Group Buy for Gridseed 5 Chip units as low as $187

About me:

Like you guys I'm a fellow miner looking for the best deals to ROI. When the Gridseeds 1st launched I noticed that the resellers here were charging 100-150% over retail value opted out of that horrible deal, and decided to take matters into my own hands. I did a private group buy with a remailer and a few friends and finally was able to get some gear that will roi. I'm here hosting a GB for you fellow miners that also want a chance to return on investment.

Target group buy is 200 Girdseed miners. This group buy is for the Gridseed 5 chip units only.

2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Gridseed DIY Cables for the newb on: March 17, 2014, 03:37:19 AM
DIY Gridseed Cables

This is more of a what I've done then a Tutorial. I hope it helps  Grin. Your responsible for your own units do it at your own risk

Supply list
1. Molex connector or PCI-E connector to PSU. (You should have some left over from GPU days or buy online )
2. Barrel connector to screw terminal. (http://www.amazon.com/2-1mm-5-5mm-Male-Power-Adapter/dp/B002QWNZHU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1395019577&sr=8-4&keywords=barrel+connector+screw)
3. 18-20 Gauge Speaker Wire (http://www.amazon.com/AH1850N-feet-18-Gauge-Speaker-Wire/dp/B00005T3G2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1395019797&sr=8-5&keywords=18+gauge+speaker+wire)
4. Electrical Tape

Hack Job for Molex

1. First cut your wire as long as you need it. Split the 2 conductor speaker wire like I did and expose the wire. Insert the exposed end into the Barrel plug terminals and tighten the screws so that the wire doesn't come out so easily.

2. Hack off the black end of the molex power connector, and expose the wires.

3. Connect the Speaker wire to the Molex wire, I just twisted the wires together and tape it up with electrical tape. The most Important part is that the speaker wire that is entering the positive terminal of the barrel connector must be connected to the yellow wire of the Molex, and the wire connected to the negative terminal must be connected to the black wire on the Molex connector. If you got the power wires that Lighting Asic sent you for the generic PSU's, the red wire connects with yellow Molex and the white connects with black Molex.

4. Connect your Molex to your modular power PSU cord. Note that you can run at least 1-5 Gridseed on one Molex to PSU how ever here I am only going to be using 4 just to be safe.

Hack Job For PCI-E

1. This is pretty much the same process as the Molex. The only difference I did here is I'm connecting 2 barrel connectors per (yellow and black) wire.

2. You can see here that I actually connected the 2 barrel connectors to one yellow and black pci-e wire.

3. 10 barrel connectors on one pcie. I had 6 yellow wires and 6 black on this power cord for my psu. I have 2 singles and 4 doubles

Finally Done!!!

You can run 4 units like this. I'm not pushing any more than that and wouldn't try it. Check Miaviators thread he states 1-5/molex recommended.

10 units can run on this pcie cord. I believe Miaviator stated we can run up to 10-12 on PCI-E.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Hosting 20hr Contest, Winner gets Sapphire 7950 on: January 21, 2014, 02:43:59 AM
Ok I want to host a contest and rent your hashing power for 20hrs. I want to Start at 11pm(PST) tonight and ending at 7pm(PST) tomorrow. Who ever mines the most coins in the 20hr period is the winner and I will send you a Sapphire Radeon 7950 vapor x with riser the following day. I will create and give contest full access to login to my workers pool account so you can monitor the amount of coins your generating. Each contestant would have there own pool account starting with 0 transactions. You guys will be mining a coin that is not even on coinmarketcap. Please private msg me if your interested in entering the contest.

Requirements/Rules
1. I want to have a minimum of 10 contestants to start the race.
2. Must have a minimum of 8mh/s for scrypt to enter contest.
3. Don't post how much mh/s your entering into the contest in this thread, don't tell other contestants your hashing power, private msg me.
4. Must live in the U.S. I'm only shipping in the U.S
4. Must stop mining at exactly 7pm (PST)

I will keep track of activity of the coins mined by each miner at 5pm, so no cheating. I will take snip shots of amount of coins mined by each worker and post them here where the winner will be displayed. I will send the GPU to the winner the following morning and give them tracking #.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I posted this in the miners section but I think market place is more suitable

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stop Investing on: January 16, 2014, 05:53:27 AM
Stop investing in new copy cat coins like NXT, that ask for your money as initial investment in exchange for shares. Why not to invest after it launches well because your making a share holder rich while he dumps his stash on you. nuff said
