2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scam Alert, fastcoincard swiftpaycard virtualcardbuy on: January 16, 2021, 01:27:16 PM
hey there ,

let me start with no matter what people tells u, do ur own research before sending in money to the platform , unfortunatly i did my research after i sent the money (face palm) , and when u do send , send a small amount first not like what i did Smiley

What happened: in short , sent btc to fastcoincard  , cant purchase any of their cards , tried to speak to them via FB,ticket,email no answer

Scammers Profile Link:

https://www.swiftpaycard.com/contact.php

virtualnumberbuy.net
swiftpaycardlimited.com
swiftpaycard.net

Amount Scammed: 500$
Payment Method: BTC
Proof of Payment: [redacted]
PM/Chat Logs: well there is no logs since no one answer.
Additional Notes: these 3 platform are being owned by the same scammer in question .

site look exactly the same with the same contact info and same location .

i was looking for a virtual card , and i sent in a hefty amount however cards cant be purchased/order and no response was received for over a week via email/ticket/skype .

be aware of

on top of that , bitcointalk is a good reference search on the forum the name of the store/site  some people might already talked about it.

for more research , who people who made the site (and probably the scammers) are

https://www.bdultrasoft.com/
here the whois https://pastebin.com/bgQA9JYq

they also advertise they made swiftpaycard.com

funny fact is that swiftpaycard as a way to contact them via telegram, however their English is horrible , that indicate that they  are not from the UK Smiley

UPDATE1:
after digging some more,

they have a new site they operate .

happen to u that u got tired to setup each miner in ur small/medium farm ? if yes this script is for u.
in short u wont need to enter the web application of each miner and configure them one by one. its tiring and not so fun when u have 10 20 30 50 miners.
i made a little script that will save u A lot of time.
u configure the script ones as u wish , and then run it, it take 5 seconds to configure ur miner (really only 5 sec)

ssh into ur miner
create a bash file and put the script inside or move it with scp/winscp

give it root permission to edit the files. with chmod 7777 filename.sh

u will need to do some manual modification at start.
u should manual change everything that static that should not change.
for example , pools,netmask,getway,dnsserver, the start of the miner name(hostname) and the start of the ip and the workername.
make sure u have backed up ur settings before if anything goes bad. and u can factory reset https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957

running the script will be

sh filename.sh 1 2 3 4 5

1, is the first worker name
2, is the second worker name
3, is the third worker name
4, hostname
5, ip address.

please notice that the workername will be only the end of it. which mean useraccount.workernamehere, in the script its test.$1 (test = useraccount $1=workername)
if u want to change the password just uncomment the last line and put ur password instead. u can use http://www.md5.cz/ to generate a hash "password" for u.
root:antMiner Configuration:passwordhere = dad8edbc0681a4c03057417c19239983 = root:antMiner Configuration:dad8edbc0681a4c03057417c19239983 < u put this in the script

before uncomment

#/etc/init.d/bmminer.sh restart >/dev/null 2>&1
#/etc/init.d/network.sh
#/etc/init.d/avahi restart > /dev/null

please DO check the files if they are ok.
it should look like this.
/config/bmminer.conf
Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" : "solo.antpool.com:3333",
"user" : "test.1",
"pass" : "123"
},
{
"url" : "stratum.antpool.com:443",
"user" : "test.1",
"pass" : "123"
},
{
"url" : "stratum+tcp://cn.ss.btc.com:3333",
"user" : "test",
"pass" : "123"
}
]
,
"api-listen" : true,
"api-network" : true,
"api-groups" : "A:stats:pools:devs:summary:version",
"api-allow" : "A:0/0,W:*",
"bitmain-use-vil" : true,
"bitmain-freq" : "550",
"bitmain-voltage" : "0706",
"multi-version" : "1"
}

/config/network.conf
Code:
hostname=miner1
ipaddress=10.0.0.1
netmask=255.255.255.0
gateway=10.0.0.200
dnsservers="8.8.8.8"

after checking the files is right. uncomment these 3 commands

will apply the pools settings
/etc/init.d/bmminer.sh restart >/dev/null 2>&1

and this will apply hostname and ip settings.
/etc/init.d/network.sh
/etc/init.d/avahi restart > /dev/null

for a real example that will be
sh script.sh m1 m1 m1 1 1
the result will be
first pool   second pool   third pool     hostname   IP
test.m1    test.m1         test.m1        miner1       10.0.0.1

if u need any help, or u want to report a bug please tell me.
or want to help to make it better welcome ur self to edit and share it

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / automation of setting up ur miners? on: January 19, 2018, 10:30:06 PM
hey there.

UPDATE: first script here.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2788273.msg28619062#msg28619062

i was wondering if their is any automation tools (perhaps in github?) such a batch file or anything else that will allow u to easy setup ur miners,
such pools, changing password (ssh and web), hostname , static ip and so on.

setting up 1 or 2 its ok doing so by the web, but when u got 10,20,30,40 or 100 doing them one by one can be very tiring.

so far, i have track down the files where the web app hold the info.

/config/bmminer.conf holds inside , pool info,frequency,fan speed (need to change permission to write.)

Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" : "solo.antpool.com:3333",
"user" : "test.1",
"pass" : "123"
},
{
"url" : "stratum.antpool.com:443",
"user" : "test.1",
"pass" : "123"
},
{
"url" : "stratum+tcp://cn.ss.btc.com:3333",
"user" : "test",
"pass" : "123"
}
]
,
"api-listen" : true,
"api-network" : true,
"api-groups" : "A:stats:pools:devs:summary:version",
"api-allow" : "A:0/0,W:*",
"bitmain-use-vil" : true,
"bitmain-freq" : "550",
"bitmain-voltage" : "0706",
"multi-version" : "1"
}

/config/network.conf holds , hostname,dhcp/static ip (need to change permission to write.)
incase of dhcp

Code:
hostname=miner1
dhcp=true

or static

Code:
hostname=miner1
ipaddress=10.0.0.1
netmask=255.255.255.0
gateway=10.0.0.200
dnsservers="8.8.8.8"

and for the web password is abit tricky
its inside
/config/lighttpd-htdigest.user

Code:
root:antMiner Configuration:23c2a2d78c0d20ec069097d7d20c4392

the hash "23c2a2d78c0d20ec069097d7d20c4392" is basicly an md5 of "root:antMiner Configuration:root" (with out quote) the :root in  the end is the web password, meaning if u will want to change to 123456 for example the hash would be
"b25ccbf855f9ad50ec0d5fc4cfc88a72" so "root:antMiner Configuration:b25ccbf855f9ad50ec0d5fc4cfc88a72"

in other words the md5 is a sum of "root:antMiner Configuration:PASSWORD"

now that i share all of that , i would like to work with some one with linux experience to create a batch file which will help other to easy setup their miners.

my first idea was to run the batch file from the miner via ssh,
and have couple of options such as.

1,change ur pool
2,set ip and hostname
3,change web password
4,change ssh password

each option will have couple of options
in option 1 we will have most famous pools register so ppl will be able to press 1,2,3,4,5,6... to select which pool they want by pressing one button.
options will be like so

1,stratum.antpool.com:3333
2, stratum.slushpool.com:3333
3,eu.stratum.slushpool.com:3333
4,stratum.f2pool.com:3333
5,stratum.viabtc.com:3333

and so on.

number "x", will be costume and the person will be able to type his own pool if not register.

and then
the worker name.
when writing it onec it will remmber for the next 2 pools (pool 2,3)

the following will be repeating 3 times for each pool (pool 1,2,3)

on the worker name in pool 2,3 the user will have an option to or use the worker name he has put in pool 1 or be able to set a new name.

in option 2 the user will be able to select which static ip he wants and change the hostname. (well its self explanatory)
3,4 self explanatory.

in the end of options 1,2,3,4 the user will have the ability to save the settings he has enter.
so he will be able to quickly load them for other miners, but when loading the settings the user will need to change the ip ,hostname,workername. the option that will pup up when loading the settings will be
set primary number , for example 10
automaticly all the settings will be ready
1, hostanme "miner10"
2, ip (perhaps only the end of the numbers for ex 10.0.0.x) "10.0.0.10"
3, workername "test.10"

this is how i see it to make it easier for every one who want to setup a small miner farm.

perhaps all of this exist and i dont know. ( i would like to hear of such of thing)

tell me guys what u think about the idea, and if any one want to help me create this for the community .

cheers
10  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / As a miner can i decide which block to mine? on: December 21, 2017, 05:19:45 PM
hey ya all,

can i with my miner(s) pick it up and confirmed it?

if yes how?

12  Economy / Service Discussion / How many defective miners have u receive from bitmain on: December 19, 2017, 01:09:00 PM
How many defective miners have u receive from bitmain (Dev-Jan batch)?

Why i am doing it?

i want to see how bitmain is playing with us. for the past month bitmain decide to pump up their revenue by selling Their (products) miners for BCH only.
and sold 3 Batchs in Jan , early Jan batch 1-11 mid Jan batch 12-20 and late batch 21-30, this batch last for soo long, and in my calculation they sold over 100k miners 100-150k++ only in batch of Jan.
(by the way we are in dec19 and early jan batch was sent already)
my guts tells me manufacturing that amount of miners , it cant be done .
so what i am afraid of is that they actualy dont create new miners but more like refurbishing old miners and renewing some and used one.
a friend told me the amount of dead miner on receiving  increased.

so i am opening this thread to see how many dead\defective miners u have received, to answer the question if thats possible .
u can post on this thread like this.

Order batch :
How many miners have i order : (optional)
How many defective miners i received upon arrival :
How many defective board i received upon arrival:
How many defective miners & board before the warranty ended:

any other information that can light up the situation is also welcome.
if its needed to put another section tell me i will edit this post

i think BM is fcking with us. (they get rid of their miners for their new version)
if i remmber correctly BM had the atention to move some of their miners from china to another country. (so instead they could just sale these miners..)

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / how the first BTC got created? on: December 18, 2017, 03:58:09 PM
hi,
i have been thinking about it for quiet some time now.

as my understanding of how the coin is being created is by mining which its confirming transaction.

lets say we are in the first block of the chain, no one had btc cuz not transaction was made.
so no mining, no earning.

so how the first btc was create if no transaction and no mining was done?
14  Economy / Service Discussion / (question)| what happen if u dont pay Chita (bitmain) intime | need ur help on: November 03, 2017, 06:11:14 PM
hi,
as u know when ordering miners from bitmain with a wiretransfer  bitmain allway get less than what u actualy sent.
lets say ur bank did a wiretransfer for 1k as required by bitmain, and bitmain gets 960$.
usualy u will get an email from Chita (Bitmain) saying u have to complete ur order by sending the rest of the money (40$) via wiretransfer or btc.

my question is, what happen if u dont pay the extra?
what happen to the money (my money)?
how long its taking to get the order canceled ?
i have heard u do  get credited ?? ( is that coupons?? how long does it take to get credited?)

(i have 2 orders which are meant to be sent in dec we are now in nov)

thanks alot in advanced .

i have a rig of 8 gtx 1080, but im not satisfied with it for mining. i tried eth i got 20mhs per card,  around 160mhs over all i used nano pool but the reward that i was getting per day was not worth it i got 0.2025 per 24h+ which was around 32$ when in nicehash i would have around 40-50$ depends on the hour.

anyhow i decide to invest some(all) of my saving. (around 12k)
i tried to search some guide where to start , like what hardware were the best to buy ... , all the post where really really old and outdated so here i am to ask for some help
so i can get a better idea on what todo and what NOT to do. all suggestion  are welcome

i had come across this site https://videocardz.com/amd/radeon-500/radeon-rx-580 which show lots of brand of the same cards. (which of these are better if u had the opportunity to buy them give me the top 5)
1, which card will be the best for mining eth? (after moding the bios and card, which i dont know how to do yet)
2, i could find in my country some SAPPHIRE NITRO+ LIMITED EDITION rx580 8G , Sapphire PULSE 8G rx580, msi RADEON™ RX 580 GAMING X 8G. which of these would u recommend. since i dont really know what the best card on the market i search what i've seen on some videos, maybe they are better cards that i need to search for.
3, which mobo will u recommend ?
4, after u have mined some favorite coin, where can u sale it for actual money? what are the places?
5, after how long the card will wear out? (on 100% load all the time)
6, how much time did/do u invest in it (in a day/week/month) ?

for now this is the question that i have in my head, i guess i will come with some more.

appreciate if u could give me a hand on that. thanks alot.

by the way this topic could help others that want to start mining.

i did some home work. and this is what i've got. (please destroy me if i miss calculate something or i did something wrong. i do want learn from the best, i know i did not include an frame, i will do them my self with wood)

each rig will cost me around 3017$
my calculation was with 6 Sapphire Radeon RX 580 NITRO+ LIMITED EDITION 8GB which each of them will do around 29mhs = 174mh ,
MSI Z170A Gaming M7 LGA1151
Intel Pentium G4400
HyperX FURY 4GB DDR4 2133MHz
Corsair Force LS CSSD-F60GBLS
SeaSonic 1050W 80+ Gold
6-Pack PCIe VER 006 PCI-E 16x to 1x Powered Riser

the payback of the investment will be around 3 month.
