In one of the topics here appeared the subject of downloading the human brain into a hard drive in the near future. Also one of Ray Kurzweil's books was mentioned. What do you think (feel about) of this? Will it happen in the next 50 (maximum) years? Will this be the first step in becoming immortal?

After long and secular debates about atheism, the need for a separate topic about God's existence has arisen. There are amongst us a group of people who believe that while there is no proof that God exists, there also is no proof that He doesn't exist. Please share your argument in a logical manner and abstain from saying things like "I'm right because I'm right". I know that this, in the end, is a philosophical discussion so only logical are welcome.

Right now I am watching, and mining, burst because it uses HDD capacity to mine which I find interesting.
Of course if altcoins go on the rise everything will make a slight rebound but I am wondering about interesting coins that newly got something different that might get a huge jump.

https://www.swisscex.com/market/TOP_BTCI mined it because I mine basically any coin I find at launch. Honestly I didn't expect it to ever reach an exchange and if it did that it would only be barely sellable in a litecoin market. Two day block halving seems far too quick for a coin to sustain miners in the long term because it will quickly be worth next to nothing per block unless the price shoots up.

Coin forum thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=394958.0Series of Events basically went like this. 1. Cagecoin is created 2. Dev disappears after 6 days 3. Dev returns after 21 more days with a single post of an official pool 4. People complain about official pool not being possible to cash out from 5. Website and block explorer go down. Basically if you have the coin your options are hope someone comes into to take over the coin or cashout while you can.

You should all know better at this point that at the first sign of a high price raise the site stops functioning at any decent level.
I sold mine at BTER and have had 0 problems.
|
|
|
Of course I sold it on BTER since every other coin with a quick raise I have experience has caused constant problems at Cryptsy, which is why I have had BTER in my signature for a while.
Did Cryptsy crash and burn with this raise as well?
I would like to have another exchange with decently high volume I can use but BTER seems to be the only one I haven't had issues with.
Definitely regret selling my 500k doge when I did.

This is not my coin I am just posting it to Announcements since the creator never did. The creator is the same as Dogecoin.
Original thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349695.0[BEL] BellsScrypt coin based on the currency from the Nintendo game Animal Crossing.Logo by DaswiruchIn the Animal Crossing universe, Bells are the primary form of currency. To gather them, you must collect fruits, catch bugs, fish, dig for fossils, etc. and trade those items for Bells. In the crypto world, we just mine for them! The Bell amount you get from the various items is quite random, so Bells as a cryptocurrency has random rewards in various denominations as well. My holdings as of thread creationMy coin holdings as of creating this thread were mentioned that I might have a lot and wanting to pump the coin to sell. At the start of this post I have ~42k bells and only have about 250 KH/s to mine with. You can look at how many blocks have been mined already and the current mining hashrate yourself and see that isn't much.
If anyone wants to donate to me for bringing awareness to the coin they can here if they want: BDCiYUTiHqrcs81BZBUeZU1ZZ991xqo6uD
I like Animal Crossing and cryptocurrencies that don't have billion+ totals. That is why I made sure this coin got posted in the correct section even though it is a little older.

I have two that I think would be good.
1. Beads - Beads have been used as a currency before and it separates itself from ****coin names that are common.
2. Steamcoin - When dogecoin first got people's interest it was traded for steam games first. I don't think valve would be the type of company to attempt to stop a cryptocurrency using their logo and it gives the coin an intended purpose that wouldn't be too difficult to actually achieve.

I am currently mining NoodlyAppendageCoin.

With the latest bitcoin crash some of them are finally realizing Bitcoin might not be equal to a god. Since they have having problems cashing out for USD now is the time to comment so they know they have the option of transferring into other coins.
