3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Dahlia Messenger [OpenSource, P2P Always-On Encryption Communications App] on: December 08, 2013, 07:32:07 PM
Dahlia Communications is an effort to supply an open-sourced decentralized communications instrument to those who value their privacy.

As of now the effort has been able to make major strides over the years, having built a fully fledged server and client (graphical), built with QT which allows to easily deploy to basically all devices with little changes needed to the code. The fully fledged client has some issues and the effort is releasing a prototype public testing branch to isolate the issues. The idea is to strip down to the bare basics and then build it up to fully fledged prototypes over time.

What the first prototype release contains is decryption, encryption, generation of keypair RSA 4096 bits only(and minimum) download links below. It doesn't contain networking or saving anything like the full version does which is unreleased at this time.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it just me or is rippled source litterly just relaying information efficient on: September 27, 2013, 07:10:11 AM
Is it just me or is rippled source literately just relaying information efficient?

I took a quick peak at it and I'm not quiet sure when the banking part comes in. It seems that we are just relying on trust still and not the Bitcoin kind of trust, the "Bank" kind of trust system which is "because receipt, documentation or balance exists -- so it is."

I'm highly disappointed.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Printer Shaman -- Printer Scheduler (Launch Assistance Needed) on: August 25, 2013, 07:52:07 PM
So I'm a programmer that built an app called Printer Shaman it allows the operator to leave it up and open and schedule prints on a daily basis on a set time. The operator can set the day, time, website, photo, document, num copies, etc.

Its been already tested with great success. So lets sell this thing guys! I'm just a programmer, I know my limits. I can't couldn't sell $40,000 car for $2000 if i wanted too... its the way it is.
Lets discuss about how we should go about this.

I'm willing to go as far as the donations in time and help takes us.

I did have a download link up, but i want to sell this thing now, so I don't want to give out too many copies, if you can show you can donate something or help in some way you will get a free copy always.

We should in my programmer opinion:
Setup a Bitcoinstarter
setup a kickstarter
setup a website for sales (I have a website called wamzow. maybe we could rename printer shaman to wamzow)
setup a marketing plan for advertising on websites.
or setup a marketing plan in general.

The app has been tested extensivly on Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7+ its written in QT it should work on MAC as well.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Does the mining community need GUI applications? on: July 05, 2013, 04:46:46 AM
If so what kind of applications? web apps, local desktop app? both?  (I'm thinking about if anyone still uses or needs things like mmcfe, SimpleCoin, mining Farm, etc)
7  Economy / Lending / CLOSED (steam offer is over) on: July 01, 2013, 05:22:49 AM
I need someone to create 2 steam accounts and purchase 1 natural selection pack on one account and the do the same on the other. Name your price, and time line.
Your payment will be when I get paid from the "holy grail bounty"(within 1 month, I would imagine based on my current progress of completion.)

9  Economy / Gambling / [Bet on randomness] Test run, before graphics update and fee percent change on: June 04, 2013, 08:59:43 PM
In house ledger (Keeps blockchain small)
Cheat Detection
No house edge
Please no bets larger then 0.005 and no deposits larger then 0.5 BTC.

Recommended Deposits: 0.05 BTC
Recommended Bets: 0.02 BTC

http://162.209.48.19/

info
You are betting on randomly generated numbers in a secure fashion,
there is NO house edge, the house only gets a fee (50% at the moment for testing purposes)
All clients involved with the bet will generate hashes and random numbers on the client side and relay them to other clients
the server has no involvement with randomness.

Bets are matched up with other players(bets) that are distinct from the originating gambler.
Bets are matched up with other bets that match exactly by cost of bet and multiplier.
A game is created when exactly enough bets can cover the cost of the winners reward

The server runs its own in house ledger (C++)
The server runs its own game server (C++)
games are instantaneous and fair.

I'm not sure how long i want the test betting to go on for.... as long as they have to Tongue

10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Possible Investigation of 20btc stolen in the past year from me on: May 29, 2013, 05:17:14 PM
I'd like to find out what happen to some Bitcoins stolen from me in the past year that i may have accused some exchanges of stealing but after some research(that has been..... well i really hate to say it has been stolen from the paper notes i had) I believe that some people from the town befriended me and sent bitcoins to their accounts while i'd go to the restroom or something of the like. I have reason to believe they are why monitor sale went stale on biddingpond for 18 btc(2 years ago?), and the 5 btc(6 months ago? 1 year ago) as well that my research(that was stolen) showed that it went to mtgox yet mtgox denys it went to mtgox which would indicate someone has an account there.

I also had reverse geo located the ip address(at the time(s) of the theft) and found they lead back to someone i haven't seen since i was 18 and they did happen to know the floor plans of the current house of residence of where the btc theft took place, it wasen't until i started mining and switched to linux mining that my bitcoins stopped being stolen, so i originally thought it was a trojen, but some physical investigation around town would lead me to think that i need to find those addresses again and do another geolocation ip address and prosecute. and if what i'm saying is indeed true, it could lead to heaiver prosecution terms as it could prove to be the link to some other accounts they made had made the victim of me and my family of.

If i could have the communities help me find all addresses i have reported that btc have been stolen from me and once i have the addresse i can find the ip address they were sent from and do another geo ip location search, I'm mostly calling out and seeing if there is a way to do a location to ip bitcoin search? that would really be helpfull i'd rather not blatently through out the location of the suspect as i'd like to prosecute and keep this information slightly private. Thank you for your support while i get back to work and help improve the community. Its a new dawn, its a new day Cheesy

12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Does list transsaction store the lists of transactions or the other way? on: May 22, 2013, 05:42:19 AM
Does listtransactions command store a precomputed list or will it rescan the block chain after i import a bitcoin pub/pri key and output the updated list? how does that work so I can accurately build up my BIK library.
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Integration Kit for QT/C++ | BIK | v0.0.1 | In progress dev on: May 20, 2013, 02:02:34 AM
Looks like I am required to develop a JSON interface for Bitcoin/litecoin as a server and php won't cut it so I'm sure I'll end up taking my current code and moving into a library so I started this thread as a place holder for when im ready to release the qt/c++ code under AGPL . Stay tuned.

A side thought: I should start calling these things Bitcoin Integration Kits as that’s probably more of an appropriate name.
yep the C++/QT version will be called BIK
14  Other / Off-topic / Printer Shaman - Schedule Printing events ;) on: May 19, 2013, 12:11:11 AM
I've recently created an app under the AGPl license the idea came from a friend that had to come to work 2 hours earlier than his paid time just to print two pages (those two pages change on a daily basis). I will sell the binaries in windows / linux for 0.1btc for developers the source code is available at https://github.com/Xenland/printershaman

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Manually pinging bitcoind/bitcoin-qt peers for new blocks? on: April 17, 2013, 12:47:04 PM

18  Other / Off-topic / I want to find a word to coin these types of people on: April 16, 2013, 02:18:41 AM
These seems to be a group of people that is distributed at what appears to be a global scale where they thing they can just plug stuff together and expect it to make life progressively efficient, or long lasting in some way. I like to call them "Lets attach a tree to humans at the biological level so that they can live in space with out oxygen mask"..... type of people... Anyone else know what I mean? I'm sure there are other more relateable examples I could think up thats just the gists of it. Is there already a word for these people? Maybe we can call them "Mashup Progressives"... IDK....
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Half-Baked Escrow Compression Bitcoin Scheme on: March 23, 2013, 04:09:00 AM
So i was thinking about sending all the files to a client as one encrypted compressed file as well kind of like an "insurance" but its not really if you can't unlock anything with out the password anyways. Wouldn't it be cool to unlock files or perhaps even better "blocks" of data according to how much of the amount has been paid for instance if I have a to send file 1.txt 2.txt 3.txt and 4.txt to the client I could encrypt them all and If half the bitcoins are sent only 1 and 2 are unlocked and if all are sent 1,2,3,4 are unlocked. The reasoning is that perhaps the client can review the files to the extend that they wish and when they’ve "seen enough" they can stop payment and continue with more conversing of improvements until futher payment is made... Probably not too practical for everyone to directly sow into the Blockchain or Saotshi client but still a fun idea non the less for a new type of escrow.
