184  Economy / Collectibles / my raffles on: June 28, 2020, 05:47:34 PM
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated in the 4 raffles I did - I mentioned to a few that my family suffered a loss, my cousin, Tim Montressor Monday June 22, 2020 due to COVID related complications.  He was very prominent in the professional sport of paint ball for near 20 years and was the founder of the ICC (ironcityclassic.com)

If so inclined, you may read about him and what my aunt/uncle said/posted to the public via PB Nation

https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=6017181

Anyways - long story short, I appreciate all those that participated in the raffles. My goal was to sell a few of my extras and raise funds that I will be providing as either bitcoin (depending on whether I can get my aunt/uncle to understand bitcoin or not) or it's equivalence in fiat to my aunt and uncle to help with costs associated with fulfilling Tim's final wishes.

Between the raffles and the mining reward I got from kano.is - I have close to $730

Again, thank you all!

189  Economy / Collectibles / Tangem wallets on: June 16, 2020, 07:09:59 PM
My order came in. They are a bit smaller than I thought, just a bit smaller than a credit card.

They did sync fine with the app - though I did not save the app, just downloaded the app, held a card to the phone - it easily scanned it in and shows a public address and balance of zero. It appears that you then can load to the card using the public address. In order to send from the card, it appears that you need to have the card near the phone so that the app can scan it.

One thing I will need to try is to put a small bit on one, and see if I set it up on one device what will happen if its "tapped" to a new device - I want to know if someone can essentially steal the card and they have all the funds on it simply because they have the card ? or because it is sync'd to my device that it is requires my phone?

Also, what happens if I lose my phone? Can I easily access it with another device - the above scenario about someone stealing it would answer this question as it is basically the scenario just not "stolen"

I just don't have the time anymore to use it - I bought it new and used it extensively until about a year ago. With all the new grandchildren, I just do not get out to the car shows anymore and when I do, I use the drone. Bag, charger, original manuals and one battery included.

193  Economy / Collectibles / looking for CryptoArt on: May 18, 2020, 02:28:27 PM
hello - after seeing the raffle for "The Tinkerer" I ordered some of my own CryptoArt (I waited to place my order until after the raffle - lol wanted to see if I would get lucky and win the first piece to my soon to be collection)

I purchased the following ones and will be eagerly awaiting their arrival.

I am looking for the following in the 8.5"x11" size if anyone has them available as they are sold out on the site - oh and would be possibly interested in 8.5"x11" of the Satoshi Roundtable images - there are 3 on the site but require a password to view/order - a password I do not have Sad

194  Economy / Collectibles / cryptowallet.cards on: May 13, 2020, 12:20:54 AM
anyone familiar with this company? Starting to see them pop up on eBay - the seller is showing both public key and private key - I checked a few out of curiosity and all the ones that I did check never had funds. I did send the seller a message letting him know that the cards are compromised as someone could simply keep the keys and sweep the wallet any time in the future.

their card design confuses me though as there is a hologram that looks like it would need to be removed but then the private key is also printed on the card right next to it.

or am I wrong?

edit: found their actual website and based on the images they provide, it looks like they also put the private key on the card without anything covering it

195  Economy / Collectibles / Ballet Crypto Real Series Wallets - Holiday themed boxes on: May 12, 2020, 06:54:07 PM
I found these and thought I would share - the boxes are very holiday and/or seasonally themed. Not sure if these are in the works for the upcoming holiday season or just leftovers from last year. Maybe Ballet Crypto can weigh in and offer more information.

These two definitely look Christmas oriented

This one I would say could be New Years or 4th of July because of the fireworks

This one would be great for Birthdays!

This one makes me think of Fall (the colors) and Winter (snow) --- edit: I just realized the trees were done up with crypto ornaments so this one could be Christmas as well

196  Other / Meta / Moderators deleting posts offering escrow services in Market Place?!?! on: April 25, 2020, 09:26:58 PM
I know some moderators can be heavy handed deleting posts left and right. But would they delete posts in the marketplace of someone who's offering to be escrow? when that person has 100% positive trust and feedback when it comes to buying/selling/escrow?

I volunteer my services as escrow if you choose to use one. I have 100% positive trust ratings in all trades/sells/buys I have been part of on this forum as a buyer/seller/escrow provider.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / FusionSilicon on: April 20, 2020, 12:18:45 AM
can anyone who has purchased from FusionSilicon as to their actual official website? There are so many scam sites out there, it can be often hard to tell.

https://fusionsilicon.tech/

or

http://www.fusionsilicon.com/

I have searched the forums but find very few posts concerning them - only found one post mentioning the .com one and none concerning the .tech one.
198  Economy / Computer hardware / Raffle for one Antminer T17 40 TH/s Free USA Shipping on: April 12, 2020, 12:57:27 AM
I really liked the raffle done by @rxalts here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5234181.0 and I would like to do something similar.

So, what I am going to do is raffle off one Antminer T17 40 TH/s unit - full specs @ https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020445993-T17-Specifications

I originally tried this with 100 slots but after almost 3 weeks we were only at 47% of the slots sold. So, I am going to cut the number of slots in half - tickets will be double the price but each slot will have two chances of winning.

People can buy as many slots as they so desire to increase their odds. This is a great way to take a small risk to get a chance of getting a decent piece of hardware at a minimal price.

This will include free shipping in the USA and international shipping will have to be case by case - I will cover the first $100 of the shipping cost if international.

First slot is $20 second and third slot are $18 ea while any further slots are $16 ea - so 5 slots would net you 10 numbers to win and cost you 20+18+18+16+16 = $88

There is no limit to how many slots one may select.

For payment - @philipma1957 will provide escrow - he will provide an address when we start collecting payments which will commence once 90% of the slots have been taken. So, for now, just select your slot - we will let everyone know when payments are needed.

To select the winner, we will start with the first block after all spots have been taken but also starting with the block 626500, if all slots are not taken we will go with increments of 100 until all slots are taken:

# 626600
# 626700
# 626800
# 626900
# 627000

etc, etc - we will use the hash of the block to determine the winner - for example block 622835 had the following hash: 0000000000000000000ed0ff8dded432ead90f812ad07e2d5944b6d5e7540c42

So, in that case #42 would be the winner. If the block ends in an alpha character, we will go with the next sequential block(s) until we have one that ends with 2 numbers.

I will use list below to keep track of numbers as they are selected - so please use that list but also please review newer posts to see any possible numbers that have not been added to the list yet. If there are any numbers taken more than once, the first one to post the selected number will receive that spot and the others will be contacted via pm to pick new numbers.

200  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS - Two T17's 40 TH version on: March 06, 2020, 07:23:53 PM
both average between 41.5 th/s and 42 th/s though

In anticipation of making room to add an S19 when they are released, I figured I would sell my T17's

Asking 800 each new price $750 each- shipped in original boxes to anywhere in the continental US - shipping outside of that will have to be extra.

I would have @philipma1957 or @ognasty do escrow - buyer pays escrow fees though.

one was purchased May 2019 and the other October 2019 so neither are a year old yet.

Both are running original manufacturer firmware and have never ran anything other than that.

If you really need pictures, let me know and I will post some up. I would not say I am well known here, but I am known and I have bought/sold at least a dozen miners, if not more thru the forums.
