Because of the current situation of the market, the IOStokens price continued to decrease. And as of now, the value of a single coin is 0.0101$. For all my fellow holders out there, what are your insights about this situation? Should I hold on to my coins or should I sell?

Here are some of the famous sayings (that are completed or revised?) that we can apply in the crypto community and we should know by heart.
Let's start it with our first saying. It means that we should not be afraid when we are trying some new things. For example, you are afraid to try doing some YouTube videos because you don't have enough knowledge to do some, but if you put your heart on doing so, you can learn how to make a good content video. If you fail, you can try again. Use it as a lesson. This second saying is perfectly applicable in this community. For example, there is a situation wherein a beginner asks what to do to his 10 BTC. Then people started saying that he should sell them immediately, and this people are all legendary ranked members. (As we all know, most legendary members are here in this forum longer than any other members.) It just states that conformity is not always the good thing. And that just because more than one person has the same idea, doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea. This next saying came from its original saying "Money is the root of all evil". Although this saying that I include is a little bit different from its original form. It states that warns us about the greed of people in wanting money. Having money isn't a problem, it's wanting money that's sinful. We should not be blinded by the money, once we get blinded, we all do unimaginable things that should not be done. (Excuse me, scammers!)This next saying is the one I liked among the others. It simply states that being average is not that bad. I would pick being average at doing different bounty campaigns than doing just being the best at doing a content/twitter campaign. Being only at average is sometimes better. I highlighted the word sometimes because there are still some good points in being the best at something, for example in doing translation campaign. Sometimes, the best ones are picked among the other members. Hope I bring some good sayings that will change your perspective about these things. This is my source. If you want to read others, you can look at it. And share your thoughts! Have a good day guys!

As we can see, there are lots of coins that are being offered in the market every single day. Does every single coins that are in the market really usable in our daily lives? According to Bitcoin.com, the enormous number of tokens existing in the market is currently bringing confusion to the investors. For example, they wanted to invest their money in Quarkchain, but bought the Quark instead. Which is a totally different coin. I know that it is probably the fault of the investors for not double checking the coin, but too much coins in the market also plays a big factor.
Are there any solutions about this problem that we, the users in this forum, can do?

According to Bitcoin.com Cryptocurrencies in Indonesia will be regarded as commodities, according to a new decision by the country’s futures market regulator. It comes after a study concluding that digital coins deserve the commodity status. The government is expected to prepare a broader regulation covering other aspects of the crypto sector including trading and taxation. What do you think will happen to cryptocurrency now that Indonesia is legalizing the cryptocurrency in their country? Even though they have stated earlier this year that they are banning Bitcoin? I think that it will serve as a positive news to cryptocurrency and might help to gain a lot of new investors. Because of the study that Futures Exchange Supervisory Board (Indonesia) conducted in the past four months, they have concluded that Cryptocurrency is a commodity. I think that it might serve as a sign to other countries to legalize Cryptocurrency in their countries. This is the Source.

As the heading stated, can we join or is it breaking the rules? I haven't yet joined any bounty campaigns other than signature campaigns so I don't know what are the do's and don'ts in there. So, can you help me with this? I know that the rewards is the same as airdrops, it is just a small amount. But, a reward is a reward no matter how small it is, right?

According to CCN.com; Signs of Diminishing dominance of Bitcoin Firstly, Bitcoin (BTC) has had a hard time breaking the $9,000 levels lately. The King of Crypto has been unable to break through past $9k for the last 10 days. At the same time, the total crypto market capitalization has been oscillating between $360 Billion and $408 Billion. The current BTC dominance stands at 37.1% of this market cap. However, when we look at the dominance of Ethereum (ETH), it has increased from 17% in early April, to current levels of 18.55%. Secondly, there has been a growing trend of tokens and coins doing double digit gains as Bitcoin (BTC) stagnates or dips further. Once such case is the recent 10% gains of Ox (ZRX), Zilliqa (ZIL), Aelf (ELF) and Ontology (ONT) on May 17th; less than 3 days ago. This act of Ethereum gaining dominance over Bitcoin is known as ‘Flippening’ in the Crypto-verse and has been further defined below. Flippening is a term that defines the act of one or more altcoins, no longer riding on the back of Bitcoin in terms of deriving market value from it. It marks the end of the dominance and special status of one coin in the form of market capitalization and popularity amongst crypto enthusiasts, and the entry of a new, better and more popular alternative. Source: https://ethereumworldnews.com/the-flippening-of-bitcoin-btc-has-begun/So, what's your opinion about this news? First of all, is it true that Ethereum is slowly creeping to the top and probably dethroning bitcoin? Can we see in the future that the face of cryptocurrency is not Bitcoin but will be replaced by Ethereum? If that may happen, what will happen to Bitcoin?

That said, how can I convert my IOStoken to ETH in the same wallet in MyEtherWallet? Or is it possible to convert it directly to my Bitcoin Wallet (coins.ph)? Because that is how I want it. Convert my tokens to BTC so I can convert it into my local money. Can you please give me a guide on how to convert it properly, because I am still a newbie and this is the first time I am paid by tokens.

I think that I should post this one, since he/she replied to my post without really saying anything. Just quoting my post. AthavanSI took a peek at his/her post history, but all of them are only just quotes of the op or a random comment. Please review this one. I don't know how to put an image so this is just the link of the post history. AthavanS' Post History

What do you think about this one? Apparently, a bank in UK is planning to open a Crypto Trading Desk - Barclays, the second-largest bank in the UK, but is still in early stages. They even have an indirect ownership of an existing Crypto Trading Desk in Circle, which handles a lot of transactions per day. What can be the effects of it once it will be implemented in the bank? Is it a good idea to have one? I think that it will have a good effect on Bitcoin, and will make it more popular. Since if this will be implemented, investors might be a feel a little sense of security once it will be handled by a bank. Although, some may just invest in Bitcoin without knowing first what it is. You know, the kind of people who only ride with the hype. SourceFor more info, this is the link.

I am wondering if there are coins that are independent to the Bitcoin price? Like, if Bitcoin's value increases, the altcoin will not increase at the same time Bitcoin does. Or maybe, I am wrong that the price of Bitcoin doesn't have any effect to the value of altcoins? Please enlighten me with this topic. If there's any coins that are independent, what are the benefits that you can get in investing to that altcoin that you can't get in investing in Bitcoin?

I just watched a news about Bitcoin scam here in the Philippines a little while ago that aired on the national television. A couple scammed almost 1 Billion Php (19,260,000$) to 50 Filipinos by the use of pyramiding scheme. What will be the impact of this news to the Bitcoin investors in the Philippines? Will it decrease? I think that it will have a big negative impact in the reputation of bitcoin in Philippines. Since it aired on the national television and almost all Filipinos can see it, some of the future investors will be frightened to invest in bitcoin. And that will decrease the potential bitcoin users worldwide. http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2018/04/10/bitcoin-scam-pnp.html

I have some suggestions that I think will improve the bitcointalk forum.
(1) Notification - Something like the notification bar in Facebook. Wherein you can get the numbers whether some users replied to your posts or if someone quoted your replies. It will make it easier to look for the new replies. Only, if that is possible to be applied in this forum.
(2) Bitcoin Value Bar - The current value of bitcoin. It can be placed at the bottom of the date, or at the center of the heading. It is much better to have other coins as well, such as Ethereum and Litecoin.
(3) Friends List - In my opinion, it is necessary in this forum. As for myself, I joined this forum because of my friends. And it would help if we have some friends list to quickly show the people you have added.
These are just some of the ideas/suggestions that I think will improve the forum. It does not mean that it will truly benefit the forum. But just in my own perspective.

Let us say that countries finally accepted and legalized bitcoin. And they finally be aware of its benefits and its worth. Is there a possibility that countries start a war in other countries over bitcoin because of greed?

I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?

If you have a flash drive full of bitcoins and then suddenly, you lose it or it became unusable, the bitcoins in there will be gone forever. Am I right? So, if that's the issue, is it possibe that we run out of supply of bitcoins? If that were to happen, will bitcoin die along with other coins? Or will it die alone?

Just crossed my mind today. Will it make sense if someone will create a paper money equivalent of bitcoin? And the coins will be the smallest unit of bitcoin, Satoshi? Like the currency today? I think it is okay if it became a globally accepted currency. And it will serve as a payment for everyday goods. What do you think?
