1  Economy / Economics / Wakanda Forever [Cryptocurrency style] on: May 12, 2018, 03:42:27 PM
I know most of you are familiar with Wakanda which is a country that is unknown to the whole world in the movie but their technology is so advanced but they don't want to be discovered for a variety of reasons until they are ready to help out to other countries.

I'm relating this to ICOs out there. Isn't it better if we (investors) just let the ICO team do their job and not pressure them about things like "when exchange" and "when moon?" all the shits relating to these. I always read it on the telegram channel of every project I joined in. In result, projects that have been listed in the exchange despite them being not ready and all about any legalities and partnership to companies that will help them preserve their price has been dumped earlier by bounty hunters.

They always pressure the team, spreading FUDs all over the community. Their impatience is what leads to the downfall of its price and at by the end of the day, they will blame the ICO for having such price.

I've invested to a few ICO that really wants to preserve the price and take good care of their project by locking the tokens in the user's respective wallet until they are ready with all the requirements and I like those strategies, I don't care how much I wait as long as I will get what I really deserve and not get disappointed at the end.

What are your thoughts about this?
2  Other / Meta / What if that happens? on: May 07, 2018, 05:46:09 AM
Yesterday, I check the profile and merit history of a certain member to see if he/she is abusing the merit system or not and saw that one of his/her posts that got merited is (Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored). I also checked mine and also found the same thing to a merit that I sent to a specific user.

I am assuming that the thread of that posts got deleted but what if a user posts something then he/she merits it with his high ranking account and immediately after that, he deletes that post in the account where he posts that in. So we will no longer be able to see if that post is merit worthy right?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Am I the only one? [Cryptopia exchange][SOLVED] on: April 26, 2018, 08:11:48 AM
I'm not quite sure if this is the right board to post this to but if it is not, just move it to the right one (mod), Thanks.

I deposited byteball to cryptopia last night from my byteball wallet and it has been 17 hours but it still doesn't show in my balance in cryptopia. I check the status of the transaction in my byteball wallet and it is stated that it is confirmed. I also cheked in the block explorer and I can see that I used the correct address to send it in.

Am I the only one having a hard time depositing at the said exchange?
4  Economy / Economics / Possible effect of potential billionaire investor? on: April 07, 2018, 05:10:48 AM
Most of you have probably heard about George Soros a billionaire who is reportedly taking an interest in cryptocurrency trading. Just before this event, he's been negative on bitcoin, calling it a bubble and etc, but with his sudden interest now in trading with his $26 billion assets, I guess we could probably say that he saw the potential of cryptocurrencies.

How do you think will this affect the market and all the user of cryptos? Can we expect a price spike in the market then after a while, a sudden downtrend movement again?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What to do in this bearish market? on: April 05, 2018, 01:57:09 AM
We thought that the slight recovery of the market in the past few days is the start of another bull run for most of the coins but here we are again with another unseemingly dip in which we will see again a lot of FUDs that will only make things worse. Feels like we are given another chance to do something in this bearish market and take advantage of it. So how can we take advantage of this current situation?

It all comes down to these kinds of situation in which our trading skills are put to the test, anyone can make an easy money in the bull market but bear markets are where our skills are developed and our ability to make future profits is carved.

In a bear market, all coins are at its cheapest so it is a good chance to take some money out in the bank and invest it in a good coin but just because a coin is cheap doesn't mean it has value. DYOR on projects that are undervalued and has a potential to go ten folds or higher in the future when the market rebounds. Amidst the low quality or value of coins, analyzing one that has dropped a huge percentage from their ATH is a key.

This happens when most traders are impatient and the community has lost interest in the project even if their platform is still under development. They just want quick returns. So try and think about what you're doing so far and maybe you will realize that you are one of them and start avoiding doing these things in your crypto career.
6  Economy / Economics / Had enough of wrong investments on ALTS? on: March 25, 2018, 10:25:44 AM
I've been on the forum for quite a while now and I must say, I had my fair share of regrets about investing in a specific ICO or joining in their bounty campaigns. All those time, effort and money getting wasted at the end or you would wait for a very long time before you see the fruit of your labor. So how can we somehow mitigate the risk of investing in the wrong ones? Here are my preferences:

  • The most important thing before investing/joining an ICO is to DYOR! that is your responsibility so that you will not blame the team or the ICO at the end because of how it turned out.
  • Upon doing your own research, you should be able to distinguish what kind of token the project will produce.
  • The kind of token we should invest with are "UTILITY TOKENS"
So what are Utility tokens? IMO, tokens that are used right off the bat to cancel out the transfer of money from one country to another, save fees and time like tokens for blockchain(ETH, NEO, NEBULAS, and AION) that acts as fuel whenever you want to stay connected to their blockchain while you are writing your dapp. These can be considered as Utility tokens.

This is what I've learned so far and you guys are free to share your point of view about it so that we can help each other on the forum one way or the other.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin Campaign's Stakes on: January 12, 2018, 03:49:27 PM
I've been on the forum for quite a while now and I've joined a few altcoin campaigns. I just want to confirm something because I'm not sure if what I know is true. It's about the stake reward for altcoin campaigns, I know it differs from every campaign but does the stakes that are being rewarded to us is the "multiplier" of the tokens that they will give to us at the end of the campaign? Let's say for example that I've accumulated a total of 2 stakes in the whole campaign and the token to be distributed for the signature bounty is calculated, how do they compute the total tokens for each participant? I would appreciate if you share your thoughts about it.
