I am seeing that network diff is 6,404,536.6
and my best share on three of my L3+ are:
1,075,611,604 on 1st
5,916,014,328 on a 2nd
17,863,182,659 on a 3rd
all three are solo mining on ViaBTC but have "found" no blocks
I thought the share just needed to be higher than network diff - so, what am I missing?

I recently got a hold of an Antminer X3 - are these still usable? I do not do a lot of asic mining for altcoins - 99% of my altcoin mining is using gpu rigs where my asic mining is either SHA-256 or Scrypt.
I am curious if there are still pools where the X3 can still mine. any insight is appreciated.

I got an S9 for $20 at a yard sale, of all places, the guy claimed that the miner was still good but that due to it's diminished profitability he did not want to buy a new PSU. I figured for $20 it was no real big loss. So, the S9 has some "burnt" looking pin receptacles on the hashboards, the PSU has melted wires and quite a few burnt looking pin connectors.    I was brave and risked another PSU from one of my known working S9's and plugged in the S9 I bought - the green leds on the controller lit up and eventually the red led's on the hashboards lit up. I am not really versed in what the kernel log should say - I do see the following "errors" 1. "Unable to init USB phy, missing?" 2. "no vqmmc regulator found" 3. multiple instances of "bmminer not found, restart bmminer ..." 4. "No valid pools, please configure them first!" --- this I know how to fix The first 3 I also see in the kernel logs for my other working S9's and they still work. I was not wanting to leave the miner hooked up to my good psu for long so I powered it down and disconnected it at this point. My plan is: 1. To remove the 6pin wires from the PSU and use a meter to test the PSU - though, to be honest, I am no electrician I would not know which 2 of the 4 connections in the PSU to test - I assume I need to test it as two sets. At this location:  2. If it tests as being good - to replace the wires and then try the miner again. My questions are this: 1. Can anyone point me to a source for the wires? I have googled them and see sets but none exactly as the PSU has. 2. Do I need to replace the connections on the hashboards first? If so, does anyone know anyone that does this - and is it worth even doing? 3. Based on the kernel log above, is there something else I am missing or are there other areas of concern within the log that would give reason to assume the miner is toast? |

my T17 of just a few months stopped responding today around 130pm EST. I went to check on it when I got home, it had the fault light on.
First, I turned off the power, check the outlets, the ethernet cable, after about 5 minutes, I turned the power back on. Miner powered on but the "normal" light was not lit but neither was the "fault" and I could not log into it via the ip address.
Second, I tried a known working ethernet cable from one of my other miners that was visible on network. Did a restart of the miner, waited 10 minutes and nope could not see the miner on the network. So, I put the ethernet cables back to original placement.
Third, I did the reset process. waited about 10 minutes and tried to log into it via ip address - still nothing. So, just if for some odd reason it was given a new IP address, I rescanned my network and nope no new devices and no new ip addresses assigned.
Fourth, now checking to see if it is still under warranty. Got this message from Bitmain site "Equipment warranty period 109 days remaining."
So, I guess I am contacting them to send it back. Sucks to have that down time though.

anyone having issues with seeing details on ViaBTC via a webpage? The app is working fine on my phone but the website will not load on my pc - tried 3 different browsers, edge, chrome and firefox.

I ordered from user MineFarmBuy on August 17th - it was currently back ordered at that time. The idea was within a week or so, they would have them in stock. On August 23rd, I got notice it would ship on August 27th (actually shipped August 24th) - miner was received at my home on August 31st. So, total time was 14 days - not too bad considered it was out of stock at the time of order. I did not use escrow for the order as I placed it direct on their site minefarmbuy.com - there was a decent discount for paying in BTC so that was a plus. The miner was packaged very well and came with a 8A power brick and a 6 foot long USB cord.       I did need to download a few things - 1. cgminer http://23.108.83.14/images/cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b.7z2. zadig http://zadig.akeo.ie/both of the above originally linked here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.0once I opened Zadig I went to Options > list all devices and then selected R606 Bitcoin Miner and selected "Reinstall Driver"  after that I unzipped the CgMiner and reviewed the readme files - after which I ran cgminer.exe following the prompts for pool info/user name/pw and the miner was hashing away! The loudest the miner got was 81 dB also worth noting the miner is cool to the touch, not even slightly warm  edit - when I took the dB reading, I had left my Apollo miner on - new reading with Apollo off 62 dB  Power usage I found after letting it run for 3 hours now on setting 5: 1.193 amps - 118.4 volts - 76.7 watts    I now have a miner on either side of my desk   |

I paid for a miner last night and it still has not had a single transaction - the btc is not in my wallet nor is it in the sellers wallet - what normally happens here? will it eventually be confirmed? does it get returned? does it go to the nether? lol I have done a lot of transactions over the years with various coins and I have never had one not get a confirmation

I know I am relatively new here and even with philipma1957 taking a hiatus from escrow services, we still have quite a few reputable and trustworthy members that also serve as escrow services.
That being said, I would like to offer to my services as an escrow provider as well. I see this an both an opportunity and as a privilege to serve this community. I see this as only being beneficial to the community to have multiple available escrow providers.
- Once contacted by either seller or buyer - I will draft a contract involving seller, buyer and myself with terms/conditions. This should cover all the possible "if this, then this" scenarios
- Once both parties agree, I will provide a "escrow" address to buyer and request a "refund address" from buyer and a "pay to" address from seller
- The "escrow" address I provide will be an address specific to this contract only - I will provide a new address for each contract
- I will be willing to escrow using the following crypto currencies: BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC
- Once funds are received into the "escrow" address, I will notify both parties and seller will need to ship item and provide tracking
- Once package is received by buyer, they will have a mutually agreed amount of time to review product once it arrives (1 to 2 days typically)
- If there are issues - they will need to be communicated and I will work with both buyer & seller to come to a fair resolution
- Once buyer and seller are satisfied, I will release funds to the seller
- I will charge 1% fee
there are also some things I will not perform escrow services for:

No gift cards

Per the feedback left today by user jrc209 - he claims I pm'd him about getting an secured loan - he there is no pm of this. Are there admins that can see pm's and verify?
I would like to have this feed back removed!

I am making an order now for a T17 which says it can use a 358 coupon.
anyone got one available they are willing to sell now? would like to complete the order before I go to bed. they may be sold out by the time I wake up.
EDIT - bought one, but while waiting for my payment to go thru, I did not get the coupon in time to purchase the miner and they are now sold out again. I hope I can still use the coupon for the next time a window opens.

I am kind of curious as I see this more and more often - where the sellers are listing items with "30 day returns" and list prices but when you get to the description, it states they will only take direct payment - ie not thru eBay/PayPal - or will take crypto only. how and why does eBay allow this? For example, taking direct payments and/or crypto cuts eBay out of their commission, right? I would be tempted to buy based on their eBay rating and that if I go thru eBay and they do not deliver - I have recourse for a refund. This seller makes it sound like he will be ripped off if they go thru eBay - seller's are also protected, they can prove they shipped with a tracking. And again by going outside of eBay, there is no recourse or safety for the buyer. I can find listings like this for all types of items - heck one guy asked me to pay him more on PayPal on the side after I won an auction because he found that the item was selling for more on another ad on eBay. When I refused, he cancelled the sale and refunded me what I had already paid... I do not see how eBay allows this. Am I missing something? |

what is the best way to measure power consumption? I see a lot of people reference the killawatt devices but I do not see any 220v version for US outlets. currently, all my miners are on L620P - is there an easy way to measure or do I need to change all my outlets? I would not mind changing one out but again all the killawatt devices I can find are for 110v outlets
maybe I am blind and missing something?

I can operate only 20 miners at my location. Currently, I plan on purchasing some new T15's, so I need to make room, thus I have for sale the following miners:

The miners are in perfect working condition - all hashboards/controllers are working perfectly, miners are currently plugged in and hashing away.

Miners have not been overclocked and are all currently using the November LPM software, so power consumption is down and hashrate is normal - the newest LPM software lowers both power consumption and hashrate. If you contact me, I can provide a timestamped photo of the miners that show them working. The miners currently vent directly to outside so have never been overheated as the ventilation system runs at about 3k cfm of incoming air with an added dehumidifier system that keeps the air dry - in short, these miners have not been abused and have been well maintained. If you have any specific questions - please message me and I will answer as soon as I can. Upon sale, miner will have default user name/password reset - pool configurations reset and then re-packaged in original packaging.
