1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is quidi.finance legit? on: June 26, 2023, 05:10:38 PM
Hey there!

The main question is in the thread subject. I have found a new DeFi app quidi.finance that claims to bring up to 321% API by staking your funds in their concentrated liquidity protocol.
The website looks ok, you can even deposit funds and claim staking rewards. However, the overall lack of info regarding the project creates some doubts.

Anyone got any thoughts on this matter?
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto arbitrage resources needed on: June 03, 2022, 09:08:50 AM
Anyone knows any reputable international crypto arbitrage resources? Any links to trusted services, websites, forums etc. are highly appreciated.

Whenever you try to search for this information by yourself you are getting lots of phishing links. So it would be very nice to get some info from people that already worked in this field and can share the way to introduce a newbie into arbitraging.

4  Economy / Service Discussion / Any thoughts of Stormgain cloud mining? on: April 02, 2022, 11:34:04 AM
I've been looking for a service that would help me to mine thru my browser. I want to use it on my work computer so it is important to have like a simple on/off button for a fast setup.

I have managed to find a platform stormgain.com that have such feature bur I didn't manage to find any serious feedback on that. Also, I have no Idea if stormgain is actually mining something via my laptop and it is not just a fake faucet created to attract users to scam exchange service.

Anyone got any thoughts on them? Or maybe someone knows a better service?
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for services with withdrawable welcome / depo / ref bonuses on: February 17, 2022, 04:52:56 PM
As it is stated in thread subject, I am looking for services that have withdrawable welcome, deposit or refferal bonus (no problem if it have freeze period or requires to complete any free task). Most likely it would be an exchange,  a wallet or (most likely) a staking service. Service should be trustworthy since it would probably be centralized.
I already know a couple of such services and it is possible to earn up to $50 from a single registration.

Would really appreciate if anyone shares some links with me. If I manage to find more of them I'll obviously share the list.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to claim BTC forks from old Electrum wallet? on: February 09, 2022, 07:10:11 AM
I'm trying to get my forks via 12-word seed or dat file.

The problem is that my seed phrase is not accepted by any wallet I've tried. Coinomi is not accepting Electrum keys at all. Tried desktop wallets listed on bch.info and it still didn't work. Electron Cash wallet even showed that my seed is too old.

I would appreciate if someone advice a wallet that will work with old Electrum seeds.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for interesting media resources (any topic) on: January 04, 2022, 03:49:43 PM
Hello there!

I'm looking for any exceptional media resources. Any topic is highly appreciated. The only requirement is that it should contain a decent amount of unique information that is interesting to read. Not just a topic that was million times reweighted all over the internet.
I'm thinking about creating a telegram channel on my local language and checking if it is easy to find an interesting topic and content for translation.

So please, just share some links to what you read at your spare time. Everything is appreciated.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Any secure crypto / stablecoin interest service? on: October 21, 2021, 12:00:53 PM
Hey there!

Anyone knows any decent service that provides interest on BTC or stablecoins? Safety should go first, no matter what is the amount of interest (but it should be over binance tiny rates).

For now I have only found Coinrabbit that offers juicy 8% on USDT but I have no idea if it is actually safe. They have no KYC so it feels like their business is not regulated and they may get shut down by some financial regulator.

Would highly appreciate of anyone shares any service and give a feedback to it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BNB staking. Validator in Jail status on: April 24, 2021, 07:41:57 AM
Hey there!

I have staked my BNB not long ago and used Ankr_BSC_validator_1 as a delegator. Today when I logged in, I found that this validator now have In Jail status.

I could not find an explanation of it but it definitely sounds like there should be an interesting story behind this status. Hope, someone can clarify it.

And the most important: does it mean that delegator is locked forever (sounds like it should be really "locked" for some time) and I only have to re-delegate it? Seems like I'd have to wait until funds are re-delegated now Sad

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Binance Liquid Swap on: April 13, 2021, 09:04:22 PM
Hey guys!

I believe someone has already invested some coins to Binance Liquid Swap. Can you please share your experience? Planning to invest some of my BNB there.

I have already googled for some articles about it and all of them are like "just throw your coins there and,  txfee if you invest only one coin and receive your rewards". Is it really so easy? The only thing that concerns me is that Binance Liquid Swap right now offers 30.4%+11.85% revenue which is much over 15-20% offered for staking. Is there any risk with Binance Liquid Swap? And that is the min/max investing period for it?

Any information is appreciated.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for BTC fork claim service on: April 13, 2021, 02:00:44 PM
Hey there!

I remember that I've seen a service that could claim all my BTC forks.

can anyone share a link to such service? Could be nice if some exchange is providing such services so I could save on fees.

Thanks in advance Smiley
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Telegram abandons TON on: May 12, 2020, 10:32:46 PM
Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/breaking-telegram-abandons-telegram-open-network-and-gram-tokens

Well, i can't say that was unexpected. But looking backwards how do you feel, was that a smart move to do the business like Pavel Durov did?
As we remember, back in 2017 a huge part of ICOs were unavailable for US residents just because devs could be fucked by SEC. Then they started all their TON things in US and obviously got fucked.

Ofcourse TON network would be launched and somehow maintained, but imho generaly this is RIP.
TON used to be a currency, supported by an  application that in some parts of the world could overtake facebook facebook. It could seriously push crypto adoption but now in the best case it would only be popular inside cryptocommunity.

RIP
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Just a Shady ‘Ponzi Scheme,’ Rants Goldbug Peter Schiff on: May 12, 2019, 08:56:06 AM
As you can see on the link below, another CEO of the another big advisory firm is saying that Bitcoin is nothing more but a big scam. A couple of years ago similar words said by Morgan Stanley CEO caused a huge amount of FUD that started a big wave of panic selling. But now we may see that those things doesn't really have much influence on crypto market.
How do you think, maybe the crypto market will soon become big enough to get resistance to such kinds of FUD?

14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Some questions related to Electrum hacks on: May 06, 2019, 04:04:57 PM
Hey guys! After recent issues with Electrum hacks I've got worried about my funds and changed the password for my wallet. But the reason I'm creating this thread is that recently we see such reports too often. I like electrum and would like to continue using it but some questions have to be asked:
1. Pretty much money were stolen due to such hacks. Does any one got any compensation from the side of devs that allowed such things to happen? I know that the question is naive and everyone probably got nothing but anyway...
2. Is it safe to use old versions of Electrum? Considering that some errors, asking to update wallet might be a malware is it safe just to stick to one wallet?
3. Anyone thought about creating an official Telegram channel? I see on the website that they got twitter but twitter is turning into a huge pile of crap while Telegram is becoming more popular each day. It would be nice to get notifications about any changes there.

Thanks in advance.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Facebook bans Alex Jones and others on: May 03, 2019, 04:09:40 PM
Source: https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/02/tech/facebook-ban-louis-farrakhan-infowars-alex-jones-milo-laura-loomer/index.html

Facebook (that also owns instagram) is completely banning some right opinion makers like Alex Jones and Milo Yiannopoulos with an official reason of "promoting violence". Which is obviously bullshit.
With a current level of society digitalization do you feel that those centralized corporations got too much power over common people?
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for Virtual SIM card. on: April 10, 2019, 02:00:42 PM
Hey guys! I'm looking for a service that provides a virtual SIM cards or at least just an SMS receiving service. Some services that I've seen are verifying only social accounts while I need to verify accs on a local and unpopular service which is not listed anywhere.
Also, it is highly preferable to have a chance to fund my account with ETH. Verification usually cost not more than 20 cents and BTC transaction fee would take more.
Anyway, I would appreciate any legit service that you could share.
Thanks.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Some text about the real UN and genocide in Rwanda on: April 05, 2019, 04:01:41 PM
Hey guys! I've recently found some interesting read that tells us about one of the cases, that demonstrate how UN bureaucracy works and how they are helping people.
Those people got a great power in their hands but no one is going to use it in order to help people when it is needed.

18  Other / Politics & Society / Degradation of American media on: March 27, 2019, 02:10:43 PM
Hey guys!
I've just found some interesting read written by Rolling Stone columnist Matt Taibi. This guy is talking about the problems of American press that uncovered after so-called Russiagate (and during Iraq military campaign): https://taibbi.substack.com/p/russiagate-is-wmd-times-a-million

It is pretty interesting that once reputable media with probably world's bests journalists, which have a huge amount of money, connections and other resources, can degrade so fast.
19  Other / Off-topic / How to delete files? on: March 25, 2019, 11:42:38 AM
Hey guys.
Sooner or later we all changing our equipment and sometimes people are selling their used PCs or smartphones. In this case if you stored your private key on your hard drive it will be possible to restore it if you did not deleted it properly.
For PC I use CCleaner to permanently delete my files but the whole cleaning should take a huge amount of time. Anyone knows faster way to delete files?
I am also interested to find similar program to permanently delete files from my android smartphone but still can't find a proper tool. I will appreciate any advice.
20  Other / Meta / Suggestion: quote notifications on: April 13, 2018, 04:37:44 AM
Hey there! I'm pretty sure that those things were already discussed but imho it is left without  the attention that it deserve.
I've just read the recent thread made by theymos and here is a small quote from it:
Politics & Society is trash. People go there, look at a headline, and post a few sentences of their first gut reaction without reading any of the other replies.
If you guys dodn't see the half of the forum works this way. The only Politics and Society section is not the main problem.
The other thing is that people always discuss how to moderate the forum but tbh despite the huge efforts of the community nothing is getting better (at least globaly).  I would advice you to think about how to involve users into the conversation.
For example while you are posting on the forum it might be hard to track all your posts for any feedback from the other users while you can set notifications only for threads that will completely spam your inbox with mostly useless notifications.
If people will have a chance to recieve notification once their message was quoted it will make them more involved into the conversation and make the envioronment on this forum way better. It could be a small notificaton somewhere in the top right / left of the page or at least the same e-mail stuff that we've got now, whatever. Anything will be pretty usefull.
