1  Economy / Speculation / Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 23, 2022, 05:43:25 AM
The price was going nuts and now seems to have stopped falling for now and also slowly rising up for a little while as well. What are your thoughts, is it going to fall more or would it start to rise again and recover all the money that was lost.
And what if this rise in price is just temporary and the price would again reach $34k and breach that support as well, what would happen then, what is the next support to look out for in case the market bleeds more in the coming days.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / (problem resolved) on: September 24, 2017, 12:55:40 PM
(Nevermind......I realized what the problem was.)

I bought KOreCoin on Bittrex for a trade. I want to sell now that I have a profit, but I just noticed that my KoreCoin holding sits in a "reserved" status, and cannot be sold.

Does anybody have any insight into this? All my other holdings are normal....just KoreCoin.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Bittrex confirmations stuck at 23/36 for 90 minutes so far on: September 23, 2017, 06:55:41 PM
Normally Bittrex is fast with crediting my deposit, but I made an Ethereum deposit 90 minutes ago and it is stuck at 23/36 confirmations.

I checked their wallet status and it is fine.

Any idea why this could be happening?

6  Economy / Services / Looking to hire somebody to write a bitcoin price ticker widget on: November 29, 2015, 02:56:34 AM
I am looking for a widget which sources from Bitstamp or Coinbase in US dollars. I would like for it to also have the 24 hour high, the 24 hour low, the 24 hour volume, and the 24 hour % change. I like the one that I see at the Winkdex, which can be seen at http://winkdex.com/

I would want the widget to say "Powered by BitcoinBulldog.com" similar to the way the BTCQuote widget appears found here:

https://www.firebase.com/blog/2013-10-25-btcquote-bitcoin-price-ticker.html

From what I understand the APIs from the exchanges only like a certain amount of requests per minute or hour, so some advice and guidance would be appreciated as to how we should set this up so that the ticker is always going to work without isssue

Additionally, since I will want other websites to embed my widget for use on their websites, I will want the widget to be in various display sizes such as 300 X 250, 336 X 280, 728 X 90, 300 X 600

These seem to be the top four sizes that Google suggests for ad word campaigns on websites as far as CTR, and as such I would imagine these would fit well into the most amount of websites without causing the website/blog owners to have to redesign their websites to fit the widget.

The layout for the information displayed with the widget will need a couple different designs due to the size and shape changes of the 4 various sizes I am looking for.

The ideal candidate will have created something similar in the past which I can see.

Feel free to PM me if interested. Please indicate the price you will charge as well as the time frame necessary to complete the work.

Thanks.

7  Economy / Services / Article writers needed. (Earn between $50-$100 for 1000 words) on: November 28, 2015, 07:06:47 PM
As you can see from the title of this post, the rate I want an article writer to be paid is between $50-$100 for 1000 words. I believe this rate is higher than what most article writers would normally encounter, and as such I hope many high quality writers will be interested in this job.

Explanation of the hiring process:

1) I will provide the bitcoin specific topic which I will want the writers to write about.

2)If a writer feels they are interested in writing this article, they will need to compete against the other writers to win the writing job.

3) To enter the competition, each writer will need to pay an entry fee of $5. There will between 10-20 openings per article competition. I will read each article, and whichever article I feel did the best job of articulating the topic will win. I will not make any money from this. Every dollar which is collected from writers, gets paid back to the winning writer.

4)The winning article will be published at www.BitcoinBulldog.com which is a new website which will launch within the next 60 days. BitcoinBulldog will be focused on bringing a mix of breaking news within the bitcoin ecosystem, as well as some op-ed pieces. The writer will receive full credit for their writing if published at BitcoinBulldog.

To alleviate any concerns from people who might think that this is some elaborate scam designed to get people's bitcoin and run, I would like to point out that I am the owner of Bitcoin-Brokers.org and you can see my review thread here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237164.0

I have been running Bitcoin-Brokers for 2.5 years. Over the course of 2.5 years, I have acted as the escrow agent for over 7 million dollars worth of bitcoin transactions. My review thread has over 80,000 views, hundreds of comments, and I am proud to say that if you take the time to read through the comments section you will not find one single complaint from anybody.

This is the first time that I have attempted to hire an article writer at Bitcointalk, and to the best of my knowledge this is the first time that an offer like this has been presented. As such, I have no idea if this offer will be appealing or not to article writers. I do know that by structuring the offer in this manner it will weed out the weaker writers immediately.

Hopefully the idea is a success, and is well received by interested writers. If it is a success, then this will be an ongoing competition, but we can cross that bridge if and when it comes.

Rather than asking people to send any money right now to declare their desire to enter, I feel it would be just as easy for interested parties to declare their intention with a simple post below indicating their desire to enter.

As such, if you are a writer who would like to enter this first competition, please make a post indicating as such. If we get to the point where there are enough interested parties then I can ask the interested parties to submit their payment at that time.

I think for the first competition, I would allow the writers 7 days to come up with their 1000 words. This should allow each writer enough time to put something together. If anybody has any questions, feel free to post your questions below.

Obviously each writer will need to come up with original content. Any writer who submits content which is stolen from another website will forfeit their entrance fee to the winning writer. To verify that each writer's content is original material I will be using www.copyscape.com to verify the integrity and originality of each submission.

If the event that there are multiple high quality articles, the winner will receive all the money collected, and I would probably offer a nominal fee to the other high quality writers to at least compensate them for their entrance fee (there would be no obligation to sell me the writings, but the writers will have the offer made in case they have no other use for the submitted writing).

Thanks for your consideration.

9  Other / Meta / How do I get in touch with a mod? on: July 09, 2015, 08:57:59 PM
I run the website www.bitcoin-brokers.org

My review thread is found here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237164.msg11702420#msg11702420

In 2 years of running this business, there has never been a single complaint from either buyer, or seller because every single transaction has been perfect. That review thread has 80,000 views and hundreds of comments....not one single complaint ever.

I have handled approximately $7,000,000 worth of transactions over the course of approximately 6500 individual transactions.

Yet somehow within the last week or so, I have suddenly have my trust ranking drop into the negative which is impossible unless it is a competitor trying to impact my business.

I had a member of this forum attempt to become a seller with my business within this last week, and I denied him, and he became abusive in the PM system, and I can only assume that it was him in some way.

Can a mod contact me to speak about this please?

(I still have the PMs stored in my mailbox if the mod wants to see if perhaps it was this member who has initiated this nonsense).

Thanks.
10  Economy / Currency exchange / Looking for either Wells Fargo, Bank of America, or PNC bitcoin sellers. on: June 26, 2015, 12:21:17 PM

11  Economy / Gambling / Sidechain Stock Market on: January 25, 2015, 04:05:48 PM
www.Bitcoin-Brokers.org is offering a Sidechain Stock Market funded entirely in bitcoin.

Sidechain Stock Market Explanation:

The platform used for the Sidechain Stock Market is third party product which is called Wall Street Survivor. The website can be found at www.Wallstreetsurvivor.com

I encourage you to visit the site for yourself. You will see that the site is completely trustworthy. It is used by hundreds of thousands of people per day, and there have been articles written about the website in Forbes magazine among other respectable financial websites.

This platform allows us to create what are called tournaments. These tournaments are what we use as our Sidechain Stock Market. These tournaments allow players to buy and sell stocks with virtual money and based on how well a player has done with their trading is exactly how they will be rewarded or penalized when their tournament concludes.

This is very similar to a financial product which is called "contract for difference (or CFD)" with a few important differences. CFDs are typically issued by a company who creates their own market prices for the underlying issuance. This places CFD providers at an unfair advantage over their own clients. This fosters an unfair trading environment where the CFD provider is now capable of, and rewarded when they trade against their own clients.

By using a third party platform, you are assured that your trades are based on provably fair market conditions, as compared to artificially created prices within a platform which was under our control.

Players are permitted to make as many trades as they wish, and never be charged a penny for any of the trades.

By having zero trading fees, this now allows smaller players to buy micro purchases of their favorite companies. As an example, you can now buy a couple dollars worth of 250 different companies for $500, and then sell those same 250 different companies and never lose a single penny to trading fees. This encourages diversification without incurring an expense.

We make our money from a Sidechain fee associated with holding your bitcoin during your tournament.

We sell your bitcoin into an exchange and lock in your bitcoin value into dollars. When your tournament concludes and you are paid back in bitcoin, we repurchase the bitcoin from the exchange at current rates and your tournament results dictate the percentage paid back to you.

It is all included in our fee which is 5% per tournament. Each tournament lasts for 5 trading days. Tournaments only run on days that the market is open which are Mondays through Fridays. We can begin tournaments on any of the 5 trading days that you wish.

The minimum equivalent amount that must be wagered per tournament is $400. There is no maximum amount which can be wagered.

Leverage is available to anybody who wishes to utilize it. Leverage will amplify rewards and losses equally. We offer up to 300% leverage at no additional fee. Leverage will magnify the gain or loss based on the level of leverage. As an example, if zero leverage is used during the tournament, and the player increases the value of their portfolio by 10%, the player will receive back their deposit plus 10% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

If that same player had 100% leverage and achieved the same 10% increase in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount plus 20% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

If that same player had 200% leverage and achieved the same 10% increase in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount plus 30% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

If that same player had 300% leverage and achieved the same 10% increase in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount plus 40% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

The same numbers are realized in the opposite direction if the trader sees a loss in their portfolio value.

If that same player had 100% leverage and witnessed a 10% loss in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount minus 20% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

If that same player had 200% leverage and witnessed a 10% loss in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount minus 30% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

If that same player had 300% leverage and witnessed a 10% loss in the portfolio value, the player would receive the deposit amount minus 40% (minus the 5% fee taken at the start of the tournament).

-Shorting is permitted.
-Every trade must carry over at least one night. This means that a stock purchased on a Monday must be held until at least Tuesday before it can be sold.

Free demo accounts can be created at WallstreetSurvivor and I encourage you to register a free trading account and practice trading with their system first, and once you feel comfortable with the platform, we can get you set up with as little as one day's notice when you are prepared to wager for bitcoin.

Bitcoin-Brokers has been operating for approximately 2 years now in the bitcoin community. Our dedicated review thread can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237164.msg9846821#msg9846821

12  Economy / Gambling / Bitcoin Binary Options 100% Payout on: January 17, 2015, 03:52:48 PM
www.Bitcoin-Brokers.org

SPECIAL-Between January 24th-March 24th we are waiving all fees. This means 100% payouts between January 24th and March 24th

Our provably fair Binary Options are different than typical Binary Options in many different ways.

Our Binary Option players are playing against each other instead of against us. Each player must choose a stock (or stocks) that they want to "go long" for a single trading day. At the end of the day, the player who chose the stock which was the better performer for the day will win the wager.

This means that a player can win even if their stock goes down in value by the end of the trading day.

For example, lets assume two players have entered into a Binary trade with us.

The following day the winner will win if:

a)their stock went up more on a percentage basis than their competitor's stock.
b)their stock went down less on a percentage basis than their competitor's stock.

In the event of a tie, 100% of player's wagers are returned to the players.

Each player must submit their wager and their choice one day in advance of the Option. Specifically, the wager and choice must be submitted no later than 60 minutes prior to the closing of US markets the day before the Option begins. For example, if the player wishes to wager on a stock which trades on a Tuesday, the wager and selection must be submitted no later than 60 minutes before the close of Monday's markets.

Each player will be advised of their opponent's selection the evening prior to the trading day.

Our payouts are 90%. This means that if 2 players wagered 1 bitcoin each on the Binary Option, the winner would receive 1.9 bitcoin as their winnings. The loser would receive nothing. Bitcoin-Brokers takes a 5% fee for brokering the Binary Option between the players.

There always needs to be a second player to create each Binary Option. Thus if we receive 9 people who each want to wager 1 bitcoin each on the next day's markets we would be able to pair off 8 of those 9 against each other, and the 9th player would sit in pole position for the next day's markets if they wished to play the following day.

The minimum wager amount is 1 bitcoin. There is no maximum wager amount.

Hopefully this explanation has helped you to understand how this product functions, though if you have any further questions about our Binary Options I would be more than happy to delve deeper into answering any questions which exist.

Please always include the following info when ordering through our help desk:

1)Indicate Binary Option as desired product.
2)Indicate desired wager. Minimum wager is 1 bitcoin. Wagers must be in increments of 1 bitcoin.
3)Indicate which stock is your pick. When indicating your stock selection, please also include a link to that stock's Yahoo profile. For example, this is the link to Google's profile http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=goog&fr=uh3_finance_web&uhb=uhb2
(Please note that stock selection is limited to stocks that trade on US markets such as Nasdaq, NYSE. OTC selections are permitted but the market capitalization must be at least $100 million.)
4)Bitcoin wallet address which you want your bitcoin sent to.

14  Economy / Goods / Reloadable Debit Cards on: November 18, 2014, 01:42:59 AM
Bitcoin-Brokers is now offering multiple reloadable debit card solutions to the bitcoin community.

Each solution has its own unique set of pros and cons based on each user's preferences.

Neither of these solutions are anonymous, so if you insist on anonymity, these will not work for you.

These solutions are only available to residents in the USA.

Option #1
www.Rushcard.com

-Rushcard was started over 10 years ago.

-Rushcard is a USA company, and the issuing bank is Metabank, which means that all funds held on your card are FDIC insured.

-Rushcard comes with live 24 hour a day customer service.

-Rushcard comes with a website which allows cardholders to log in and see all their card information such as balances, activity  etc.

Card fee $3.95-$9.95 per card, and you will need to purchase 2 of these cards.
ATM Withdrawal Fee -$2.50
Maximum cash withdrawal per month- $5,000

With your PIN, you may use your Card to obtain cash from any Automated Teller Machine ("ATM") or any Point-of-Sale ("POS") device, as permissible by a merchant that bears the Visa, Interlink®, Plus®, Maestro®, or MoneyPass® Acceptance Mark. MoneyPass is a surcharge-free ATM network. See www.rushcard.com for a complete list of all surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs. All ATM transactions are treated as cash withdrawal transactions. You may use your Card at an ATM. The maximum withdraw from an ATM in one transaction is $500.00. The maximum cumulative amount that may be withdrawn from multiple ATMs per 24 hour period is $500.00.

Please refer to the Cardholder Agreement for additional information on limits by all load types. Limits: $1,000 total per 24-hour period for cash loads; $2,000 total per 24-hour period, and $5,000 total per month for Card-to-Card transfers to your own personal cards; $2,000 total per month for Card-to-Card transfers to any one individual RushCard holder; $5,000 per transaction for ACH/Direct Deposit via employer-issued payroll and $2,000 per transaction for ACH via PayPal, Government Benefits, or Child Support.

How this option works-

You will need to purchase 2 debit cards from Rushcard. Once your debit cards have arrived and you have activated them with Rushcard, you will mail one of these debit cards to Bitcoin-Brokers.

When you wish to load bitcoin onto these debit cards you will transfer your bitcoin to Bitcoin-Brokers. We will immediately sell your bitcoin at the Bitstamp exchange at current market rates. We will then take the debit card that you mailed to us to one of the Rushcard load locations the same day and load funds onto this debit card minus our fees.

We will notify you that your load has been completed. You will then log onto the Rushcard website and perform a free card to card transfer which will draw the funds off of the card you mailed to us onto the card that is in your control.

You can then take that card to any ATM and withdraw your money

Option #2
Bank of America debit card
Wells Fargo debit card
PNC Bank debit card

Card fee-Free from your own bank
ATM withdrawal fee-Check your current debit card fee associated with your respective bank
Maximum cash withdrawal per month-Unlimited

How this option works-

When you wish to load bitcoin onto your existing debit card issued by one of the above banks, simply transfer your bitcoin to Bitcoin-Brokers. We will immediately sell your bitcoin at the Bitstamp exchange at current market rates. We will then visit any of the above listed banks and deposit cash into your specified account the same day minus our fees.

We will notify you that your load has been completed.

You can immediately take your debit card to any ATM and withdraw cash as you normally would.

Our fee is 8% +$5.00 ( the $5.00 is to cover the load fee at the load location) for both debit card options.

Some people will be wondering why should they pay Bitcoin-Brokers 8% when they could simply sell their bitcoin at Coinbase and have the funds transferred to their account for much less. Coinbase is a great company, and if you have a very small amount of bitcoin to sell, then Coinbase is probably the route you should pursue for obviously reasons. Though, if you use Coinbase to liquidate large amounts of bitcoin and have those funds transferred to your bank account from Coinbase, it is only a matter of time before your bank will close every single one of your accounts without warning.

Simply perform a Googe search for "coinbase closed bank account" and you will read countless stories of Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC, Chase and all the major banks closing people's bank accounts because they used the bank for their bitcoin business.

You can avoid losing your business accounts, and your personal accounts by having Bitcoin-Brokers personally visit your bank, and make a simple cash deposit into your account, and by doing so, your bank will never have any idea that these funds were associated with bitcoin whatsoever, and thus preserve your banking relationships.

Who is Bitcoin-Brokers?
