George Washington Burnap, [ The sphere and duties of woman : a course of lectures] I translated this into geometric form - "The Triangle of Happiness" This one approximates philipma1957's triangle. Important correction: BC side should be "some thing.to.love", not "some one.to.love". Well he got it correct as I have someone.to.love my wife. For you, yes, but it's not what George Washington said...

BTC has utility gold hasn't, like portability, absolute ownership (you can take BTC with you when you die) etc
[...]
That's an interesting property of Bitcoin, that I never really thought about. It's true, you can die and take the keys with you, which is equivalent to making a donation to the Bitcoin community, equally distributed among all BTC holders. Nice! Could be an interesting proof of afterlife, sending the words via Ouija board. No way I'm giving away my words, in this life or the afterlife! The Ouija can expect only 4 letters from my spirit: H, F, S, P. In that order.

It seems to me that we do not have enough details, and if the distance really was 200 yards (meters), then that is a really expert-level kind of shooting, especially with ONLY one shot.
I don't know why people keep repeating this retarded shit. 200 yards is nothing, a child could make that shot as long as they can line up the long rifle. I could literally make that shot at 500 meters in the offhand with a carbine let alone the prone with a long rifle. I remember in my military training, I could consistently land a bullet in the bull's eye circle from up to 500 yds away, using a perfectly adjusted 7.62 mm caliber rifle, with iron sights only (no scope). I can't remember the size of the bull's eye circle though. It's not a difficult shot, but if I was an assassin preparing to take out a political target, I would make sure I'm expertly trained and use sniper-level equipment. I don't know if he aimed at the neck or the head (and missed), but if it was the neck, it was a perfectly executed shot IMHO.

Aha, I guess it's not BIP-39 compatible then.
It is. Always has been. The seed without the passphrase leads to a wallet (call it Wallet A). Adding the passphrase to the (same) seed leads to another wallet (call it Wallet B). Wallets A and B are cryptographically independent, and there is no way to get to one from the other. Any other passphrase you add to the (same) seed leads to Wallet C, D, E, etc. So, Wallet A can be empty (or have a small amount, say, 1 BTC, as a decoy, for $5 wrench attacks), and at the same time Wallet B can have the bulk of your stash (say, 100 BTC). This setup can be used for plausible deniability (you disclose the seed, but not the passphrase -- for more details, see my relevant article here). All this is part of BIP-39, and is compatible with all BIP-39 wallets (Trezor, Ledger, etc.).

Yeah.. that is pretty graphic, and almost impossible to survive, even if there were medics on the spot because it looks like an artery was hit. Condolences. Yeah... That was a brutal scene. Must have been a sniper shot. Media says the shot was fired from 200 yds away. He didn't stand a chance.

Two completely off-topic (and mutually irrelevant) things. Because I'm in a weirdly good mood today. 1. Eat fresh figs. Try them. They taste of heaven and are very good for you. Diabetics should watch out though, as they are (naturally) very sweet. 2. Drop Google Drive and OneDrive, and start using Syncthing. Open-source, free, private, encrypted, secure, powerful, continuous file synchronization program. Just started using it and loving it to bits.
