122  Economy / Services / Hiring CAD technician for small project on: November 03, 2015, 10:11:14 PM
I'm looking for a CAD technician to help me on a small project.
Obviously I'm willing to pay competitive rates but nothing crazy.
Please let me see samples of previous work and your pricing.

The job itself is quite easy.
The hardest part will be finding the dimension size of certain screwdrivers and creating flat drawings of them.

Let me know if you're interested.
By accepting the job, you will handover all rights to the material produced. A contract may even be necessary.

Thanks Smiley
123  Economy / Services / Looking for Graphic Design Partner on: October 13, 2015, 05:22:10 PM
Looking for a graphic designer for a project I'm working on.
The work consists of creating a logo as well as some templates.
This listing is for a percentage of profits from a business venture. I can also compensate you with some BTC but not as a salary. It'll be something small as a token.
Obviously this will require a full contract with terms.
Please let me know if you're interested and let me know what experience you have.

Thanks
124  Other / Off-topic / The Awesome Blocks Modular Smartwatch!!! on: October 12, 2015, 05:58:03 PM
Hi all...
I’m an ambassador for Blocks. You may or may not know what Blocks is, but by the end of this post you’d have a pretty good idea and you would probably want to buy one Wink

Blocks is a modular smartwatch. It consists of a series of modular links, each with a different function. The watch is fully customisable and therefore fully suited to each individual and every lifestyle.

Each Blocks watch has a core module. This is the heart of the device. It provides the watch with all the technology it needs to function and can act as a standalone smartwatch. By adding additional modules to the watch, you can do things like increase battery life, include a GPS tracker, a heart rate monitor, a kinetic charger etc. You can add any module available to completely customise the watch.
For more information, look at their site: www.chooseblocks.com

Well... What do you guys think?

126  Economy / Services / [Hiring] Web Developer for Simple Website on: August 29, 2015, 11:26:12 PM
Hello world ( Wink)
I'm looking for a web developer to create a simple website for me

I'm not a pro when it comes to websites so you can decide what would be best (html, Java, Python, Wordpress)...
The site should be nice and clean. It's mainly for information purposes about a company.

The site should have the following:

Logo at the top
About us
Where to buy
Contact us
Terms

I'd like these tabs to be centred at the top of the page. They don't need to redirect to new pages but can all be on one page and clicking the tan brings you to the relevant section on that page.

The colour scheme should be simple and layout should be neat. I'd also need a few pictures on the site.

Please reply to this thread if you can help. Please also post screenshots of your previous works or your portfolio and a rough/final price.

Thanks

133  Other / Meta / BitcoIntalk phishing PM! Warning! on: June 07, 2015, 09:59:08 AM
This morning I got a PM from a newbie asking me if an account (he gave me a link in the PM) was an alt of mine.
I straight away new something was up because I only have one alt and barely post on it...
I clicked on the link in the PM to see the profile of the user he was talking about and something weird happened. For some reason the forum asked me to log in with my account credentials.
I thought that was quite strange so I looked at the address in the browser.
The sneaky son of a ***** had a phishing link set up to steel people's log ins...

If you get a message like this, DO NOT enter your credentials! Make sure you're account has an address that you can sign to prove ownership...

Here is the PM:

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

hey is this your alt?
https://bitcolntalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=388262
is it for sale? it's listed for sale in the service section said contact you. how much you want?
134  Other / New forum software / A few neat ideas... on: May 04, 2015, 08:52:16 AM
So, I've been thinking... (Yay me)

1) Now that the forum is pretty big and sees a lot of visitors, posts and threads a day, a large number of the posts are spam or bumps etc.
Users often reply to a thread with +1, I agree, ditto and many other ways of announcing their agreement.
To avoid this, can we apply a like/invite system to each post? Say a person likes the post above him or a post somewhere in a thread, all the user needs to do is hit the arrow button which adds to the number of likes/dislikes that post has. That will be bound to cut quite a few posts out daily.
Mods can also implement a new rule that states those who don't use the system but rather post likes and such will be suspended. A reaper violation of the rule will lead to a banning...

2) With regards to bumps, threads are often bumped, especially by the OP (very often in the marketplace section). There are those users who delete their last bump post on their thread before reposting the bump, but what about having an automatic bump button?
Say a seller wants to bump his thread, every 24 hours he should have the option on his thread to 'bump' it. A designated button on the original post should bump the thread up automatically wothout having the need to post an actual bumping up post. That too should also cut back on the many useless posts the forum gets...

3) I like the idea of tagging users (read it on here before but including it anyway).

4) Quote and tag (3) notifications. - Should you be quoted or tagged in a post, instead of going back through pages ad pages in a large thread, simple notifications of the quoted or tagged post could redirect you directly to the specific post.

5) More organised PM inbox and outbox. I'm not exactly sure on the best way to do this, but my PM box for example is very cluttered. I have PMs from various users which come mid conversation with another member. Just a possibility, but perhaps all PMs can be sorted out under each user (kind of like a Skype chat style layout). I can click on a user in my inbox and see all the messages he/she sent me and my replies in a chat layout with dates above each message to show when each were sent).

What do you think?

Edit: Added some other ideas (they may have already been suggested).
135  Economy / Services / [Hiring] Java Developer - See details inside on: April 30, 2015, 05:56:04 AM
Hi all,
I'm looking for a skilled and trustworthy Java developer.
The task involves testing a bit of code and looking for exploits. Should there be any issues with the code, I'd need the developer to be able to 'fix' them up.
If the code works first time then there'll be very little for the developer to do.
If you can help with this, please post below or send me a PM with a price in mind.

Thanks
136  Economy / Services / Need Skilled Product Designer - Payment & Potential Partnership on: April 27, 2015, 05:45:01 AM
I'm looking for a product designer to help me design a watch.
Further details can be disclosed via PM.
I am offering both payment and a potential partnership opportunity to the designer that I choose. The partnership would entail a percentage of the profit of all sales of the watch.
If you're a designer, please post some of your previous works and a link to your portfolio.
I'm not looking for any animations or graphic design.
I'm looking for work on actual products...
Sketches are accepted...

Thanks
